Probably a new trend, you’ve had a lot of stress removed.
Yay for all the new positive changes! I woke up once last night and it was a little challenging to get back to sleep, but I didn't get up or give up and finally drifted back off. Slept til 7:30.

Because I am such a cutup and always try to find humor where I can find it, I am not sure anyone knew exactly how much stress I was experiencing. For some reason, I think you knew but it is not a joke when I say that I could not have done it for one more day.

It was sort of hazy when I opened the drapes this morning but the leaves are gorgeous this year. Or maybe I am just noticing them for the first time in a very long time.

On my outing the other night, I sent a picture of me in my outfit that I talked to Cindy about. Of course, she had to say it was a good picture (even though I know I am not photogenic) but because the shirt had fall colors in it she wanted me to go outside and take a picture in front of some of the colorful leaves. I bet neighbors thought I was weird but I'm glad I did it because it turned out pretty good and it was nice to see myself looking happy.

Here is the outfit and the 3 pairs of shoes I got to go with it. I ended up wearing the dotted brown ones because they looked the dressiest but with jeans, the middle paid matches perfectly. The other pair was 80% off so I got them just for the heck of it. The box says gray but the little group I was talking with (I talk to everyone) agreed with me that they looked green. heehee I didn't care what color they were at 80% off. 20221102_123339.jpg

Well, that is today's short story y'all had to endure. heehee Happy Friday to you all. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Evidently, Jay's cousin likes to spend time with me more than he does. heehee Terry called today and asked if I would go with him to a couple of furniture stores because he was looking for a new couch for his place at the coast. I was not doing anything other than sorting through dad's 250+ collection of baseball caps. OMgosh, I have two garbage bags full of caps. I kept several that I would wear but I'm not attached to those hats. heehee

Oh well, had a nice time looking at two furniture stores. I could not believe the price tag on furniture. Sheesh! I am so glad that I want to get rid of stuff and not buy stuff. I think he was glad that I went with him. He liked a couple but I pointed out things that I did not find comfortable on them. Little things like the armrest were too low or the back was just a little too far angled back. He agreed with me. I found one that would look awesome in a beachy room. He did not buy it but I think he may go back and get it if he does not find anything else.

Then he said he had been wanting some chicken and wanted to know if I wanted to go to Popeye's. I went there many years ago and did not particularly like it but today it was hot out of the fryer and was pretty darn good. I told him since we were just "friends" I would love to buy his supper this time. He is o'l school and refused. I did not want to but I let him buy my supper again.

Then he took me to a gun store where he knew the owner. They were so nice. I talked to them about getting my concealed carry and they have a class on December 1st. That is on my list of things I want to do, so I think I will sign up. I do not mind taking the 8-hour class but I dislike taking tests. It must not be too difficult because the man told

I absolutely love taking off with a friend at a moment's notice and getting out of the house. Freedom feels awfully good!

Tomorrow's excitement is giving 2 pints of blood. They better not cancel at the last minute like they did last time. I did send in a complaint and a very nice woman from Florida called me and apologized for my experience. As I told her, I understood why they had to cancel. What I did not understand was why they did not send me an email like they do all the time asking for a blood donation.

Another short story. Sorry, I just seem to have so much to say. I can't help it.

    Hi Rat2
I can only speak for myself but I truly enjoy reading your posts.

Why is Terry in the friend zone?

Why is Terry in the friend zone?
I have just known him for so long, I guess. I think for right now, everyone I see should be in the friend zone since I am new to all this dating stuff and really don't understand very much. Jay hurt my feelings so I guess I'm making sure I don't let anyone make me feel sad. I refuse to allow it! heehee

He is awfully fun to do things with but he is 16 years older than me. He is in excellent health and does not take any medications though. heehee I would love to go see his coastal place. He says it is on the water and close to the ocean. Not exactly sure what he means. I have never seen someone that loves to fish as much as he does. He has a pretty good size boat judging from the pictures. I don't know much about them either but I love being around water.

I am really glad that you do not mind my long posts. It is kinda funny because when things happen to me, y'all are the first ones I think about telling. Looks like it would be my aunt or cousin. heehee I guess you are stuck with me.

Is anything fun planned for your day? I hope so. Not sure what I will do after giving blood. I haven't heard from anyone yet but it wouldn't take me too long to get out that door. heehee

    Good morning ladies

I, too, enjoy your posts very much, Rat2. I think I would keep spending time with Terry. He sounds really nice. I’m glad you had a good time.

We need to get new furniture too. I was looking online at the place we got our current set. Nothing jumped out at me and the prices, as with everything else these days, have jumped up quite a bit.

Tonight we are having dinner with one of kiddo’s soccer friends and his family. Meeting at a Mexican restaurant.

Well, evidently it is not meant for me to save someone's life by giving blood. Last time the blood drive was canceled at the last minute and today, darn it, my iron was not high enough to donate and I got turned down. Now it makes sense why I have been sleeping better this week.

The girls there remember me (imagine that
    Laughing.gif
) so when I left they gave me a really nice gray, plush, and big throw. I did not know what it was until I got home and opened it since they usually give away t-shirts. This was a real treat because you know I love to cuddle up with a book and a blanket.

I am going to make an effort to eat a bit more protein this week and see where the next drive is. I know I will keep trying. I have been donating since I was old enough to give.

I was texting Derek tonight. He is the guy that works at a small engine repair shop. They worked on dad's lawnmower once and then back in the summer my aunt hit a rock and bent her blade and they fixed that for her. He was the one that came after the mower and then delivered it when it was finished. Dad told him I had replaced the six-foot belt on his lawnmower so I think he was impressed with me and asked if I was interested in a part time job. heehee Anyway, he gave me his number and asked me to call it so he would have mine. We have been texting for 5 1/2 months. He has called and asked to stop by the house a couple of times. He is still texting me after seeing what I look like when I mow the yard.

I did not think he was interested because he has not asked me out. He has been texting me more since he knows I am not taking care of dad anymore. Well, the point of the story is, I was telling him about being anemic today and he said I needed to eat a big o'l steak. I told him that my favorite restaurant was Bonbon's and they had a very good steak. He said maybe we could go next weekend. I was so excited that I boldly asked him what was wrong with tomorrow. He said there was a Nascar race. There goes another flag. heehee He should be more enthusiastic. He happens to be six years younger than me. I think I might be starting to understand the whole "cougar" concept. bahahaha

Don't guys ever want to do more than just go eat? I gained 2 lbs. last week dating. I guess eating is probably cheaper than going to a movie or something. I thought men would actually want to impress a woman at the beginning by doing really fun things and then when you started to like them, they would stop. I have no idea how this works yet and it may take some time but I will learn.

Hope everyone has a nice relaxing Sunday.

I don’t care which time they stick with but stop changing it lol
My feet hit the floor at 3:30. grrrr Me neither really on the time change but I will say it is nice to have more light in the evenings so I can get more stuff done. I also know that there is no way to please everyone. Some laws/rules should not be made state by state. It should be across the United States. It just makes sense to me. (btw, this is not me getting political,
    Blush.gif
    )

I did not change the clocks before I went to bed like I usually do. I was tired and went to bed after I started yawning even though it was 11 o'clock. So when I got up I was confused about the grandfather clock that dad always took care of. He told me to keep my hands off of it because I would break it. I was getting ready to google how and it hit me. . .just stop the pendulum for an hour. DUH!
    crazy.gif
Oh well, he was wrong cause I figured it out and it is working fine. heehee
