One of our *legitimate* property stakes is in the middle of the road. When they put new blacktop on it, they usually dig around it a little so it's not hidden. :facepalm:
The neighbors we bought the disputed part from wouldn't SELL it to the people we bought the house from...they'd been hateful about it, and had taken them to court...long, ugly story...best neighbors we've had so far though. :)
Well, until they moved away, now we've lost touch except for Christmas cards. :(

    I won't go crazy. The ground is pretty soft with all the rain that we had. I dug about 10' of it yesterday evening and the clay is incredibly soft right now, so it's now or never. I wouldn't attempt it if the ground was really dry. That would be like digging through concrete.
