I was too and I know why. My aunt, cousin, and me went out to eat and I ate too much of the bad stuff. My fav restaurant has the best-fried pickles in town and hot chips came with the Cowboy burger I split with my aunt. Then my cousin did not eat all her fried okra and there was no way I was going to let that go to waste. See? I have NO willpower when I go out and cannot be trusted with fried food within my reach.

Oh well, like every other Monday, I am back to watching what I eat and I do great at home.

Every time I knitted or crocheted an afghan, my mom would say, "Oh, I don't have one like that" and I would give it to her. heehee Today a Jehovah's Witness that visited me two years ago stopped by the house. Of course, I forgot the darn alarm was on and set it off by mistake again.
    Blush.gif
Scared them to death but I got it turned off. I ended up inviting them in (since it was windy outside) and when they left they took a garbage bag full of mom's afghans. The older lady made a comment about them and seemed to like it so I told her to take it with her. I think she thought I was kidding but decided I was serious when I got the bag and put a few more in there for her. I had a brand new blanket that I was going to put on my old bed but she said she had just told her hubby that they needed a new blanket this winter so. . . I gave her that too. That's one way to get rid of stuff. heehee

I told her nicely that I was not interested in changing my religion but she asked to come back next week and I did not know what to tell her. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I also don't have the time to start a bible study class right now. I told them I was really busy right now and I may not even be home. We will see what happens and I will figure out something.

Did not hear one word from Jay this weekend. I know he said he was busy but I sort of thought he might take 2 minutes to text or call to just say hello. Guess I really need to work on not getting my feeling hurt so easily. It would probably be easier to leave fried pickles on my plate rather than this but I will ponder it.

Since the little sticker that said "alarm" did not seem to help me, I took a blank greeting card that had cardinals on it and stuck it so that I have to raise it up to stick the key in the lock. If that does not help me, I am not sure what I will do but I'm sure I will come up with something.

Hope everyone sleeps well and has a wonderful day tomorrow.

Sorry, your two days went by so quickly Joey but that new fridge is all kinds of exciting. I tried to get dad to buy a new one a couple of years ago instead of fixing the door that broke but nope, he got someone to fix it. It is thirty-plus years old but I have to admit it still does a good job even though the water dispenser does not work anymore. Next time something happens to it though, I will replace it.

Hope your work days go by just as fast as your weekend. I know I am rather inquisitive (some could possibly think nosy) but did your daughter sweep? I hope so although if I remember correctly my kids stopped wanting to help me when they got big enough to help me. heehee

Was to busy trying to wake her up that I forgot to ask her lol I'm going to ask her today since she is up already.

R2 keep that fridge as long as you can, the 1's they make now may not last as long. Plus they are expensive, I paid $2200 for the new 1. Also do not buy an LG or Samsung I read to many bad reviews for those 2 brands.

Hope you all have a great day

Total change of plans today, I got in a car accident on my way to the doctor this morning in their driveway. Both cars had to be towed, mechanic says insurance will probably total mine :(
I was able to get the blood drawn for lab work but canceled the dentist and afternoon doctor appointment. The guy that hit me insisted on an ambulance ride so I expect trouble from him. No obvious damage to him and he told me he wasn’t hurt when I asked so ...

And yes as far as I know I’m fine, just a little banged up. Hit my head pretty hard on the window but no knot or blood... and something happened to my right elbow that it hurts but no blood there either. Guess I’m pretty hardheaded  Hoping I’m not stiff tmr since I’m supposed to work.

Omgosh, Dale. Were you checked out either by your dr or an emt? I’m sorry the car had to be towed and might be a total loss. Fingers crossed the guy isn’t a turd. I am glad that you are ok, with minor bumps.
    Good evening Sara
    Nah I was okay.
I am afraid the guy won’t be reasonable but we’ll just have to wait and see.

My poor car , not even 60,000 miles on it  And since our cars are paid for we only have liability insurance.

Oh I am not going to worry a whole lot about it. I like going out with him and even though I am not sure what I want, I am darn sure of what I do not want. It will be okay. His cousin called me last week and said we should go out. Tonight he called and wants to take me to eat tomorrow night. He is a long-time friend. He used to work out of town a lot and he gave me signed checks and I paid his bills for him when I got his mail in. My son bought his house when he moved. He is a really nice guy but my cheeks always hurt when I am around him. He is a huge cut-up and quite funny.
they make now may not last as long.
That is exactly what the repair man told me. He said the one I had was better than the new ones. It is sort of sad that they have cut down on the quality so they can sell them more often. But it is what it is.
I am afraid the guy won’t be reasonable but we’ll just have to wait and see.
I am so sorry to hear this but so thankful that you are okay. That is really all that matters. I am sure the guy was upset and maybe that was why he acted that way. I try to give everyone the benefit of doubt until they convince me. I believe that most people are good. We will just hope for the best. Sending you good thoughts and hope you are not sore in the morning. Hope you took an antiinflammatory tonight before bed. Sorry, I'm always in caregiver mode. heehee

Should have worked on the living room today but I decided to go shopping instead.

I did two loads of clothes tonight. Boy, I sure don't have much wash. I like it. I like it a lot.

I found four of the sweatshirts I painted for mom many, many years ago. I can't believe they have not dry rotted. heehee I may have to wear one of them. It was a leopard and I put the spots down one sleeve. The others were seagulls, an Indian and a bunny. She never used the afghans I made her but she did wear these sweatshirts.

    Hugs to you all.

Well, a little snag in my better sleeping was expected. heehee hot sure what made me wake up but I couldn't go back to sleep so I am having my coffee a little early today. Who knows, sometimes coffee makes me sleepy. (yes I'm odd)

Dad laughed at me for putting duct tape over a hole in my tennis shoe every day when I went to walk but would never offer to buy me a new pair. He even had me take him to get a new pair one day and I just knew he would buy me a pair too. Nope, after he picked out his shoes he said he was ready to go. So now, technically, he has bought me a bunch of shoes but I do not have any brown ones. The outfit I was planning on wearing tonight would definitely look better with brown shoes. Maybe that's why I couldn't sleep.

Since I can't sleep, I think I will head on over to the Amazonian and take a little look-see. Hope y'all are sleeping peacefully.
