I needed to keep real busy yesterday so I burned two huge brush piles down at my aunt. It was a wonderful day to do it and worked out well because today we have hard rains and thunderstorms. They are calling for that all week. Yuck. I guess we need it though.

Not sure what possessed me to buy white cheddar crackers at Aldi's this morning. I say I have been going in there to see how hard it is raining but the truth is. . . I keep grabbing a handful of those crackers. View attachment 997216

Hope everyone is having a great day.
    Hi Rat2
Sounds like that worked out just great for you although I know you’re not as much of a fan of rain as I am :)

    Hiya Dale

So far it is doing good  How are you doing?
    I’m doing okay Joey :)

We had spaghetti tonight, been a long time since I made it. Got enough sauce for two more meals .

It's funny. We spend all winter whining about the cold and how we wish summer would hurry up and get here. Then as soon as summer hits, we whine about the heat and wish winter would hurry up and get here.

I just saw the cutest thing I’ve seen in ages. It was comfortable sitting out after a big black cloud blocked the sun.
I was just sitting out and thinking that it was odd I didn’t see any birds. Just then a robin came walking along, stopped at the bottom of my steps and sang me a little bird song, then went on it’s way. That was just so cool.

    Good evening lurkers

As much as I prefer the warm weather, I’ll keep my 80.

Although I feel bad for kiddo even at that temp. Soccer game tonight, this one is “away” even though it’s in our town and starts 6:45. It’s going to be a hot one for him.

Awww I love hearing about the robin singing you a song, Fran. All your birds must be hanging out in NY. We have a lot more of their “gifts” on the patio/cars this year. More than usual.

Have a great night everyone

Yes, I thought that was so neat. We had hardly any birds out today and they are usually all over the grass,

Well, I finally got the medallion stamps I needed on two forms I received from the lawyer. IMO, my lawyer has been dragging their feet on Dad's estate, but today she instructed me to mail this form "overnight". Sheesh! I went to the UPS store to get my signature notarized because my bank's notary was not going to be in all week. I could have driven to the other side of town to get it free but decided since it was raining, I would just pay $10 at the UPS Store. I checked on sending it there overnight and it was going to cost me $54. I went to the post office and they did it for $28.75. That was much better. I guess. It is the first time I have ever sent anything that way. Not sure what the rush is all of a sudden.

The rain does not make me feel nearly as bad as it used to. Thank goodness. I think the 70 lb weight loss helped my joints. It is bearable now. I even made myself go to the gym and had a very good workout. I did not walk as far or as fast but at least I was able to go.

Because the cyst was growing so fast, they did the surgery on Dan's dog today, instead of Friday. He was so upset over that little dog this morning. I think I calmed him down or at least I tried. I was relieved when he called and said Tucker came through just fine. They are going to keep him there because he has to be on antibiotics but should get to go home in a couple of days. Those are our babies so I understand how he felt. It makes me miss my two dogs that gave me such joy. Maybe one day I will settle down and get another one.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    Good evening lurkers

Soccer isn’t going well this year. They were in the top 2 of their division last year, so the league moved them up to a harder one and well these teams play better. Challenges are good but the boys are feeling a bit defeated and it shows. I told kiddo to just do his best and play the game he loves. It’s all you can do.

Homemade pizzas on flat out crusts with homegrown salad for dinner. I’m whooped. Thank goodness tomorrow is my Friday :thumb: Hope you all have a wonderful day!

    Hi Sara
I’m sorry to hear that the game has been making the boys feel that way :(. Sports should be fun.

    We had Chinese takeout.

    Have a good night

Bless their hearts. That must be difficult for them. It's tough being a kid sometimes. Neither of my children where interested in sports. I would have loved watching them and cheering them on. I bet you enjoy it too.

I just fixed a quick chicken sandwich on a skinny wheat flatbread. It was pretty good. Stuffed down two boiled eggs too. It's good protein. I was just too hungry and tired to cook anything.

I worked in the attic for 8 1/2 hours today. OMgosh, it is so overwhelming. I accomplished right much and I have 5 black lawn bags full to get rid of tomorrow. I sure am glad that the people on my street have very little garbage. I just go down the street and fill theirs up. (I did ask first)

It is going to take some time but I will eventually get it done. Found a couple of cool things today. Some 1926 oil bottles. I might have to keep the cast iron skillet. I do not have one that has a lid.

Dan's little dog is doing very well. I hope he gets to go home soon. It is possible that Dan will be driving close to me tomorrow so I may go spend the night with him in his truck. Everything is up in the air and his company changes their minds quite often so I will not get my hopes up. But if it can happen, I'm getting pretty darn good at the gps'ing myself around those highways.

Hope everyone has a great Fri-Yay eve.
