Well I did not think you would have been mean to her LOL

Today is daughters 7th birthday we booked a party at the ice rink for her she should have a blast :)
Happy birthday to your little precious Joey :bday:
Have fun but like Lori said, do be careful ;)
    Good morning all.

Dale, hope things go smoothly today. (((Hugs)))
    When do you leave??

Oh Paul, sounds like that was a dreadful trip to the airport.
I get the same way if I go to bed too late too.
Hope you have a relaxing day with DW. :)

Sounds like a fun day ahead Joey. Be careful if you skate...we don't bounce back as easily if we take a spill, and bones break much easier at our age.:2c:

...sorry, I should have grabbed quotes.

The movie we watch last night was good. I don't think it's a new one, it was a Tom Hanks move, Bridge of Spies.
It was like 2.5 hours long, and didn't need to be that long,..but, definitely worth watching.

I also finished the book that I mentioned a few days ago.
"The Fairy Tale Girl" by Susan Branch. I very much enjoyed it. Any of the ladies who are 50 or over here, would prob like it, well, even younger gals would prob like it too, they just might not remember things that she writes about.
She's the cookbook author I mentioned, this book is listed as a "memoir", "graphic novel". The first of a series of three.
Like her cookbooks, all beautifully illustrated by her.
She has a really great blog too. susanbranch.com

Okay, that's about all I've got...need to run and eat, then figure out what to have for dinner. :)
    Good morning Lori
I'm not sure ... DH is not being very cooperative but we need his help  Hopefully by 11 a.m.

    That's good!
A mother to a guy I work with took his kids roller skating...she skated, remembering how fun it was...way back when. Well, I guess she fell, broke her leg, broke her arm, broke a rib that collapsed her lung....wasn't pretty.
...I loved roller skating too. #guessthosedaysareover

    Me too!!
Did you have those pom poms that had a tiny bell inside for your skates??
Haven't thought about that in years!!
The place we went had a neon light, shaped like a crescent moon that they'd light up for the *last skate* of the evening.
They'd turn on a disco ball that threw a whirling cascade of multi-colors on all the walls.
You'd always hope to get asked to "skate in the moonlight" by a cute boy.

Me too. I feel like I need a crowbar to get out of bed some days!

...there is a lot more 'behind me' than my youth !

Yep, even with a little extra "padding" I won't try it.

    Yeah, it really is.
She just thought it would be fun to take the grands roller skating on a boring Sunday afternoon...left on a stretcher in an ambulance. :(

I never bought any on my own, but I got a pair for Christmas from a group of little kids at the rink

    Awwww.

My parents bought me a (cheapie) pair for Christmas one year, but the wheels weren't the right type of composite, so I couldn't use them at the rink. The pom poms were on the ones I used at home...course, they left RED marks on the sidewalk, which sent my dad to the moon, so that was short lived too.
They didn't have the toe brake, so it wasn't as fun as the skates at the rink.

Must have been quite a fall!
I think it was just a normal fall, we just break easier now. She's prob in her mid-50's. ;)

Had a neighbor in California...bought roller blades for herself and daughter.
Down the slope of her driveway, fell and broke both forearms.
    Mess !
    Oh wow. :(

The first one was a 007 movie and the second was a Brad Pitt war movie :)

    Good morning Lurkers :)
    Good morning OBG. :)
