My son tried both and my daughter did the clarinet, now the son plays guitar and has a small collection :)

I was hoping he would pick the sax, so I could tinker with it ;) I played the flute. My grandpa played in a band and we have a couple of his bass guitars.

DD plays the flute, amazed us all ... no one else in either of our families had any kind of musical talent :?:
You sound like my mom, she said the same thing to me tonight. I asked her about going to our concerts. She said she enjoyed the chorus ones but band was a little boring to her because she had no musical talent either.

I don't remember how much we paid, maybe $5. He wanted to play trumpet or trombone next year in band, until I showed him the spit valve. He said um maybe the clarinet.

The oldest son played the clarinet for years in band...then like your son OBG, he discovered the guitar and he has several of them now...even built his own a couple of times...the twins, one played the trombone, and the other was percussion.

When all 3 of them were early teens, they had their own band and performed at local spots around here...oldest on lead guitar, twin 1 on bass, and twin 2 on drums, they recruited a friend to be their singer...they did that for a few years, before twin 2 got tired of it and gave up the drums to dedicate himself to his schooling...he's the one who's about to graduate college next month. The bass player now things he'll be the next great rap star...uh huh, yeah right!...And the oldest plays his guitars for his own enjoyment and for his daughter, who loves it when he plays. :D

That is so bizarre to me, because it's on at 8 here. I know we are an hour apart. 7-8pm are the celeb gossip shows.

I loooooove the sax. We could barely afford the flute when I was young, so the sax was out of the question. Lol

If you need one let me know I have a friend in the pawn Biz :Dhe had a nice looking violin the other day when i was in there :)
