Glad you came through okay today Angel ... celebrate with that Eclair ;)

Oh my Joey!! That sounds awful :(

I love asparagus too but DH won't touch it so I almost never buy any :(

We are expecting rain tonight :?:
I hope we're about done for a few days. We're mushy here like OBG said.
That's too bad he doesn't like it. If you put a fresh cut on it and put it in water, it should hold a long time.
I will put an open zip lock baggie on the top so the tips get some moisture in the fridge too.
Just don't let it get so wet that they mold.
Asparagus will hold longer the way I just described than in the bag....just my personal experience. :)

Aw Joey, that really bites...hope you can get some relief in one way or another...sending healing vibes for you.

Yeah, we love asparagus too...I'm lucky that the bf and his mom both love it, so we have it regularly...it's soooo good!

Having tuna subs for dinner here...that eclair is the perfect dessert for it! :D
Tuna subs sound good too!! :D

Me too that's why I grow it,it's like buying steak at the store nowadays

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You could buy the frozen kind and just steam it for you when you want some :2c:
I used to have a source every spring...I'd come home, and a WM bag full of it would be right there by the front door.
Friends of a friend had bought a farm not far from here that had it. Before they bought it, the people sold it every spring (roadside farm stand).
Was wonderful for about three years, every spring, I'd get a big bag...until they sent a kid over to mow...and, well  :nah: ...he had no clue...and he killed the whole patch.
There was only just a little that ever came back.

You'd best give it a lot of thought Joey, you don't want to be disabled the rest of your life :(

Good night, may you rest well :)

I think I've had it hold (well) for a week. I just use a drinking glass or a glass jar.
We'll eat it in a week, so I can't say if it holds longer than that.
I'd share the BIG bag I used to get because we'd never eat it all.

    Sweet dreams Joey.
Prayers that it all works out.:)

I had some turn into green slime one time
My mom pretty much did too once when I was a kid...not quite slime, but close. I keep an eye on mine.
I had the stems get slippery on me in a bag, (quick)...so I just put them in water now, from the get go.
I learned that from the produce guy at the grocery store. They had them standing in a tub of water, so I asked. He told me how to use the baggie, the store has the produce mister, so that keeps the tips from drying out there.

That's why they put them down there, that way you can feel good about buying the stuff then hide it till you throw it away :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I had a grocery store clerk tell me once that I had the healthiest cart she'd seen.
She even ask where I'd found some of the stuff in the store, and she'd been there for years.
Course, that was back when I was eating super healthy.

I use one of mine just for my little jello snacks and stuff like that :)
I keep Nic in the bottom drawer, DH's smokes (carton or two) in the middle one, along with tortillas, some almond flour, and some flax seed.
Then the top drawer has cheeses, lemons, and/or limes...it's not a deep one though.
