Oh...darn it, I missed the cake this a.m.
Hiya and good evening KC.

Good morning Lurkers :)

A few cans of diced ones is more better and you don't have to cook your soup to death their pre cooked :2c:
Good evening OBG, It was quiet today...usually is anymore.
Are those the new potatoes that you're referring to, the ones in the cans?
My mom used to use those in a pinch to slice and do fried potatoes...course that was before everything under the sun was available in the stores.

I didn't end up getting any potatoes to put in it. It had absorbed a lot of the liquid so I added about a cup and a half of water to it tonight to make it soup again instead of slop.
It was still a bit salty, but better than last night.
DH said he'd finish it tomorrow night. :nun: He's such a good egg!!

Good morning lovely lurkers.

Another cold day here...stay warm everyone and have a good day!
Howdy Angel and good evening. ...same here...cold. :(
Amazing after a week of this, 20 degrees doesn't feel as bad as it did at first...thermals help. :nun:
Do you have scarves?? Those help a lot too! I wear them all winter...have several...all different kinds.
ETA: I'm also not out in it for long either.

Good morning Lori, KC, OBG and Angel

I will have to remember that, OBG. Canned potatoes. Should they be rinsed first?

Our warm up is supposedly coming on Sunday but will be short lived. I'm predicting a snow day on Friday for kiddo. Windchills in the -20s.

Off I go. Enjoy, everyone. :)
Good evening Sara.
Oh wow that's cold for the kids!

Afternoon, Lurkers[emoji4].

Looks like everything survived our 20° night last night. Supposed to warm up to 30° tonight. Shouldn't have to worry about my pipes. Looked kinda funny, our pool was frozen over this morning. Looking forward to this weekend where it's going to make the 60's. Busy weekend. I was out winterizing the plumbing as well as I could. Much of it under the house I did what I could. Still, we kept the water trickling last night. Hope everyone is staying warm.

Good evening Paul. Glad everything survived!
Man, I'm ready for 60 degree weather again too!!

Hiya Knotty! :)

Good evening all :)

I left work a little early, simply could not deal with the temperature any longer.
At one point it was warmer outside than in the shop  I swear!

Can’t wait for the weekend, hope it’s quiet and lonely  Bet Bela comes for an overnight though ;)

Hope everyone else was a little warmer than me today :)
Good evening Dale.
Wow, that's darn cold if it's colder inside than outside. :(
I'll bet you can't wait for the weekend, you've had a heck of a week already.
Are you feeling any better yet?? It's going around at work too, hoping I don't get it (again).
We kind of all just pass it around all winter though.

Oh, and we're under a boil order at work. Seems the water treatment plant is having "issues". The extended extreme low temps have caused problems. They're saying to boil any drinking water at a ROLLING boil for FIVE FULL minutes before drinking. Help mercy.
Thankfully here at home we have a different water source and treatment plants. :nun:
Hopefully ours stays up and running. Boil orders are the pits.

Welp I'm off. Ready to go soak. ;)

    Hi Lori
I was beginning to think everyone froze today

I feel okay most of the time except when I have a gagging coughing fit ... I truly hate bronchitis :nah: Just had one with sweat rolling out of my hair and tears running out of my eyes  Oh the joys of working in the public again

Sorry to hear about the boil order, those are aggravating. We get one every once in while , usually after it’s over

    Good morning lovely lurkers.

Dale, don't feel bad, we don't consider it whining...we asked and you told us how you're feeling...we just all hope you feel better soon!...And yes on the space heater...all of us have our own space heaters under our desks at work because it's an old building and is drafty with the door opening and closing all the time, so the little heaters really help.

Joey, glad your .... is now staple free...that must have been a real pain in the...well, you know!

Another cold day, looking forward to Sunday when it's supposed to finally warm up a bit...have a good day all!

Good morning Angel, OBG and KC

Add me to the list of space heater owners. It's right next to my little floor fan for when it's unbearably hot. Guess that is starting to happen to me now   There have been days I've rotated between heater and fan lol!

Glad you are home safe, OBG. Hopefully it doesn't get bad there. Chili sounds delightful right about now. :thumb:

Hope you all have a wonderful day and it goes quickly. Late one for me. :glare:
