    Yum, Chinese!!

I agree with the anti social. I am definitely becoming more of a homebody as I get older and covid only made that worse.
    Hi Sara
So we both had chin

Yeah Covid certainly didn’t help our social lives.

DH made me an appointment for lab work and they set it for 2:30 in the afternoon o_O And I already had an appointment with the dentist for the same day at 11 a.m. Ugh! Guess I’ll go through with it and get it all over with and out of the way for modern gun season.

Well, I started feeling lazy about not cooking so tonight I fixed pork tenderloin (I just had to thaw it out), rice, Brussel Sprouts, and tossed salad. It was good but not something I am going to do often.

Washed windows today which I normally hate to do. The windows that tilt for easy cleaning are fantastic. I hope it is sunny in the morning so I can see it shine in my clean windows. It is going to be awesome.

Glad I am not the only one to have alarm mishaps. I mainly wanted a system for peace of mind if I spent the night away. Now I just have to plan a get-a-way. ;)

Hope everyone has a good night.

    GOOD MORNING Lurkers.

Slept well for the 2nd night in a row and I am loving it. The coffee is so good this morning too. I have not decided what I want to do today. I would be finished with that closet I was working on if I would go through the coats hanging in there. It is getting colder weather and there is no reason why dad's warm coats should not be helping someone in need. There are a bunch of my mom's coats in there that I bet will fit me. I still have not figured out why she had so many shoes, clothes, and jewelry considering she was more of a hermit that only went out to get cigarettes.

I have never worn coats in the winter. I think I've told y'all my thermostat does not work right. I rarely get cold when I should. Now my hands and feet stay cold all the time. Even though they have changed my thyroid meds 3 times, I don't think they are right yet. I go back next month for another check. We will see.

I cannot believe tomorrow is Friday again. The week has passed so quickly. I have not heard from Jay since Tuesday (which has not upset me) but if he is wanting to get together this weekend, he better call and make plans cause I am not afraid to make other plans. heehee I have not told y'all and Derek and Jim yet. Dad might have kept me from leaving the house but he had no control over who I kept in contact with. snicker, snicker

Have a great day Lurkers!

    Good morning Rat2
Sorry to hear about your thyroid difficulties, I take thyroid medication also but I guess it works since it’s never been changed

Isn’t it stupifing how quickly time passes in your 60’s?

Hope you have a wonderful day, I’m working so there’s that.

    Good evening lurkers

Nothing wrong with having other plans, Rat2 ;)

Yay!! A new fridge  and it’s almost the weekend for you, Joey.

Well thank goodness you are making tuna, Dale. You won’t starve this weekend ;) Kidding. I hope your bf has an awesome birthday.

Breakfast sandwiches for dinner and then we finally picked our pumpkins to carve this weekend. Time sure does fly in your 40s too, ya know. How is it the end of October already!!

Fran, this is a re-run. heehee I love copy and paste.

I was so busy yesterday. I got up 5 more bags of clothes to take to the church. I had kept the following 2 sizes for when I gain again but I decided to just get rid of them. When I gain, I will go buy more. I like this attitude. heehee

My dad had an inexpensive desk that had two drawers. I drug it out to the enclosed back porch along with his oversized Lazy Boy recliner. Everything that I could find a place for I took out there.

I was going to take apart the desk and try to box it up to take to the church but I got agitated and unleashed the beast that resides within and it ended up in pieces. But looking on the bright side, it made it a lot easier to take down to the burn barrel and it is out of the house. My barrel was full of all the storm waste and bush trimmings but I got it all burned.

I wanted to take what I was drinking down to the burn barrel so I tucked it in my bra like I do everything else when I need both hands. I forgot I put it there and bent over to pick up more boards to throw on the fire and poured it all down my front. I wonder if the neighbors see me come out and decide to sit down and watch me because they know I always do something YouTube-worthy.

The enormous recliner (the one my feet did not even touch the floor) is now in the back of the truck. I have not decided what I am going to do with it. At least I did not burn it. I figured that one out when I burned all the old pillows and carpet from the bathroom. I was very grateful that the fire department did not take this opportunity to visit me.

Well anyway, I had a productive yesterday. A closet that has turned into crafts storage and a happy sunroom. And I did it all by myself without having to get out my medical toolbox. Yes, with dad, I had to make a box for quick emergencies I could take out in the yard. EMS has nothing on me.

No more setting off the sirens. Of course, I always try to find a way to help myself. I made a small label to go over each deadbolt lock in the house that simply says "ALARM". I am so clever at times that I scare myself. heehee Not sure what I am going to get into today. There really is no telling, but you know I'll tell you about it. ;)

    Happy Friday all.

Jay called last night and said he had a birthday party for a friend tonight and his son had something tomorrow night. He said he might call me if he gets a chance. WELL! I might be home or not. ;)

My friends Paula and Gary want me to come camping with them this weekend. I told her I would have to get back to her. The other time I went it was just me and her. Their camper is pretty big and the couch is a sleeper. With her hubby and 3 dogs, I am not sure it would be as relaxing as I require. heehee I love her dogs but I have not been around a puppy for a long time and best I remember, they are wild. Back in August, Walker was a cute little thing. Screenshot_20221028-080359_Message+.jpg Two short months later. . . Screenshot_20221028-080410_Message+ (1).jpg And Walker is all puppy judging from what Paula yells to him while on the phone with me. heehee

I may just stay at home in my pajamas and read. Who knows. But I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have the choice to do whatever I want to do. Life is good.

Wow oh wow, Rat2, you have been a busy girl!!! You deserve some rest. I’ll have to keep an eye out for you on YouTube. Lol!!

You too, Dale :) Hope you had a relaxing day!

We had a bunch of gift cards for the Olive Garden so that’s where we had dinner. Love that it cost nothing. Never ending pasta bowl was happening and I was so excited for endless alfredo. I couldn’t even finish the first plate. I’m still trying to convince myself that’s a good thing. ;)

Since I’m still feeling the effects of carb overload, I’m gonna call it a night! Sweet dreams

Well, it was a good day even though it cost $410 to fix the spring on the garage door. It was good that they came this afternoon. Only took two springs and 15 minutes. I would go back to work if I could make that kinda money. heehee

Cindy (my friend that put in my security system) came over this afternoon and we went to The Christmas Tree Shoppe. I was still looking for a bed skirt but they did not have one. Almost bought a soft throw but fought the urge. Did not see anything that I could not live without. Then we stopped and I bought our Chinese food and we just took it back to the house. It was so good. It will be good again tomorrow night with the leftovers too.

I still have not decided if I am going to go camping. I'm too full to think about it tonight. I'll see how I feel when I wake up.

    Happy Saturday all.

    Good morning lurkers

So glad you have a nice time with your bf, Dale. Girly time is the best!

Ouch! That’s a hefty bill to “spring” upon you, Rat2. Not the same…but we just had to pay our school taxes $4500, yeesh!!

Couldn’t sleep. Maybe too many carbs :(
It is supposed to be in the 60s today and tomorrow. We have to finish the outside stuff. Hope everyone has a great day!
