I have the IP in my Amazon shopping cart. Not sure why I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Lol Afraid it will sit in the box and not get used.

I sort of scoffed at the idea (it was really the DH who purchased one since he was the primary cook), but he failed his first attempt as lasagne & was "done with it.!" LOL I joined the Instant Pot Community on FB and am wondering now why I don't own two :D Everything from roast to key lime pie that I've made so far over the past 2yrs.

Wow, that's scary Bobbi! :(
I agree, next year, Chucky Cheese!
No way! We did that one year for Grace's bday. Too many people, too much noise and bad pizza too! Made my momma bear radar and my security concerns both just go crazy!!! I'm a bit OCD about where each of my "people" is, secure position for defense in an emergency, all that sort of thing, just can't do that sort of thing! Bruce and Dave are the same way, the mental strain is horrible!
When the boys were 2 and 4 we lived in Colorado Springs. 2 boys in that age bracket were kidnapped from yards within a 7 block radius of us. When Bruce got out of the military we moved to the country. We never went to town but what the boys had to be in contact with the grocery cart or holding my or Bruce's hand. They were trained in stranger danger long before it became a thing.
It started for me in 2nd grade. Raised in Colorado Springs and the police came to the schools to tell us not to take candy from strangers, only they used a movie of 2 little girls getting kidnapped and later found in a campground type bathroom. I can still remember that movie like I saw it only yesterday. I might also add I cannot use a campground bathroom, it brings on a huge panic attack! Silly I know but it never left me and it made me a fiend about being aware of surroundings and self defense.:(

Like OBG, I will be 60 this year. I have talked to several others who saw that same movie. About 20% of us still remember it vividly and say it still scares the heck out of them. My sister says she only remembers it slightly but she was in 4th grade and may have been more mentally able to deal with the substance. They used the same movie for 2 years and then I never heard of it again... I'm glad they quit using it...

I said something about it at dinner one night and my stepdad almost choked to death, mom just turned red :lol::lol::lol:

Speaking of drills, in the book I just finished, she talked about the WWIII /nuclear war hysteria when she was a kid. Bomb shelters, and drills at school. I don't so much remember that, but I wasn't born until 66.

The movie we watched last night was about a Russian spy. Tom Hanks character was the atty who represented him. It was during the time that the Berlin Wall went up, and the U2 was shot down. It was a good movie.
