    Good morning lurkers

Well…..they were cooked and tasted good, who doesn’t love potatoes? However the only real crispy parts were the stuck on bits that I had to scrape off the pan……and there were a lot of bits….every time I tried to move them around, they stuck. I had plenty of butter and olive oil in there but these pans run hot. I’ve never made them before and I assumed *wrong* that with all the fat, we’d be ok.:laugh:

Uggg….the only good thing about Sunday are your breakfasts and quotes, Dale  But…5 days and then I’m off for 5 so, bring it!

Yep, the recipe called for 3 russet potatoes and 3 tablespoons of butter. I doubled the recipe and added olive oil.

Woot!! Lots to celebrate this coming week. Dh turns 50 and we celebrate our 18th anniversary.
    Weird :?:

Aw congratulations to you both :)

What day is DH’s birthday? Mines the 17 th but I’ll be 63 and not celebrating

15th, and you should definitely be celebrating!! Happy early birthday!!

Lol! Everything’s better with butter, Dale ;) Course it’s not healthy but very tasty.

I pan fry my italian sausages in butter too, with olive oil. That’s what’s for dinner tonight. Mom and Dad are coming.

Hey all. I have been busy. I had an absolutely fantastic weekend. I ended up not seeing him Friday night since he had to work but he did take me out Saturday.

I have never been downtown at night and I had no idea there was so much activity. I am pretty sure I would not want to go down there alone but it was fun. Lots of people. That is where we ate too.

Sunday he got me to eat breakfast. I had a delicious waffle. I can't remember the last time I ate breakfast. Then we went to hear a band at a bar in a closeby city. First time I have been on his motorcycle. My cousin had given me a helmet but it wobbled. I am going to have to buy myself a size small.
Let me tell you at first I was holding on pretty darn tight. He does not have a seat for a passenger so I was sitting on the fender which by the way is HARD! heehee

There is no backrest so I was a little concerned but it was not nearly as bad as I thought it might be. One thing about it, you could hear us. It is an extremely loud cycle which is okay with me.

Got the yard done today since I am leaving tomorrow. I swear, I am getting pretty darn good. My lines looked awesome.

I still have to pack and I am not sure how much to take. I seem to have a tendency to overpack. I will be gone for 5 night and I am really looking forward to it. I am packin' and taking enough money just in case but I have a good feeling.

I will try to use my phone to post a little while I am gone but I have never had much luck with it. I miss Tapatalk.

Too excited to sleep. I feel like a little kid and I'm already thinking, "Are we there yet?" heehee

This is just very exciting for someone that has never done much.

I have everything laid out so now I am going to try to only pack half of it. And I know I will end up forgetting something. Isn't that normal? I wish I did not over think things so much. I need to work on that.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'm already missin' y'all.

However…..I don’t like the idea of you sitting on the fender of the bike :( with a wobbly helmet to boot!
    I concur!

The old me would have never ridden that way. The new me says what the heck, go for it. Sunday night my friend sent me a text because there was a motorcycle accident in front of her land. I am a firm believer in listening to "signs". I think maybe that was telling me something.

I have never been in a motorcycle accident but my son was. It was close to our house. That is awful to see your son (or anyone) on a gurney in a neck brace. It was funny though because I beat the ambulance to the hospital. He was extremely lucky and just had road rash. The nurse was pregnant and was getting a little queazy so I finished picking it out for her. She was quite grateful. She said I did an excellent job.

Good morning Rat2 and Sara
Thank you for the birthday wishes Rat2 :) You have a wonderful trip and be safe. Don’t forget to take your mad money, never know when you’ll need it. Back in the day that was a dime for a phone call home now days I haven’t a clue  Enough for a bus ticket maybe?
