Good morning lurkers

Looks like we have a little friend that’s decided to stow away with us during this pandemic.:eek::eek:

Ever deal with a mouse? I saw it last night, couldn’t catch it and ended up awake most of the night worried. Uggg.

I’m looking at mouse traps online and it’s a little overwhelming. Tried and true ones?

    Good morning Sara

Of course we’ve had mice , hasn’t everyone? ;) We just buy the snap traps and throw the whole thing away when we catch one. Peanut butter is a much better bait than cheese, they can’t grab it and run

P.S. if you’ve got one you probably have more.

Kidding, sorta. I did see that online. *shudders*

I vaguely remember my mom setting traps when I was a kid. But since then I’ve lived in bliss  until now.

You’ll be alright, they’re more afraid of you than you are of them
Just don’t use poison or you’ll be smelling death for months

    Good morning all.
SSDD here, that's good these days. :)

Sorry about the mouse/mice Sara...yep, if you have one, you have more, most likely. :(
Yes, what Dale said about poison.
Plus, if you're lucky enough that they actually DO go outside to die, if another animal eats it, it will get poisoned as well. :(
Also, try to figure out what's drawing them, and where they're getting in.
Plug any pipe holes, or other possible entry points with steel wool, if you have an attached garage, look for areas they might be nesting. Shredded paper, anything shredded/balls of shredded material, often an indication of the nesting area...and well, the poo trail...

Sorry for the multiple posts...I keep thinking of stuff.
Seasonal decorations can draw them too, if you have anything with multi colored corn, or dried wheat...like for fall stuff....when I worked at the flower shop, they LOVED that sort of stuff, we used those things in fall arrangements, so we had to keep that kind of stuff in bins.

Definitely do not want that And we have Lucy so I don’t want her getting into poison.
Oh yeah! You’re right about that!

Don’t be sorry, it’s been pretty quiet around here ;)

I guess the upside was I didn't have Sundayitis.

Hasn’t changed my life much  I do worry some that DH will bring it home :(
And of course DD is upset that we’re not bringing Bela here  Too risky especially with her job :(

    Good morning Lori

Day 7 for me, it gets better, no not really. Lol.

Rumor has it they are going to call our office in tomorrow. Closed to the public but to work on things that have been sitting there since before 3/13. The governor has granted extensions but that doesn’t sound like it’s good enough.

I had that argument with my parents. They were very angry I wasn’t taking kiddo there. But my step dad is still working also. It’s way too risky for everyone.

We’ve taken to the zoom app to “FaceTime” with the immediate family. Not the same but it will have to do for the meantime.

We just all need to keep washing hands thoroughly, wiping down door knobs, all the things they're saying to do.
It is hard going in public now, keeping the distance is very important.
DD is going to just have to deal with not bringing Bela.
It's hard for everyone not to see grands, and where to find sitters now, but it's just not worth the risk right now, so yeah, y'all are doing the right thing.

A lot of places like yours are working, but closed to the public.
Some are only having 1/2 the people in at one time, social distancing (when there)...again, all the things to cut risk.

DH went in to try to see what's ready that he can deliver to some of his customers in Missouri, which hasn't completely shut down everything yet, but I think it's coming soon.

It's weird here, and where we work falls across gray areas.
Okay to sell/service to essential businesses, okay to ship parts to any customer, okay to offer limited curbside service.
The skeleton crew that's still going in are doing all the distancing things, and trying to keep customers going, but still adhering to the rules.
Places that have to close can still maintain their properties, as can residential, so it's a balance for sure.

I may go in at some point to bring some things home to work on, but won't do that until later this week.
I was in fairly good shape when we closed last Friday, so nothing for me is a big deal right now.

    In your nightmares
Good morning Dale, Sara, Lori and Lurkers

Glue traps work for mice also or a live trap. Need to find the path they are running, a black light will work for that. Shine the black light along the baseboards it will show a discoloration of their urine and hair oil.

Last night my supervisor didn’t like that I have a cold, he was annoyed and asked me a few questions

I wish I could work from home damn it lol. A cop stared me down on my way home, thought I was going to get pulled over :?:
