    Good morning Dale

I’m sorry to hear about your friend! I hope his treatment continues to be successful.

We went to Aldi, Walmart and the produce place. Wish we didn’t have to hit 3 different places but it’s the only way to get the lowest prices on what we need. I’m tired of everything being so expensive. We all need a break.

    Have a great day!

I did that when I was younger seeking the best prices, don’t have the energy anymore.

I’m going to the deaf church today :). Have a good one!

aww, Dale. That makes me so happy for you. I hope it was a nice service.

Since I'm shopping again with DH, I started keeping track of what we buy, where and the cost at each place. We pretty much eat the same things, so it's not too bad. I really wanted to know exactly what we pay for groceries and we've definitely cut the bill down. Course it helps that I'm watching what he puts in the car

Turned out to be a beautiful day. Blue skies and upper 70's. Sure wish it wasn't Sunday though.

    I enjoyed it :)

Yeah well DH is probably better than I am about what he picks up, bare necessities  If I want snacks or chips I have to tell him specifically oh and salad mix too!

    It’s sunny and 90 here, I’m not thrilled ;)

Good morning lurkers  Rough restless night.

Hiya Dale, Sara and Lurkers

Grocery shopping has become a joke, I just can’t believe the prices of soda and meat right now.

Where did the weekend go :cry:
    Hey Joey
We don’t currently buy meat or generally soda. The food bank gives us enough meat to get buy on and we only buy a few coke’s for my nausea.
I drink coffee, water and tea ; DH drinks milk and water although I know he buys sodas while out working. Which is a terrible habit as buying singles from convenience stores costs about four times the cost

Good evening Dale and Joey

We only buy Pepsi when it's a good sale and then it's reserved mostly for special occasions. I cannot believe the cost of a 20oz bottle. Still working on the beef from the cow we got awhile ago, thank goodness we did that. Also, still have chicken from the sale around Christmas. I keep my eyes peeled for those kinds of deals. I refuse to buy most name brand things anymore. Eggs are 1.49/dozen from a local commercial farm, milk is 1.35/quart from a smaller local farmer. Love that it comes in glass bottles which we wash and return. Any other dairy/bread/cheaper snacks come from Aldi. Sometimes we buy produce from there, but it's hit or miss, although I do like their 10lb bags of potatoes for $5. Walmart is usually the processed odds and ends like condiments, pretzels, flour tortillas, protein powder. Then we go to the produce place for...you guessed it...produce

Well, I added Friday to my long weekend. Yay!! So, I'll be off Friday through Wednesday. Can't wait.

Hope everyone had a good day. Sorry about those temps, Dale. We were mid to upper 80's here. But there was a nice breeze.

    Good evening :)

I definitely hope to, Dale :) Sunday is our first cookout of the summer, and everyone will be here.

bwahahaha, I just realized my computer has co pilot and will rewrite my posts for me. Here's how AI fixed it: Certainly, Dale! Sunday marks our inaugural cookout of 2024, and we're expecting everyone to join us.

That doesn't sound like me at all.

Hope everyone had a great day!

    Good morning Fran
I believe you did yes, I hope they are much more helpful for you than mine.
Not really at this time. Have to go back to the hearing aid place sometime. My left one can hear loud talking when I turn it up but I can't understand any of it. It's just noise. So mostly useless.
