Hi Dale and Rat2!

I never used to like them but they really are tasty and healthier for you. I cube them, drizzle with olive oil, add a couple turns of the garlic pepper grinder and a dash Penzey’s BBQ of America’s seasoning. The BBQ has cinnamon and nutmeg in it, so it’s on the sweeter side but not too sweet. Roast for 30 min at 450. Think I could eat them every day. Maybe we should try to grow sweet potatoes this year.

Awww, Dale. I hope you have a lovely time.

Rat2, definitely were a busy girl. Slushie was well deserved.

Sweet dreams

I am sitting here yawning. Why don't I just go to bed? Cause I would be back up in a couple of hours. Grrrr

Y'all have me wanting a sweet potato. That sounds scrumptious Sara. I have never fixed them that way. I am from the South, we just have them dripping in butter, and topped with cinnamon sugar. Whew! My mouth is watering.

If you let my prepared sweet potato cool, you can add Coolwhip and you have dessert.

I have done that with my Yams.

    Good morning lurkers

Heavy rains with a couple flashes of lightning woke me. You know what happens when you hear water coming down like that…….had to get out of bed :lol:

Those sound really good too, Rat2.

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Good morning Sara
Lols ! I knew it had that effect on dogs but not humans

 That’s how we have ours but I’ll pass on the cold potato and cool whip ;)

I did go to bed early and just like I figured, woke up at 1 and spent the rest of the night drifting in and out. There are nights when there is just getting comfortable no matter which way you move. This morning I am going to have to make myself go to the gym. I went ahead and got dressed as soon as I got up because I knew if I sat down with my jammies on and started drinking coffee, I would not want to get up.

I love the sound of rain. My roof needs replacing and I tried to get dad to put a metal one on just for that reason. Forty some years ago, I bought a mobile home. I loved it when it rained. Not so much when they were calling for a chance of hurricanes. I never wanted to see my home go mobile. heehee

Isn't it weird? The sound of rain is comforting but the sound of water in those fountains makes my bladder overactive. Weird. Yeah, that's me. Right now we are getting thunder. I like thunder too.

We are just starting pollen season and already my eyes are driving me crazy. It seems like they are itching all the time. Of course, I am sure it is worse the last couple of days from walking in the yard and doing all that work. And the pollen may be heavier this year too. I was walking on the driveway last night and ended up getting out the little battery blower just to get rid of all that pollen. Hey, that might have attributed to my itchy eyes. (smh, mental note)

Oh my gosh, it sounds like I am complaining about everything. Sorry. Gotta get back on the sunny side of the street.

Oh, I hope I don't hear that song in my head all morning. heehee

    Happy Saturday all!

    Good morning ladies

I do not like the rain, unless it’s accompanied with a good light show and loud thunder, the kind you can feel, Dale ;). Probably because we spend a good portion of the year with gray clouds and early sunsets. Well it feels like it to me anyway. I sure do hope they eliminate the clocks changing. I prefer summer hours. ;)

Yup. Hopefully this rain knocks down more pollen. Had to take my contacts out last night, looking like a zombie over here with the crazy red eyes. Definitely am going to need bifocals because I can’t see for crap with the glasses on so I only wear them when I need to see far away.

Ah Sara I’m the same way, can’t see up close anymore with my glasses on. I tried bifocals but couldn’t stand them.

Oh yeah I love those kind of storms!

    Yeah I’m worried I won’t like them either. :(

We had “state fair” sausage sandwiches with peppers/onions and oven baked fries for dinner and homemade peach cobbler over peach ice cream for dessert. Trying to use up stuff in the freezer lol.

I am soo ready to put my feet up, don those glasses and watch some tv. Hope everyone had a great day!

Yum I like peach cobbler too!

    We had fish for supper.

Well I see just fine to read and stuff without glasses, mostly use them for driving anymore.

    Good morning Dale

    Thank you for breakfast!!

Mm peach cobbler is one of my favorites. We still have home canned peaches from when I ordered a case from The Peach Truck, two summers ago.

I used to be able to take my contacts out and wear my glasses all day but now, I’m constantly having to take them off to read things. So I walk around with fuzzy vision ;) It was a good weekend to take a break from the contacts since I didn’t have to leave the house.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!!

    Good evening lurkers

Dale, hope the birthday celebration was good. :)

We had detroit style pizza for dinner. Cold enough outside to run the oven at 500, figured why not. We haven't had it in awhile.

Finished cleaning and getting ready for the week. Yuck! Lol! Dh had bought me some tart cherry juice awhile back to see if that would help with my knee pain. Decided I would try it today. Mixed it with water and it wasn’t bad at all. Don’t know if it’s all in my head but being on my feet all day and it doesn’t hurt. Maybe?

Off to watch some tv before bed. Sweet dreams

OOf! Did I win the Lurking competition? Probably not, but it's been a minute.
So much stuff happening. Silly delivery stories, climbing up ladders against trees to find Geocaches, doing geocaching runs on an E-scooter. (That's a blast, highly recommended, but wear a helmet)

Breaking one of my dogs multiple times on hiking trips ("no more, Daddy. I'm done")

Summer and winter temperatures all in one week, torrential rain and blazing sunshine.

Driving my 30 year old car to work, as there was a need. Then driving it home with the top down, also because there was a need.

Helping a customer I'd weaned off cigarettes.. they'd lost everything in a house fire, including the Voopoo V-thru I'd given them. So... have mine. it's fulla nic salts, that will get you thru. I'm rockin a 16mm Dvarw on an Eleaf i-stick ammit now, and really enjoying it, He's still cig free, and I'm enjoying that even more.

Steak in an air fryer? don't mind if I do. Delicious.

Working out with an OYO , getting my skinny dad bod back into some semblance of respectability..since I received an invitation to one of "those" resorts (clothing optional), I thought it would be appropriate to not resemble a piece of linguini. Where the hell am I going to keep my vape tho? SRSLY... I need solutions! Do they make towels with pockets?

...aaand it's Sunday, first mowing of the year, all of the chores as well as a few projects completed, and a few more to hopefully complete before bedtime.

Much love to all you lurkers, wishing you a lovely week

Party was okay I guess, as usual sat there like a knot on a log while everyone else had a good time  Kalli was sweet enough to be happy to see us tho:)
Have a wonderful evening and a good night

Hi Kelt! Been missing you
Take it easy on those dogs!

That’s wonderful what you are doing for your customer, good on you!

Lols enjoy your upcoming weekend. Have you considered a lanyard?

I had not, but that might be a solution. I should probably just ask the experienced resortees.
Of course, multiple solutions occurred right after I hit "post" ...a fashionable sling or fanny pack, ("bum bag", where I was from). A "murse" , ya know, man-purse (again, a purse across the pond is a wallet over here, and a purse over here is a handbag over there...gah! )
Crude minds might suggest that I keep my vape in my "prison pocket", but where would I keep my trade ciggies ?
Perhaps a pair of "Tactical Crocs" is the answer: Crocs
