Good morning Dale and Fran

I am routinely on kiddo’s :censored: list. But I’m also finding it harder to get him to listen to me. I think he thinks he’s one of us, guessing that is because he has no siblings.:?:

Lots to do today! Hope you all have a great day!
    Good morning Sara
Well that’s okay, just means you’re doing your job ;)

Yeah I’ve got dishes and laundry needing done.

Good morning Dale and lurkers

Thank you for breakfast and wise reminders.

Hope everyone has a lovely day! We are meeting my parents for breakfast and then stopping to pick up a few groceries.
    Good morning Sara
Have a nice visit with your parents and don’t spend too much at the store ;)

I did not want to come home but it is good to be back here. I missed all of y'all.

Yes, I had a wonderful time and what I saw of Tennessee was beautiful. I hope to see more next trip. I am 99.9% sure he will ask me to accompany him again. Especially since he was disappointed that I did not meet his family.

The man sure has a lot of friends. He took me to 2 bars and several restaurants and they all called him by name and was surprised he had a girl with him. I think he is telling me the truth about he has been alone for a while.

We stayed where he parks his camper. The sweetest older couple and they had a magnificent place. Fifteen acres on the Duck River. We stayed in a two-story house that was called The Diner of the Duck. They had an apartment fixed up like a 50's diner. It even had a jukebox and a milkshake machine. I think they rent it out from time to time.

They had a cat named Fluffy and a guinea that followed her around everywhere she went. It was so cute. The cat liked me a lot but the bird only got a few feet away.

Mr and Mrs Rochelle, treated Ken like he was their son. Ken does a lot of stuff to help them out. I think he was surprised that I wanted to help him and worked as hard as he did. He put me on a huge tractor and I mowed a big field. Then I weeded around their house. I am a mad woman with a weedeater.

He said, "Woman, you are amazing." He has no idea what all my dad had me do. He ain't seen nuttin' yet. heehee

He has a motorcycle here and up there. It takes a real man to drive a pink motorcycle. It was the color that I would probably have if I had one. This one at least had a seat but let me tell you there was not much cushion to it. I went on my first charity motorcycle ride Saturday. I have never ridden that far on a motorcycle and especially one that vibrated as strongly. I am not sure how long it is going to take to get feeling back down there. It has been numb for two days now.

StinkiePinkie.jpg That bikes name is Stinkie Pinkie. That is what he and all his friends called it.

He took me through Nashville and wanted me to be able to walk around on Broadway. The parking deck wanted $45 dollars and there is no way I wanted him to waste that much so I told him no. He did ride around and pointed out things to me and it was just as good (if not better) than walking around. He was quite the little tour guide. Knew trivia and history on all the places we went.

I really had a nice time and there were so many 1st for me. I love 1st times. I feel even better about him after meeting his friends. They all told me what a heck of a guy he was. I just think I have read too many biker books and he is sort of a fantasy man. heehee I know one thing. Everywhere we went, everyone knew I was with him. He was quite touchy. I liked it a lot.

Well, that was my Tennessee adventure and I am ready for the next one. heehee I need to hit the gym because I ate good but I can rid myself of those 3 pounds in no time at all. It was worth it.

Happy Monday (if there is such a thing) heehee. Have a great day.

    Good morning lurkers:)

Ha, easier said than done these days, Dale. I’ve only recently started shopping again with Dh and the sticker shock is real.

I’m sorry for your temps. Sure wish we could take 20 degrees or so off your hands lol.

    Sweet dreams, Dale
I’m sorry for our temps too

I haven’t officially been grocery shopping in over a month; DH picks up simple things we need and I order some things in bulk online. However I am aware of how awful prices are and am so very grateful to the food bank people for giving us so much food.

    Hiya everyone

Temp hit 92 here, inside the plant is a feels like 110 with 150% humidity    Next few days there will be no break in temps, I don’t mind the temp so much I just don’t like the temp inside the plant.
Joey! That sounds terribly dangerous, don’t people collapse in those conditions? :(

Good morning Joey, Rat2 and Dale

Ooof Joey, those inside temps are no joke. Stay hydrated!

Happy that you are home safe and that you had a wonderful time, Rat2! Refresh my memory….he is in NC for work and lives in TN?

I’m so glad you have access to the food bank, Dale. I probably will stop going once the farm stands close for the season. I like to see all the fresh produce and try new things. We usually stop there before going to the grocery store.

Car dropped off at the garage for an inspection and I’ve started some laundry. School soccer tryouts start today. First game is next week already  Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Are you off this week? I’m thinking you are

I’ve become more adventurous in trying new food in my older years, most I still don’t care for but there have been a few pleasant surprises :)

    Hiya, Dale

Half the week. I go back Thursday….maybe….just kidding.

Lol! So far I have tried apricots (didn’t care for) and nectarines (I will get those again).

Hope your day was good. :)
    Hi Sara
Well at least it will be a short week ;). Yeah a nectarine is basically a hairless peach

‘’My day was fine, nothing out of the ordinary.

All I wanted to do was relax and rest up from my adventure yesterday but NO I worked my backside off. A huge tree limb from my neighbor's woods fell over my fence. Guess who used a chainsaw without a trip to the emergency room?
    1laugh.gif

Drug all the heavy branches to my aunt's brush pile which is NOT close by. I do that so I do not have to make so many trips. See? Sometimes I am smarter than I look. heehee I have another little brush pile to burn. Now I just have the biggest part of the limb that is caught on a tree. I can't saw it in pieces without probably hurting myself. If I tie a rope to it, it is going to fall on the chain link fence so I have not decided the best course of action. My newest "friend" told me he would come over and take care of it. I am not always smart because I told if I could not get it down, I would let him know. Why am I so stubborn that I think I have to do everything by myself? Wanna know why? Because that is the way it has always been for me.
    RatYes.gif

As if that was not enough for the day, since I was already sweaty and scratched up, I decided to do the trim work around the house, under a tower, and down the street outside the fence. It worked out good because my push mower is set really low so when I mow the end of the week, it should be about right. There is always a method to my madness or maybe just a madness to my method.
