    Good morning lurkers

So glad you have a nice time with your bf, Dale. Girly time is the best!

Ouch! That’s a hefty bill to “spring” upon you, Rat2. Not the same…but we just had to pay our school taxes $4500, yeesh!!

Couldn’t sleep. Maybe too many carbs :(
It is supposed to be in the 60s today and tomorrow. We have to finish the outside stuff. Hope everyone has a great day!
    Good morning Sara
    School taxes?! 4500.00!!

Our high was supposed to be 60 today but it’s 61 right now so I’m not sure how that’s going to work out  Supposed to rain too but I’ll believe it when I see it:rolleyes:

How long is your friend camping for Rat2? Why are you reluctant to go?

That’s NY for you  We get a school tax bill every year as well as as a county tax bill. That’s about half of the school one. And when your kids are no longer in school you still have to pay those outrageous taxes

Hope you do get that rain. Currently 47.

That’s awful! No way we could afford that :(

We got quite a bit of rain this morning, I’ve been sleeping this afternoon but it’s not raining right now.

Yeah NY is pretty awful. Except for the weather. As much as I hate snow I’m glad to not have the extreme weather.

Pumpkins are done. Kiddo’s is on the left, he is getting so much better at it. Sorry if it’s huge.

I don’t know about your weather, your snow falls seem pretty extreme to me

I think I've told y'all about my knee giving me trouble. For some reason now when I drive, pushing on the gas and brake makes it hurt worse. It is only an hour away from where they park the camper but I just did not think I could make it this time. I am sure she will invite me again.

Me neither but I've eaten my share of pies! heehee I actually like sweet potatoes pies more but I'll eat either if you bring the coolwhip.

I was busy again yesterday but I finished one closet. I am not sure what I will end up doing with all of dad's coats and I still have a closet full of mom's. I am pretty set for the winter if I need warmth. I should put some of the in the back of the car and start giving them out to people that look chilly. It would only be the big and tall men and tiny small women though. heehee

My mom had a duck fetish evidently and collected quite a few. Cindy (the girl that came over the other day) took 4 bags full of them home with her the other day. They have several ponds on their property so she must like ducks too. I even gave her mom's duck back scratcher. I have been using it for 7 years and I swear my back did not start itching until I gave it away. heehee I've been rubbing against every door frame in the house. I know what I'll get on my next trip to the $ store.

I think I just need to invite more people over and tell them the rule of the house is they have to take a bag full of stuff with them when they leave. heehee I have the wood, brass, basket, cast iron, clothes for men and women, blankets, candle holders, electronics, CD's, books, kitchen, elderly help, shoes, and dit dats and dust collectors sections to pick from.

Not sure what I will do today. My cousin invited me to go out to eat but I told her I would have to let her know. I used my free night to eat what I want the other night. That Chinese was so good. She told me I could just eat a salad but I have no willpower when I go out. I know I can't be trusted. I'll see how I feel later. When I told dad I did not feel like going out with the family, he would get so upset that I would just go so he would stop being snarky and pouting. It is so wonderful to have the choice now.

Well, that's enough of my therapeutic rant. heehee My coffee has disappeared and it is time to get started on something. Thanks for the wonderful breakfast dale. The perfect way to start my day.

    Good morning Rat2

I’m sorry to hear that about your knees but yeah that would make camping more uncomfortable than it would be worth :(

Sounds like you need to have an open house yard sale. You could make some extra change and get rid of a bunch of stuff .... I’ve found it’s easier to sale something than it is to give it away sometimes .

I have some stuff that I should sell that may be worth something but I get more joy out of giving it away. I sure have a lot of joy sitting in my living room and dining room.

    Good morning Dale and Rat2:wub:

Thank you, Dale :) I have carved pumpkins every year since I was a kid. Continued the tradition with kiddo and hopefully he does too. If he has a family. The hard part is finding inspiration. We used to buy the kits but the stencils were always the same. So i saved all the tools and we look online for inspiration. Thank you for breakfast and quotes I sure woke up hungry. ;)

That sounds like the perfect plan, Rat2. Invite people over and have them take whatever they like. Sounds like a win win!! I’m sorry your knee is bothering you.

Baked mac and cheese for dinner, not healthy but I am excited. Have a great day everyone.

    In your nightmares
Good morning Sara, Dale, R2 and lurkers

2 days off really went by quick, go back to work today. New fridge came friday we started to transfer things into it after it was cold enough. Paid the guys to put the fridge I had in the garage down to the basement.

School taxes here are high also but lower than NYS, about $3000 a yr my total taxes are $6000 a yr. Sometimes I wish I did not buy this place especially at my age lol

Hope you all have a great sunday :)

Good afternoon Joey  Always lovely to see you here.

I can’t imagine starting over with house payments, so very very thankful our home and vehicles are paid for.

Bet your weekend did fly by, always too short when you’re working. :(

Yeah sure you were lazy ;)

Sounded to me like you preferred mac and cheese over anything grilled. I made homemade chicken noodle soup for our supper.

Yum! We have a whole chicken in the freezer. Need to get it out and make some soup also!

Actually kiddo wanted m&c. I made enough to take some for lunches this week. Tried something new…instead of just sharp cheddar, I added parmesan. It was really good.

Time for some tv. Sweet dreams
