Good morning Dale. Hope it passes quickly. I saw that mess on the radar on the news.

Good morning Sara
All quiet now, gently raining;)

Good morning Sara, Dale and lurkers

Waiting for my taxes and stimulus money, going to buy a bigger deep freezer for the 1/2 cow we are going to buy from a friend at work to butcher :drool::drool::drool::drool:

Joey, hope you are able to have a long weekend. I see you’ve been slightly mia. Hope you all are healthy!
We are all ok here, I am just tired from work glad we have 3 days off. With the exception of xmas and new years we have been on 12 hour days since last july. Cheap :censored: took our hazard pay away, I knew it was not going to last long. Our warehouse has been cleaned out of all the veggies we had stored. We have been canning millions of canned beans and potatoes weekly since March. In 2 weeks pea season starts than carrots and after that corn. We will be on 12 hours until the end of the year

Hiya Joey

Good for you!! I’m starting to think that’s the way to go. We’ve been talking about going in with my parents and brother on a cow for awhile now. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Sorry they took away the hazard pay. That stinks. Eeesh. 12 hours days for the long haul. I know the pay will be worth it. Glad you guys are doing ok. Enjoy the long weekend.

Making my first batch of sun tea today. Seems the sun doesn’t really want to cooperate though lol.

Weather is dreary here also, rain in the forecast until Tuesday :( I’m going to bbq tomorrow and Monday. Going to try to make a baked ziti this weekend.

Good luck making your tea I like tea cold not a hot tea drinker lol

Waiting for the guy to give me a price for the cow per lb. Than we have to call the processor to schedule a date to butcher it which is probably going to be a couple of months because they are all busy here. We are taking 1/2 the cow and bil will take the other 1/2. Going to cost a small fortune to do lol

Good evening Sara and Joey

Woohoo Joey! That’s awesome  Half a beef will be a good amount :)
I read that everyone was losing the hazard pay, that’s just wrong :(
How’s your stepdaughter Joey?

I’ve had sun tea in the past, seems like a waste of tea to me

She is fine she went back to work last week.

Not sure how we are going to butcher the our half yet until we know what kind of cow we are getting. Suppose I should go over there to see lol

Good morning Dale and lurkers

Mmmm Dale, biscuits...my fave. Perfect quotes as well. Thank you.

I do imagine it will be a nice chunk of change but also, it will last you a good while and save money in the long run, no? Plus you will be set in case there really is a meat shortage. They’ve been reporting it for weeks and so far we haven’t had too much of a problem. We had gotten 6lbs of ground beef and 25 premade burgers from Wegman’s this last shopping trip. The burgers should last us through the summer. Glad to hear Dannielle has recovered.

Lol Dale, think the trick is using a tea you like. ;) I tried it yesterday with a splash of orange vodka. It was an orange Pekoe tea. It was pretty good. But now I’m seeing all over the internet, not safe  so next time I will do it in the fridge.

Water standing still in the sun. Creates a good environment for bacteria to grow. My family used to make it all the time in the summer. So I dunno. But I guess you can do it just the same in the fridge. Rather not take any chances.

Oh absolutely. The costs have definitely gone up. That and limits on what you can buy. I was shocked at the family size packs of beef/burgers that DH had ordered. Surprised we were able to get both.

    Good morning all.

(((Dale))) :( I am so sorry to read that about your Grandson. :nun:

Another week (or so) flies by, not a thing going on here worth reporting on. ;)
Thankfully sunshine and warm weather finally...but now it's like mid-summer...already.

DH bought a new smoker/grill, he's like a kid at Christmas.
He made the best ribs yesterday.

Joey, I agree with your post a ways back...EVERY SINGLE DAY...except one that I saw this past week....over 2000 new positives, and honestly, closer to 2500 everyday.
I guess it's good they're doing a lot of testing, wondering if any of these folks are asymptomatic...which if they are, good to know so they can quarantine...but dang...it's like NON stop.

Thank you, amazing how much it hurts to lose someone you never got to meet.

We’re still getting quite a bit of rainy weather, lower 80’s is the worst we’ve had so far. Humidity has kicked in though

Boys and their toys eh ;)

Our Covid count is still increasing too :(

Well.....I’m all about not wasting, and I’m still here. ;)

    Sorry about the humidity. Ick!
    Good afternoon everyone

Wasted yesterday away trying too catch up on sleep  Today I need to hit the store for a couple of things then spark up the grill:)
You needed the rest. Nothing wrong with that! Whatcha gonna grill?

We had burgers yesterday, hot dogs today and chicken tomorrow. With pasta salad. Gonna make some deviled eggs and homemade ice cream for dessert. Oh and we have stuff to make s’mores.

83 out with a real feel of 89. Hooo boy. Definitely hot out there.

Just got back from the store, got cold cuts, strip steaks, ground beef, hot dogs and sausages. Now the decision needs to be made for dinner tonight and tomorrow . Grill is going to be sparked up in a few minutes once a decision is made :headbang::banana::lol::lol::lol::lol:
