Good afternoon Dale and SMT

Ohhh Dale, so glad you have power back.

Thank you SMT for the brunch….or late lunch for me, being on the East coast. Lol!!

Working on cleaning up the outside in preparation for winter. Stopped to grab a bite to eat and see what you all are up to. Hope it’s a good one. :)

    Good afternoon Joey

It is a little too cool in here at the moment, I’ve opened windows because I cooked some salmon burgers. Supposed to actually be cold tomorrow so it’s the best time to air out the house. This weather is extremely limited so I plan to thoroughly enjoy it . It’ll be warm again by Friday

    Good morning lurkers

Thanks for the well wishes. He’s doing good. Snoring away as I type this lol.

Enjoy that cooler weather, Dale. Too cold for my liking ;) But it’s supposed to be warmer this weekend too.

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Good morning Sara
    Glad all is well :thumb:

43 this morning, no where near as cold as they predicted of course  It’s still dark out so it’ll drop a couple of degrees but no where near freezing.

Hope y'all do not mind but I am just going to copy and paste about my date so I don't have to type so much. heehee I am getting so lazy. heehee (sorry Fran, you have to see this twice)

I had an absolutely wonderful time. I did not know what to expect but it was just a cookout. Hamburgers and hotdogs and all the sides. They had the biggest, most gorgeous fire pit I have ever seen. I am guessing there were 25-30 people there. There was live entertainment. I enjoyed watching the man sing and play the guitar. It was more fun watching the karaoke after he left. There was a guest who had his guitar and his wife had a beautiful voice. There was another lady that did a fantastic job too. (there were no shower stalls, so I did not participate)

When we got in line, my friend got in front of me. I was mentally deducting points but then he handed me a plate and asked me what I wanted. He fixed everything on my plate for me. I have never had anyone do that for me and I must say, he ended up getting quite a few points added.

There was a border collie there that would not let anyone touch him although everyone tried. I am not sure why but for some reason the dog liked me. His owner went around the whole night telling everyone that Sam (the dog) rolled over and let me rub his belly. I think the dog knew I was hoping I would not do anything to embarrass anyone and made it special for me. When Jay announced that we were headed out, I cannot tell you how many of his friends came over and hugged me goodbye and said they were so glad I came. I am not sure if my new black sparkly half boots were touching the pavement or not as I walked away. It was a wonderful night.

I guess I did okay at the party because he called me out of the blue today and wanted to take me to lunch. I was at Targets shopping when he called and let me tell you, there quite possibly could have been smoke coming out of my behind as I left that store without buying what I went in there to get. heehee He took me again to my favorite restaurant and we split the Cowboy Burger again. It was officially our 6th date (yes, I have a list) and he said he would call me later on in the week, and if I did not have any plans, he would like to take me out. I am already looking forward to going out with him again. He is playing golf tomorrow for 4 hours. I asked him if he needed a caddie but he just laughed. I guess he thought I was kidding. I was not.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Oh Rat2 it’s so exciting to see you so happy! . Sara and I can’t wait for you to have your special date and we’re excited to hear about it. Hearing about your new life is so fun, please keep it up!
Thank you so much. It is exciting to me too. I have been waking up early in the morning because I cannot wait to get up and open all the drapes in the house and see the sun come up. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is not to live my life having to turn on a light switch every time I enter a room.

It is very overwhelming going through everything and I realize it is going to take me a long time. I felt good the other night when Jay came in because he said you must clean all the time because everything looks so neat. (I have not allowed him to come in the front door because the dining room and living room are where I am stacking all the stuff I am getting rid of. It is in sections. I have kitchen stuff, wood stuff, basket stuff, glass stuff, brass stuff, ducks stuff, etc. I am not sure yet if I want to go to the trouble of having a yard sale. It is so much work. I think I am just going to take it to different places and give it away. 20221015_074417.jpg

There is an animal rescue foster program here and I know the woman that runs it. I washed up all my dog stuff the other day and I have 30 sweaters, a bunch of scarves, and even a pair of doggie boots to donate to them. A lot of sweaters I knitted but I am not planning on having any pets so I would rather they get used instead of stored.

Looking on the bright side. . . I will not be looking for something to do this winter when it gets cold. heehee I may have to wait til warm weather to get the attic. OMG, just the thought of it makes my head spin around like the girl in The Exorcist. (I have never seen that movie but I have that part on shows).

Y'all know with me there is no telling what is going to happen. I have no filter and I'm pretty much an open book. Whatever happens, I am 99.9% sure my journey will be funny. Are you sure you want to with me?

    Happy Wednesday!

Look what DIDN’T get posted last night. Uggg :?:

    Good evening lurkers

Sooo very nice to be able to cook somewhat normal dinners again. Last night was a bit of leftovers, but tonight we had spaghetti with meat sauce, corn and garlic bread. :)

I think it got up to 52 today, raining and 39 currently. :nah:

Waiting on kiddo to come out of his room so we can watch a Halloween movie.

    Sweet dreams

    Good morning lurkers
