UPDATE on truck. I took it to Perry's retired friend that works on cars at his house. He took the abs whatever and one of the lines were clogged. He put it back on and I have brakes again and the abs thingy is working just fine.

The more I think about it the madder I get. Not sure yet if I will go have a chat with him or just file a complaint at the BBB. It will not really mean anything to him but I will feel better because I helped let people know just what kind of business practices this place has and the customer service too.

I have been keeping so busy. Been driving back and forth from Perry's. I must say his yard is starting to look pretty darn good. Perry's neighbor came over and told him he needed to keep me.

The best part is Perry appreciates everything I do and that makes me feel good.

After Perry put the new clutch on my mower, it is running splendidly. Since Perry likes to mow, he has taken over at my house and I am going to let him. He said it made him feel better because of how much I had done at his house. I must admit, it is pretty nice. I still have to do the trim work like I did with dad but it is nice to have some help.

After he finished my yard, we went to go do his and he was mowing and stopped to tell me something. His lawnmower backfired and suddenly Perry said where is that smoke coming from. The back of his mower was on fire! I ran and got a bucket of water and we got it put out. I have never seen that happen. He thinks he can salvage his mower because it mainly burned all the plastic stuff around the motor. I hope he can. Lots of weird things happening around me. I wonder if I am a jinx.

    Hi Rat2
You have been busy, glad you haven’t forgotten us ;)

Sounds like you do need to file a complaint against that mechanic to hopefully stop him from preying on people.

Glad you’re enjoying Perry, that must have been scary what happened to his mower

    Good evening all :)

Woke up this morning with a migraine. Took some meds, called in and went back to sleep. It's still there but not as severe.

Yeesh, Rat2. That definitely would have freaked me out. Glad you are enjoying time with Perry.

Too hot to cook, not that I felt like it anyway. Dh grabbed a pizza.

    Have a great night!

‘I’m so sorry to hear you have a migraine:( I had terrible ones from the time I was a kid until I had our daughter, never had another since. Best thing I got from having her

We had McDonald’s for supper, I wanted a greasy burger.

Hope you’re feeling better in the morning

Oh, do I understand how you feel. My father had them when he was young and so did I. Like Dale, I abruptly stopped having them when I had my hysterectomy. It makes you wonder if they are hormonal. Sometimes, if I caught them at the right moment, an ice pack on the back of my neck helped me. Do you have them often? I was lucky, I did not.

Good morning everyone. It was a hot one yesterday. I know it is time for it but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
    1No.gif
I love sunny warm/hot days but not when it is humid and everything gets sticky.

Everyone is kidding me because Perry's father (who complains and talks about everyone) likes me. He invited us to his house for supper and I was quite impressed. It was so hot that I was dreading eating spaghetti but it was really good. He made the meatballs and they were so tasty. He fixed all the fixins. Loved the salad and garlic bread too. He had peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert. Perry did not eat very much but I think it was because it was close to 100 degrees that he worked in for six hours. On top of everything, he is a heavy man and I remember how the heat used to bother me more when I was overweight. Bless his heart. I hate that his boss is trying to save money by not turning it on. He is not there very often so it does not bother him.

Perry has to go pick up something this morning so he asked if I wanted to go with him on the motorcycle. Should be a nice little ride and it is before it get so awfully hot.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    Good evening :)

Sending lots of prayers your way, Dale! I hope all went well with his surgery. haha I'm so glad your migraines went away ;)

Funny thing....not a single migraine ever until my hormones started going haywire these last couple years. Started with the occasional kaleidoscope vision which I learned were ocular migraines. Chalked it up to stress from Covid/Pandemic but then the hot flashes and other oddities started to occur and now sometimes the headaches are bad.

I agree with not wanting to eat heavy when it's so hot. I can't imagine too many people not liking you, Rat2. You are a sweet lady with a HUGE heart :)

    Good evening Sara
Oh that’s unfortunate about your migraines, hopefully they’ll ease back off when you finish menopause.

Unfortunately Ronnie started turning blue during the procedure and they had to stop, might try again in a couple of days. I guess it’s not exactly surgery, they’re trying to run something from his neck to his heart so they can measure the pressure of something so they can decide what to do next.

Good news is he’s still alive.

I told Perry if he ever wanted to go somewhere. . . just let me know when to be packed. Well, tonight he called and we are leaving for the beach tomorrow. YAY! I am so excited. I don't know if I forgot anything or not and I don't care. I'll buy down there if I need something.

I left Perry one side of the bike and I filled the rest.

It is not a real long trip like when Ken and I took the bike to TN but it is a nice 3 1/2 hour trip. I think he might have wanted to take his Harley but my behind is more comfy on mine.

This is only the second time I have been to the beach in 25+ years and I am looking forward to it. Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend. Maybe I will be able to post on my phone. If not, I'll catch a Monday or Tuesday.

Good morning Rat2  and lurk :)

Hope you have an enjoyable ride Rat2. I’m going to the hospital to sit with Elaine while they do heart surgery on Ronnie, prayers would be appreciated.

I just bought 60 3ft gutter panels tired of cleaning the dam things. Going to install them my self on my next days off. Also got a quote to take down 3 trees in my yard from my friend. $2000 and he takes most of the wood with him. Gave me a good price most other companies are charging over $3000.

Oh my! Expensive tree removal
I hope the gutter panels are helpful. We don’t have gutters but I can see where that would be a nasty chore.

    Hiya Dale

Yep the plant is running peas again, hopefully we will be steady running now.

Yes things here are more expensive now. He is a friend so he gave me a better price than he would give someone else.
Wow! Good thing you have that friend.

    Happy Friday, y'all :)

Feeling much better  thank you.

Dale, continued prayers for Ronnie :nun:

Good luck with the install, Joey. So glad your friend will cut you a break on the trees.

    Rat2, enjoy the beach!

Grilled cheeseburgs, asparagus and zucchini/summer squash for dinner. Finally have a day where it didn't hit 90. ooof, I truly feel for you, Dale. I would not want those temps all summer long.

Good evening Sara  Glad you’re feeling better! Thank you for remembering Ronnie , Elaine said he had a good day. Anything had to be better than yesterday!

We had roasted pork loin, bbq beans and corn.
