Made it to the gym and stop by the lake to take a stroll and get fresh air. It is a beautiful day but a little warm for my liking. Glad I did the mowing yesterday.

Now I am going to fill up my diesel and gas containers. That's going to be fun costly.

Still better than buying groceries. At least I don't have to do it as often.

Hope everyone is having a good afternoon.

Good afternoon Joey, Fran and Rat2

Between storms disrupting the satellite and a dental cleaning appointment this morning I haven’t been online.
    Hoping your weather improves……….fast.

    Good evening lurkers

A little Eddie Rabbit to start the day  Good one, Dale. :) Sorry about the storms and satellite issues. Ours went out this morning. Not sure why, it was sunny.

Fingers crossed you get to go back to work, Joey!! Very happy to hear it’s feeling better.

I dunno, groceries may be cheaper than diesel, these days, Rat2. We are still in the 70s and will hit 81 tomorrow :shock:Dh is annoyed with me, wants to turn the ac on because it got up to 73 in the house. Told him to shed his clothes (not ALL of them ) and sit under the fan.

We had omelets and fruit for dinner. Thank goodness they just left for soccer because I was about to lose my cool. Behaving like siblings over soccer gear. Gonna be one long car ride that’s for sure, but me…..I’m sitting under the fan with my feet up :lol::lol:

Hope everyone had a nice day!

I didn’t mind the storm except for the interference of my book reading
Of course I had other options ;) That’s the one thing I don’t like about kindle unlimited, It requires WiFi.

Sorry the guys are trampling on your nerves, kids and husbands ;)

We had a turkey meatloaf, green beans and cheesy noodles.

Happy Fri-Yay!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!
Good morning and happy Friday to you Sara
It almost feels like I went to bed on Monday night and woke up on Friday

‘’We’re meeting a dog tomorrow to see if he likes us. Not sure how I feel about a Chihuahua. At least he’s a mix and not pure bred. The current owner has several other dogs and the chihuahua doesn’t get along with them.

Filled up the diesel cans and gas cans without Dad for the first time yesterday. Had to just take a moment to myself. It is very normal to have times like that. I still have things happen that make me think of my mother. Funny how memories can either lift you up or bring you down. The $71.04 in fuel brought me down. heehee Enough of that stuff. heehee

I am rather excited about this weekend. It is going to be a Fri-HEY HEY HEY for me. Remember me telling you about the man I met that was very nice to me when I went to listen to a live band? We have been on the phone constantly for the last two weeks. We have an abundant amount of similarities and I like talking to him.

He is from Pennsylvania and owns a home in Florida. He is 57 years old (just 5 1/2 years younger than me) and has driven a big trucker for the last 24 years. He seems to love what he does.

He keeps asking for trips to North Carolina so he can see me again. This weekend he is stuck in Ohio until Monday so last night he called and said he had rented a car and was driving down to see me again. He actually thinks seeing me is worth driving another 1000 miles in one weekend. I would have agreed with 50-100 miles but not that far.

I told him he was crazy and all he does is grin and say he's crazy about me. We have been doing video calls which is pretty cool

I have been as honest as I can be and told him I was not looking for a long-distance relationship and I am just experiencing freedom for the first time and I do not want a relationship with anyone. I just want to be normal (it could happen) and go out and have fun. He says he understands. I tell him he is twitter-pated. I learned that word when I was little from the Bambi movie. I still love to learn new words to this day. I wonder if my fascination started from watching that movie. heehee

Over the weeks we have talked I have told him things I need to do. He thinks he is going to do some of those things for me this weekend. See? That shows he's crazy. I will not let him. Anybody who drives that far for two days just needs to relax and have fun. He want to take me back to the place we met and listen to another band. I am really excited about that. I will never go back to a place like that by myself. Once was enough for me.

I am going to the grocery store this morning. I am going to try to fix him a nice meal tomorrow night. I haven't grilled out steaks over charcoal in many, many years and I am almost as excited about that as I am having a pajama party.

    (maybe a little more) heehee

He sent me a YouTube video of Alabama singing Dixieland Delight yesterday. I have never been with anyone that is sentimental. This could get interesting.

It has been a while since I wrote this much so you will have to bear with me because I am just sharing my excitement with my friends. It is going to be a great weekend. YAY!

    In your nightmares
I have a few spots in my backyard I want to rip out. Since I have no help I have no need for flower patches that need to be weeded constantly. Waiting for a friend to call me that does that kind of work. Hopefully he will be reasonable price wise.
