It is time for coffee and watching the news. Hurricanes are not fun. I remember hurricane Alice back in 1983. I was in the hospital in Bryan TX having my second son and even as far as Bryan was from the coast they wouldn't release me from the hospital because of the rain and wind.

Good morning, Dale, KC, OBG, Joey, Chili and anyone else I might have missed. Yes, I'm here! Still have power. Lots of rain overnight, I'm guessing around 8" with lots more coming today. The eye is close to Victoria which is an hour south of me. At least the wind hasn't been so terrible at this point, but today is supposed to be the roughest day. We're under flash flood advisory right now.

Good morning, Fran! We got our internet back already. But the wind has really picked up! And still bands of strong rain. Believe it or not, I still have power and DirectTV is still hanging in there! That usually drops out if a little cloud passes over.

Ordered my yeast for the mead and a few other things,ended up getting Lalvin EC-1118 yeast it's good to about 18% if you feed it the right stuff
