Nothing wrong with wanting to be number one Rat2, just give him some time to see where you’re going ;)

Yes in August we have to pay the insurance for our home and 3 vehicles, it’s always a big hit for us. We could pay in installments but I hate doing it that way plus they charge more.

Just spent 125 dollars for soap   But it is gifts for 5 people ;)

I don't think there is anything wrong with that either. I am definitely not ready for a relationship. I don't have enough time left to figure out men but I have enough time to try to be happy.

He called late this afternoon and canceled because his sister was coming into town. She is building a house beside him and they have had some problems getting the land right or something like that. He apologized and said he felt bad for disappointing me. He wants to come over tomorrow which I said was fine. I just think if someone says they are going to take you out they should have called earlier in the day to let me know. One of my pet peeves are not doing what you say you are going to do. I understand of course but would not have made a strawberry shortcake or shaved if I had known earlier. It is going to be okay. I'm sure.

I did go for another walk tonight. My neighbor down the street stopped me and asked about dad. His wife, who I have talked to many times, did not recognize me. Maybe I should wear my hair down and put in my contacts more often. heehee

I signed up for a blood drive tomorrow at 11. I gave last time in the mobile bus that goes around. Pretty cool actually so I thought I would try it again. The nurse I had was so nice last time. She took dad a bottle of water when I told her he was sitting out in the car.

Walmart did not have a bed skirt this morning but they did have a soft blue blanket for my bed. I came home and washed it (of course) and I think it got even softer. Maybe new bedding will help me sleep better. heehee

    Happy Sunday to everyone.

Either getting 3 hours of sleep the night before or getting a new fluffy blanket, I slept better last night. Six hours and I only woke up once. Pondered a little bit and fell back to sleep. I hope it was the new fluffy blanket. heehee I hope it happens again tonight. Fingers crossed.

Enjoying morning coffee. I never eat breakfast but I'm going to try to find a little something since I am giving 2 pints of blood this morning.

    Happy Sunday to all.

Good gracious, I just noticed the time that you posted that. What were you doing up fixing breakfast at that time of day? heehee
    Good morning Rat2

IKR? I was really disappointed to wake up at 2 a.m.
Once the hot water tank catches up from DH’s shower I plan to wash my hair and try to take a nap.... got a fatigue headache.

Hopefully you will be able to rest better now :)
I don’t eat breakfast either but I’ll probably be starving by 10 since it’ll be my lunch time by then

Still having issues with this website and my phone. Definitely user error. Lol! After I posted then another page of posts appears.

So good morning Dale and Rat2

I’m sorry you didn’t sleep well causing a headache, Dale. Thank you for breakfast and the lovely quotes. Hopefully it goes away soon.

Aww shoot, Rat2. I’m sorry Jay cancelled. I would have been disappointed too. I’m glad you had a good night’s sleep. Fingers crossed it was the blanket and continues to bring well rested nights.

Good morning to all. I hope everyone has a great start to your week.

I was disappointed Saturday because I just think it was inconsiderate to cancel that late in the day. I know I get my feeling hurt too easily but he said he would call and come over to get his strawberry shortcake yesterday. He called at 4:30 and told me he had dad's vacuum working (I told you he could fix anything) and he was doing some of his neglected housework. He said if I wanted to come over to come anytime and if he did not hear from me, he would call me today to come over and talk.

I told him from the beginning that he would always know how I feel because I do not play games. I text him and told him appreciated everything he has done and that I would gladly pay him for his time fixing dad's stuff for me. I was honest and told him what had hurt my feelings and that there was no need for him to find time to come over today and talk.

I do not need any drama in my life and I will no longer let anyone make me feel insignificant. It is all a part of the new me. heehee I know I have much to learn that I probably should have learned long ago. And I find this whole dating thing very confusing.

What you all probably know about me, that Jay does not realize is that I have a soft heart and I have to protect it. I do allow myself to be knocked down (I'm working on that one) but I am darn good at getting back up.

Oh, and btw, my friend Cindy came over yesterday to bring me some of the chicken soup she made. I gave her a bunch of chicken broth last week that I was not going to be using. That definitely turned out to be a good deal for me because the soup was delicious and she texted me last night and said that my strawberry cake was absolutely the best she had ever had (I'm not sure how anyone could not make a good shortcake, heehee). Jay did not seem to want it and I didn't need it. I hate for things to be wasted so I gave his dessert to her and I am glad someone enjoyed it.

Okay, that is the latest chapter in the book y'all are reading about a rat that is finding her way in the world. bahahahahaha

    Enjoy your day.

Good morning Rat2 and lurkers

I am glad that Cindy enjoyed your shortcake and I’m really sorry about Jay. :(

Ugh, I love low key weekends but then I end up being irritated on Monday because nothing got done. Lol. I finished the book, Doctor Sleep. Then I pulled up the movie on demand and watched it yesterday.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Rat2 and Sara

Sorry things didn’t work out for you and Jay Rat2, I guess it is best not to invest a great deal of your time if he’s not what you want or need.

What kind of book was Dr. Sleep Sara? You must have enjoyed it if you also watched the movie.

Doctor Sleep is a Stephen King novel kind of following up on The Shining. Not sure if you’ve read or watched. I have never read The Shining, but have seen the movie many times. It’s thriller/horror genre.

Kiddo loves scary movies. So every year I’ve introduced him to “new” ones around the same age I was when I first saw them. Last year we watched The Shining and he said how boring it was  However, he asked to rewatch this year and we did. Was chatting with a co worker who has all King’s books and she lent me Doctor Sleep. While the book was phenomenal, the movie was pretty good too.

Censorship was different depending on where I was (divorced parents) so I decided not to “censor” him as far as music/movies is concerned depending on what I felt his maturity was capable of. Today’s music/horror is not like that of yesteryears. I was terrified by Children of the Corn, Night of the Living Dead, I loved Halloween, Elm Street and The Shining. While he loves Halloween, he prefers the Exorcist and The Conjuring. Yuck!! Then again, I haven’t found a modern horror flick with the capabilities of scaring the crap out of me.

    Welcome @katesmom :)

I’ll read some horror but I don’t watch it. Thanks for the outline :)
