Have I told you guys that we just found out Bela has high cholesterol? I’ve never known a young kid to have that problem. :(
I have never known a child to have it high. I wonder if a child could take Red Yeast Rice? I know it made my cholesterol go down 60 points. I gave it to my dad and had to cut back on his supplement because his got so low. I think it would be something to be concerned over though.

Of course I want him to pass but I'm a little nervous at how much our insurance will go up.
I never thought that was fair. You should not penalize anyone without reason. Yet, they renewed my dad when I had to help him get up to the window. Sheesh!

I did have a nice weekend. We made a small batch of salsa. Only 22 pints. Boy was it a good batch though. We still have some of the stuff to make more so we may make another batch. More chopping but worth it.

We now have both yards mowed and looking good. We went and picked up the Farmall Tractor. I wish dad could have seen it running again. He just put new points and some gas gasket. I did not think there was much wrong with it. We are really too late for a garden this year but Perry says we will next year. He must be planning on sticking around. heehee I'll wait and see. I think they are a lot of work and I am retired.

We were going down the highway and had a blowout on the trailer. Good thing it is a tandem axle trailer. Oh well, a friend of Perry's is going to try to get me a good price on tires. They were pretty old so I might as well replace all four. Only thing left that I would like to do is paint it. It is not a big deal to Perry but it is to me.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good evening lurkers

Yeesh, Dale. Hope you get some rain soon.

I agree, I was pretty upset at how expensive our renewal was. Middle aged, no tickets, no claims, perfect records and I pay more than I did when I was in my 20's  Hopefully we'll get a discount from him taking driver's ed vs just a 5 hour course. We need to redo our insurance reduction courses to save a little also.

Never heard of red yeast rice either, but I'll be sure to tuck that tidbit away in case I ever need it. lol

Yum, salsa. Glad nothing major happened with the blowout, Rat2.

Just finished making a mint chocolate chip ice cream pie for the last of my favorite co workers. She is retiring on Friday and we are doing a pot luck for her tomorow. :( Worked with her for 20 years. Man I can't wait for it to be my turn

Have a great night everyone!

    Good evening Sara.
We’re getting rain tonight, started earlier this afternoon with a tornado watch.

Sounds like you need to do some insurance comparisons, loyalty is not honored in that field.

    Sorry you’re losing a favored co-worker, that’s always a little sad.

    Good night everyone.

Welcome to the new normal. Rates are going up nation wide, companies are dropping clients just for being in a "high risk" area, and many are questioning whether they can afford coverage. I had to drop the coverage on my vehicle to the bare minimum needed to maintain legal coverage. The insurance premiums are beginning to look like car payments!

Good morning Dale and Retired :)

Glad you got the much needed rain, Dale.

Sorry to hear you two are under the weather. I might as well join you ;) Left work early on Thursday with aches and scratchy throat. Stayed home yesterday. Seems like the aches went straight to my sinuses as well.

I guess good old fashioned colds have gone the way of normal insurance rates

I’ve contemplated bare minimum coverage also. As well as increasing the deductibles. Our homeowners is coupled with the auto but the discount just isn’t as attractive as it once was. We just may have to shop around.

Hope we are all feeling better soon.
