Another loss for the season, one more “game” on Thursday. It’s a non league one, so more like a scrimmage. I’m definitely ready for the season to be over. I’m tired and I know kiddo is too.

Technically it was our 4th date. He took me to my favorite restaurant called Bonbon's. Their food is amazing. I have been going there for years. Often on Sunday's, I would take dad, aunt, and cousin there to eat. We always ask for my favorite waiter Chuck. My friend took me there on our second date also. Chuck walked by me 3 times without saying anything. Finally, I asked him if he was going to say hello to me. He looked at me and said, "Excuse me, do I know you?" He was not kidding. He did not recognize me. He had never seen me dressed up with makeup and my hair down. I also had on my contacts and of course, I was not with my usual gang. It was so funny. It sort of made me feel good until I started thinking he must have thought I looked like dog-squeeze before. heehee
I have known this man for a very long time but did not really know him. He is my ex-husband's cousin. It is not a problem though because he never liked my husbands family either. heehee My friend Cindy is the one that suggested he ask me out. She has known him for years. I think I enjoy going out with him because he came pre-approved and I don't have to worry about him being a sociopath. I have no idea if this is going to go anywhere and it really does not matter because he makes me laugh and seems to handle my unique personality very well so that earns him big points.
How many 62-year-old women do you know that are dating for the first time since she was a teenager? Looks like this might be what takes the place of me telling y'all about my dad. heehee

Hope you have a good day also, mine will be long. Didn’t sleep well and got up much too early.
I am not sure yet if I want it to go anywhere. What do I know? I haven't dated in 45 years. He called tonight at 8:45 just to see how my day was. We talked for about 45 minutes and I made a comment that I sure wish he had come over tonight. He said he was not doing anything but his laundry and said he was going to take a quick shower and would be here soon. He only lives a couple of miles from me so that makes it pretty darn convenient.I hope this goes everywhere you want it to.
He said if I did not have any other plans, he would like to take me to dinner at a friend's house this coming Saturday. I am unsure what to expect because he said live music would beaaaaaaaaaaaa there. Evidently, his idea of dinner at a friend's is not exactly what my idea is. heehee Oh well, it sounds like an adventure to me and I am excited.
