    Good evening Dale

I think we still have a bowl of chili from last winter in the freezer

Effects of the full moon past or future in full force today. Yeesh! Glad it’s over.

Making a concoction of bow tie pasta, leftover italian sausage, mushrooms and roasted cherry tomatoes for dinner. Going to add bit of heavy cream and parm cheese to the sauce before I mix it with the pasta. We love it without the sausage, so it should be good.

Hope you had a good day!
    Good evening Sara

A bowl?! That wouldn’t work here

We had sweet and sour chicken with cauliflower and asparagus served over noodles.

    Morning all.

My aunt got a cat from her daughter's friend last December. Cute and sweet older cat. Tiny. Just 4 lbs. It has always sneezed a lot but never appeared to be sick. Ate good and acted right.

Her grandson talked her into taking it to the vet who gave it a antibiotic shot that was going to last 14 days. For whatever reason, the cat got sick after the shot and stopped eating and passed away. My aunt was so upset.

It passed away on the same day my dad did. I went down there to see how she was doing. I was so mad. Neither of her daughters had come over there. She still had the cat in the garage. So you know what I did. I dug a hole, said some nice words and moved some huge rocks to cover it. My aunt was so sweet and loved the little rock monument I created. I actually did that so nothing would dig it up but it did look rather nice.

When I got home Ken hugged me and said I should have called him so he could have dug the hole for her. I thought that was pretty sweet. I am just not used to having anyone around that will help me. or who wants to help me. That is going to take a little getting used to for me. I have always just handled everything the best I could all by myself. It is pretty nice though.

Sorry. Enough sad for now. Like always. . . it is what it is. I have no plans for today. Ken said the grass was already needing to be mowed. It has grown a lot from the rain. I think he just likes driving my mower.

Must be a man thing. I will not ask him to but if he wants to this o'l girl is going to let him. My new goal is to let people help when they want to.

Middle of the week. Gonna be the weekend in no time at all. Hope everyone has a great day.

It is morning. I see I am not the only one that is not sleeping. Grrrr But the coffee is pretty good this morning so there is that.

Ever since I borrowed my friend's pressure washer and gave it back, I have found more things that I could use one on. I started looking at Sam's and Costco first and found out how expensive they can be. Whew!

So yesterday, Ken suggested we look at a pawn shop. I have been in one a long time ago because a retired policeman ran it but I have not really been in them too much. We went to a couple of them yesterday and believe it or not, I did find one that looked almost brand new. It was still $200 but much cheaper than the ones we saw a Lowes and Home Depot. I did not buy it yesterday but I think I might go back today maybe. I don't know.

Went to a nice bar/billiard/restaurant for a snack of chili fries. Boy, I have not been eating very healthy the last few weeks. I need to get back to eating my way. I have gained 5 lbs. I am not going to get too upset over it but I need to tell Ken he is welcome to eat whatever but I am going to try to go back to eating the way I have been.

I would try to go back to sleep but I know I couldn't. So I am just going to enjoy another cup of coffee and do my jigsaw puzzle like I used to do every morning.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Have you checked out that particular brand/model to see what they go for in stores?
I checked at Sam's and Costco first. Then we went to Home Depot and Lowes. That is a good price on the one we saw. I know it is something I could live without but it could come in handy too. I guess I am trying to justify the purchase.

Ken's dad called him yesterday. They talk frequently. I guess he must have liked me because he asked Ken if he could talk to me too.

He is 89 and very sweet. I didn't mind talking to him. He said he could wait until we come back for a visit. He really wants Ken to re-install that Sunsetter awning on his daughter's deck. Ken took it down last time we were there because she was having a new roof put on. Ken said we would go visit again in October. Hope it is pretty weather because he wants to take the motorcycle. It will be a beautiful ride through the mountains and I am looking forward to it. The bike definitely gets better gas mileage than my Honda.

    Good evening Dale

I’m sorry you aren’t sleeping well. :( Refrigerator dinners are the best!

We had roast beef sandwiches and I made the home fries again with the last of our homegrown potatoes. They didn’t stick this time so I must’ve done something right or different lol.

Rat2, how sweet his dad wanted to speak with you. I hope you have good weather for the trip! Go on and get it girl! If you haven’t already….the power washer that is!!

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday. Payday too!! Woot!! Ooohh I forgot gotta get up early Saturday for bloodwork. Bummer.
