Good afternoon lurkers

This is definitely one winter for the books, Dale. I don't know that we've had one like this in several years. Hope your ice all disappears. We are supposed to warm up this coming week. Hopefully it doesn't make the driveway worse

We hit the stores (or at least for me) for the first time in 2 weeks  Got all our groceries for the week. Think I'm ready for a nap now. Did a few chores and working on laundry.

Sun is out and it's a balmy 29 degrees. However, the wind is just blowing all that snow around, grrr!

Hope you all are enjoying your Saturday :)

    Good afternoon Sara.
Well the deck still had a lot of ice on it at 3 but we were able to scrape it all off so I’m satisfied.
And our driveway is definitely a mess! Nothing new for us though, it’s just too steep to stay in good repair and asphalt is outrageous expense wise. :(

    Hiya everyone

Our weather is suppose to start warming up Sunday. Should get into the 40's by mid week. My driveway needs to be redone also, I have not tried to get quotes yet to scared too
    Hi Joey.
Yeah if it’s anything like ours you’re in for some sticker shock. :(

    Good evening lurkers

Oooof. It’s been a busy day. I’m happy to report that I’m in my jammies and the electric blanket is warming me up.

Worked my behind off doing all the chores that were neglected the last two weeks. Went out and widened the driveway as much as I could. Snowblower just isn’t operating the way it should. I’m guessing a shear pin is broken. Made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn for dinner. Peach cobbler for dessert. We invited my parents to stay when they dropped kiddo off. Dh took my car through the car wash to hopefully knock loose any snow that was behind the tires causing it to wobble slightly and then my dad and I went for a drive. So happy to report my car is fine and I didn’t do any damage when I got it stuck. Thank goodness.

Driveways definitely are expensive. Glad you’ll be warming up this week too, Joey. I was able to get the ice off the porch too, Dale.

Hope you all had a great day!!

Good evening Sara! I hope you’re feeling better and didn’t set yourself back with all that work. Glad your car is okay.

I just ate some leftover bbq and beans. Sunday night meals are always leftovers or sandwiches eaten when you want it. ;)

    Good evening, Dale

I was feeling pretty good this morning so hopefully it stays that way. It reached 47 degrees today  heatwave lol.

Leftovers and eat when you feel like it are the best kind of dinners!! Tonight was breakfast. We had scrambled eggs with peppers, mushrooms & cheese, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast.

Hope everyone has a lovely evening :)

Hi Sara. I hope you stay well too.

We got into the mid- 60’s today, going to be warmer tomorrow.

’Supper here was stir fry vegetables and chicken with spaghetti noodles and scampi sauce.

    Good evening Dale

Wow! I wish we had 70.
Hi Sara. I wish you did too, I’d trade you in a heartbeat. It’s quite stuffy in the house tonight, 61 outside but 77 in the house, heats been off all day . Not sure what it actually got up to today but it was rather warm for February.

    Good evening:)

The 40 degree temps have been making slight improvements on the driveway. When I got home I got the scraper and shovel and managed to clear from the sidewalk to my car. No joke the ice was 3.5 inches thick. I had to stop when I got to my car no way I could do the whole driveway. I really hate this winter.

I’m sorry it’s stuffy in your house Dale. I remember it goes from decent to unbearable very quickly for you. Neither end of the spectrum is enjoyable that’s for sure.

Frozen pizza and salad for dinner. Off to read. Have a great night everyone:wub:

Good evening Sara. Yeah I have to admit that today was perfect though … weather wise. Got to 71 with a light breeze so very comfortable, lots of sunshine. Clouding up this evening though, that’s coming on a little earlier than previously predicted.

We had Subway sandwiches for supper , I got home from work all stove up, blaming the weather change. Hopefully a good night’s sleep will resolve the issue.

    Have a pleasant evening :)

It has been beautiful weather here too this week (sorry Joey and Sara). I wonder if this is just a tease. That rodent did say we were going to have more bad weather but then again, what does he know?

Perry had his Lexus towed to a mechanic to see what was wrong with it and he had to get new tires for his truck. Always something that everyone has to deal with. That is life.

Now that I have Medicare (YAY!) I need to find a gym to join that is convenience from my house and Perry's. I have got to get back there. My knee is still doing very well but I am not sure it is ready to jump back into the amount of walking I was doing. We will see. I'll stop if it starts bothering me. Going to have to get back into it slowly.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I can't believe it is already Thursday. Sheesh! Not sure where the week went.
