Good evening lurkers

Got the snowblower and mower back. Dh is put finishing the lawn now. I know he’s happy not to have to push.

We had cheeseburgers, roasted broccoli and some kind of frozen potato things. Kinda like Oreida smiles? But these were emojis? I prefer tots but I’m sure these were on sale at some point. Weird veggie…absolutely…but I do whatever we have in plain sight. Doesn’t bother me if it’s mismatched:lol: Boys don’t seem to care either. Mom, on the other hand….

Hope your cloudy and pleasant stayed that way with maybe a good soaking shower, Dale ;)

Glad you were able to drop your donations off Rat2. Perfect excuse to get away on another solo trip…you have to try on lots of shorts lol and yes, you absolutely deserve those solo trips.

    Good evening y’all :)

That sounded like a frustrating day Rat2, sorry it turned out like that :(
That fresh corn on the other hand is going to be totally worth it :thumb:

Hope your day was decent Sara, we had an odd meal too. This morning I cooked great northern beans with ham hocks, we had that, leftover green beans, leftover corn and ham from Sunday lunch

Haha as long as it uses up some things, I’m always down for it. We used up the fresh broccoli, tomato and some not super fresh rolls.

Work has been sorta rough lately. Not sure if it’s because we’ve been shorter staffed. One out with some sort of plague (no one knows if it’s covid) one out confirmed with covid and one out taking care of their father on and off. We are still appointment only unless you have something that can be done quickly. Now for awhile people were skipping their appts which is frustrating. But lately it just feels chaotic all day long. The only pro to that is the day goes quickly. But I’d prefer to leave sane.

I fixed garlic chicken, rice, collards, corn on the cob, salad, pineapple, and bread. I thought it was very good and yes the corn was worth the wait. Dad was not hungry so he just picked at his. He said it was my fault because I brought donuts back from Walmart and he ate one. It could have messed up his appetite but that's okay. He'll eat a good breakfast.

I am going to finish my jigsaw puzzle (I do one a day on my laptop because I find them relaxing) and then I'm going to read a little and try to get to bed earlier tonight.

    Happy halfway to Friday everyone!

How long did you say you were going to be working all the long hours? You take it easy and rest and relax when you can.
Until jan or feb hard to say with this place.

Thinking of taking a supervisor position, it would be a big pay cut though. Only plus to it is 8 hr days 5 days a week.

Well, only you can decide on that. I imagine it is a tough decision. I am sure the money is nice since everything seems to be going up in cost but you also have to consider your family life and your own happiness. Time goes by so fast that 9 months is not that long (unless you are having a baby)

I just know that you will make the right decision for you and your daughter.

Hope y'all have another great weekend coming up.

I had no idea I was going to be busy today. My aunt wanted me down there when the business that fixed her riding lawnmower brought it back. It only took them 15 days. She made one swipe and said she just could not see where she needed to mow. (Hello! Cut the side that is 18 inches tall). Well, anyway, I imagine you know who mowed her big backyard. I was getting ready to go to the front yard which was not near as bad and she came up there and told me not to because she was going to do it in the morning. Okay, my job was done.

Dad was miffed. He actually said with a straight face there was something wrong with me because I let people use me. I had to leave the room to quit laughing and chewing my tongue.

I got my 10,000 steps in today but it sure is more enjoyable when I'm reading while I walk. heehee

Well, that's how my day went. Never a dull moment.

    I sort of like dull.

    Happy Thursday all.

I actually found dad's comment funny. My collapsed coil in my tooter was much more upsetting. heehee And I cannot really say it was not a truthful statement. Sometimes I do things that I don't particularly want to do but I feel the need to do. I don't think it is a character flaw to be good to others. I just need to learn how to include myself.

I slept pretty well this morning. My phone said 4 hr. and 50 min. That's pretty darn good for me. Sometimes it does not even register that I slept at all and every week it tells me to do better because I did not reach my goal. My phone cares about me.

I have no plans for the day but the coffee has made it start off pretty good. Hope everyone is having a good day.
