Well….sad to say relaxing is pretty much all I did

We all need those days sometimes I guess. Pool is up to 75. It’s full sun and gets really hot out there. Dh and I sat on the edge with our feet in just chatting away. Kiddo spends Sundays with my parents which I am so fortunate and grateful for.

Dale, I hope you can get a few moments in. But I bet you enjoy this time more since your kiddos are grown with babies of their own. ;)

Now that sounds like a wonderful day to me.

I do enjoy the grandkids, it’s fun watching the kids try to keep up with them too
That must be wonderful. So glad that you get to spend time with them. I can't think of anything more special.

I was anticipating a nice and relaxing Sunday today. Dad did not get the memo.

We did yard work all afternoon. I stayed close to dad today because his balance was worrying me a bit. I hope he is better tomorrow.

We had to work on the push mower that I use. Leaning over he kept getting wobbly. He said he needed the mower on top of the picnic table so he could sit down and work on it. I am really not sure how I got it up there but I did. Dad thinks I can do anything and evidently I do too at times. Right this moment, I'm thinking I should learn how to say no.

heehee

Supper with just my dad and aunt tonight. My cousin did not want to leave her new cat yet. I don't really blame her. It was nice but I couldn't wait to get back home.

Well anyway, I hope we are both okay tomorrow and I am planning on my day of rest. heehee I hope you ladies have a wonderful day.

    Good morning Sara
    Yeah I couldn’t get connected either :?:

Hope you’re both feeling better today Rat2 !
Cloudy here but no rain today, yesterday evening we got a severe thunderstorm, it was cool watching the trees bend. Didn’t last too long but lots of rain fell in a short period of time.

I was pleasantly surprised this morning and was not hurting as badly as I was expecting. I hope tomorrow is just as good. Sometimes it is the second day that gets me for some reason. I have absolutely no plans to pick up anything heavier than my coffee cup today.

The wash is mostly done, the yard is mowed, and I don't have any doctor's appoints scheduled this week. Yay!

Dad only got me up one time during the night which is really good lately. This has been happening since he was in the hospital. He wakes up so confused and not making any sense to me. He seemed fine this morning. I never say anything about it unless he says something because I don't know if he remembers. A couple of mornings he remembered and said he must have been dreaming about something. I just don't want to embarrass him or make him feel bad. I am keeping a list (of course, I am) just in case a doctor needs to know how often this is happening)

Enough about that. A chance of rain every day this week but Tuesday. That works out nicely since I am taking those bags of clothes to the church tomorrow.

    Enjoy your day my friends.

I don’t think we made it past 60 today, it was cold and rainy. I am chilled to the bone and ready to snuggle under my electric blanket

Hot dogs and baked beans for dinner.

Glad you felt good today, Rat2. I probably wouldn’t bring it up to him either unless he asked. Totally understandable.

Dale, glad you got some rain. Guessing you are needing it.

    Hi Sara
That probably does feel cold after the 80’s, we’re not that cool but it was nicer out today than it has been. And yes, we needed the rain :thumb:

We had jalapeño cheese sausage on hoagie buns , cucumber spears and chips.

Had a pretty calm day. Just fixed myself a caramel cappuccino and am streaming an old series I started watching called Revolution. Only two seasons but I like Billy Burke. I need a break from watching the news.

Had a quick rain and thunderstorm. My rain gauge said 1/2 inch of rain. Then the sun came back out and it was beautiful. I know folks are wanting rain but it just means the grass grows faster and needs cutting more often to me.

Sara, I hope your work week has started out pleasant and dale, I hope you are having fun.

Not much else going on except work o_O
Glad to hear from you. Sounds like you and Christina had a great weekend. I am really fond of Arby's Mocha milkshakes.

How long did you say you were going to be working all the long hours? You take it easy and rest and relax when you can.

    Good morning lurkers

ohhhhhhhh the Twilight dad (Billy Burke)

Yeah, rain means more mowing here too! And our yard stays spongy for longer than I’d like as we move from “Wintspring” to “Sprinummer” Winter to Summer. :w00t: Our seasons are all mashed together. Lol

Yum, arby’s and bowling!! Sounds like fun!! Love Arby’s.

Looks like I’m going to have to look up this Billy Burke person
You have never seen the Twilight movies?
    Vala_07.gif
Oh my! Wolves and vampires. (I liked both but I leaned toward the wolves, heehee) Billy Burke stars in the series I am watching called Revolution. It is about the world losing all power. Candles are okay but no internet? Now that is scary to me. heehee

I dread taking those clothes to the church. Using the big lawn and garden bags was not well thought out. Clothes are heavy. But I'll get it done, like a usually do. I just like to fuss a little.

The church's Outreach center has changed its hours. I got my bags unloaded and up to the door before the lady came out and said they were closed. She was nice enough to let me go ahead and make my donation (thank goodness). Guess I will have to go back another day to look for me some shorts. But that's okay.

I went to another church because they sell hotdogs on Tuesday and dad asked me to go get him one. Even the church has had to go up on its prices. (I don't mind them going up) I sure do go to a lot of churches even though I am not a religious person. heehee I consider myself more of a spiritual person if you are wondering.

Went to vote but there was a sign that said they were relocated to another location. So I went to Walmart instead. I was just glad I was out by myself. Dad wanted to go and I told him there was no need for him to go and to finish his hotdog and I scooted out the door before he could say anything. I am going to have to try that again one day. Not that I mind taking him everywhere, but that's the first time I've gone off by myself since I had my teeth cleaned on March 2nd. It is a shame I wasted my tiny amount of freedom on WallyWorld but hey, I'm happy.

Going to do something with chicken tenderloins for supper and I am excited to have my first corn on the cob. I don't think I have ever paid $.42 an ear but I wanted it and I had already passed on the $6.98 watermelon. It's going to be so good.

I hope I feel like taking my walk after supper since I have not had one today. heehee It's 83 right now so I hope it cools off a little bit too.

Hope everyone has a nice evening.
