That’s for sure, Dale.

Quick trips this morning and minimal spent. Eating out of the freezer/cupboards has been successful in savings. Kiddo wasn’t too thrilled a couple times but he ate whatever was put in front of him.

Working on laundry and cleaning out the laundry room. Time to get rid of some stuff.

What kid hasn’t been dissatisfied with home meals at times

I should be doing laundry but I’m not. Also have clothes that should be gotten rid of but I have to be in a certain mood to do so.

Gloomy here, was raining this morning but it’s stopped.

haha, good point! I made Cheesy Italian Farro bake for dinner and added cubed chicken to it. Everyone loved it and the farro is healthier than pasta, so win win. Next time we'll have chicken on the side and add broccoli to the bake. Course cheese makes everything taste better

Well, I'm going to watch a movie. Sweet dreams when you go.

A wonderful day if you are a duck.

Because of the weather, I could not do all the machines at the gym today but I gave myself credit for the effort. Came back home and put my jammies back on.

I had one piece of meatloaf left in the freezer so that was supper along with homemade smashed tatars, green beans, salad, deviled eggs, and cheesy toast. It was pretty tasty.

We watched a couple of movies tonight. When this one is over, I am going to bed, and not a moment too soon. Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep.

Hot one day. Cold the next. This is crazy weather.

It was kind of a low-key day around here. I did go to the gym and then to Aldi's. Ken said he would grill out some steaks. I could not believe the cost of ribeyes. Sheesh! But I did not even think about the cost when I was eating because it was so good and perfectly cooked. He did a good job considering he was grilling after dark. He did not want a salad so I just did baked potatoes. Apple strudel for dessert.

The only time today that I have felt like it was Sunday was when I read dale's post (lovely, as always). Seems like my days have been messed up pretty regularly lately.

I am yawning and can't wait for this movie to be over with so I can go to bed. Sleep well everyone and have a great day.

‘Sorry I wasn’t around yesterday, had a visit from the kids in the afternoon and after they left I took a a nap which lasted until 7 p.m.

You must have needed that nap badly. Good for you. I am sure you had a great visit. Did it mess up your night's sleep? I hope not.

I slept a little better last night, thank goodness. I need the rest to prepare for the next rain.

I have no plans for today other than trying to get motivated to go to the gym. I have until 7 tonight to find that motivation.

I did yes, think I might have strep which makes me sleep a lot. I got a few more hours sleep after 11 but it wasn’t good sleep.

I’ve got a ton of laundry to do today as usual. Get your gym stuff done and you’ll feel better I’m sure

I was disappointed that I did not lose any weight last week but I do feel more toned. It does not take long to lose muscle or get it back. All I care about is how my clothes fit.

I do not want to have to buy new clothes. And I still think working out on the machines kept my back from acting up so much. It already feels better/stronger.

I know walking is what helped me so much with being patient with Dad. It probably kept me from going to jail for elder abuse.

I seem to think about him quite often still. Even after 16 months. The bad times still sort of haunt me at times but I am starting to see happier times. I suppose that is normal. Me normal? That sounds funny to me.

I know what you mean about being haunted by the past, I had a bit of a rough childhood myself from physical and mental abuse.

Ham fixed with pineapples and brown sugar, pintos, collards and macaroni balls, which the birds will eat tomorrow because I had Ken throw them out. Never know until you try. I tried. I did not like. It is the first thing I have ever disliked from Aldi's. That's pretty good considering how long I have been shopping there.

Yes, he was and it is a very good movie. I can't believe I have never seen it. I am enjoying it.

I have never fixed a shepherd's pie but it looks good. I might have to try that one day.
