Hoping to see dad sometime this week, he finally agreed to accept help from hospice. I know Mary has to be relieved. I don’t think he has much longer with us. Mary says he may not know who we are but I want to visit anyway.

Hey there. I made it to the gym 3 days in a row but the rain is messing with me so I am not sure I will go today. We'll just have to see. I know 17 lbs makes a big difference in clothes because most of my workout clothes are SNUG. Hopefully, by summer I will be back down so my old clothes will fit. Fingers crossed here.
Yesterday I had a bit of "retail therapy" to do. I have not done that in so long. It seems like I have just been running the household and paying bills. (other than those 2 pair of $8 boots when I was looking for Ken a birthday gift, which I never did get) After the gym today, I decided to go to the thrift store and I had a wonderful time. ]
I bought 8 shirts, a leather pocketbook, 2 greeting cards, 2 pillows for the couch, and a leather coat. I could not turn it down because it was only $14.99. You may not believe this but it is the first leather coat I have ever owned. All the shirts were 25 and 75% off. I love a good deal. Two of the shirts still had the Kohl's price tag on them. I love thrift store.
I also went to the Dollar Tree and ended up spending $34. I have never spent that much in a $ store. It was not all mine, I bought the woman's behind me. It makes me feel good to do that. Of course, she did not have a cart full. I'm generous, not crazy.
It is like a heat wave through here. Een not it is 62 degrees. Weird. I just wish there was not so much rain in the forecast. We have a cold wave coming and the high will be 43. I hate drastic weather changes. Grrrr
We had Chinese tonight. Just the frozen bag of General Tso with veggies. It had a bit of a kick to it. I added fried rice and a salad. Pretty good.

Used the last jar of beef stew, that we canned, for dinner. I made mashed potatoes to go with it. Hope Dh doesn't want to can that ever again, I did not like the taste of the actual beef chunks. I'm not even sure how you could improve the flavor of it.
I'm heading up to watch some tv and get to bed early.

We drove to Arkadelphia and saw dad and also my best friend and her husband.
‘Supper was Mexican at a restaurant we stopped at on the way home. Sorry your beef stew was a disappointment

I know you must be happy that it’s Friday evening I had leftover pizza myself. DH and Bela are gone to the church for game night.
Made it to the gym again. Ken says he is getting jealous of Jim (play on words). He's goofy.
It was an unseasonably warm day. I think it was 72. We took a motorcycle ride but I had to take off my leather jacket because it was too warm. It was cloudy early in the day but the sun was hot when it came out. Did not stay long and got cloudy again. That is okay. The ride was nice.
It was bound to happen but Ken dropped my bike today. We were in a parking lot getting ready to look at motorhomes and he was turning around. It was a small hill but when 1100 lbs starts to go, there is not much you can do. Everyone I know has dropped theirs. Ken apologized and he felt so bad. I just made a joke about it was my fault because I had gained weight. He did not see the humor but the bike was not hurt too bad. A scuff on the saddlebag and my knee. Both were not too bad so I am not going to make a big deal out of it. Doo happens.
I have only been in a couple of campers and know very little about them. You would not believe how nice they are. I was impressed. Ken's camper is a 5th wheel. These were the big ones you drive. Ken, not me. I am just looking at them for fun (I think). Although they are nice and I could live in one. I would love to travel and see things but that is only a dream. I don't expect it to happen but then again, I never thought I'd make 6 trips to TN.
So glad you got to visit your dad and friends. Big hug to you. And Sara, I'm glad it is the weekend just for you.

Quick trips this morning and minimal spent. Eating out of the freezer/cupboards has been successful in savings. Kiddo wasn’t too thrilled a couple times but he ate whatever was put in front of him.
Working on laundry and cleaning out the laundry room. Time to get rid of some stuff.
