Oops, I hit post before I was finished.

Terry called last night. He has checked into us riding a ferry somewhere and renting an ATV to go see a lighthouse (I think he said Cape Lookout but I can't remember because I was so excited that I was going to do something I have never done). He said his dad used to take him there when he was 6 or 7 and he has always wanted to go back. He said he did not buy the package yet because he wanted to make sure it was something I wanted to do first. Boy that just earned him quite a few points. I have never been on a ferry or seen a lighthouse in real life or been asked if something was what I wanted to do.

Isn't that wonderful? Y'all know I am going to have to share my first vacation as a free woman with you. It is going to be amazing.

Good evening lurkers

I think the honey helped with taste and I’d have to say no worse than over the counter cough medicine. I’m definitely not going to give up. ;)

So I sliced about an inch off a whole red onion and tossed it in a pan. Added 3 garlic cloves minced (video I watched said 2 tablespoons) and 2 tablespoons of sugar and squeezed some raw honey over it. Set to low and let it sweat, stirring once you see some juices. To be honest it didn’t make a ton. I put it in a container in the fridge and you can reheat in the microwave for the next 3 days. Then make fresh. I tried to get him to sleep with the onions but he doesn’t wear socks to bed and refused to do it. So that’s why I cut up the red onion and put it in a bowl beside his bed as I’d heard that works too.

Sorry about your meds, Rat2. That definitely can be very frustrating. How fun, a ferry ride and lighthouse!!

Dh had a meeting tonight and was grabbing a pizza on his way home.

It ended up being a yucky day here. Cloudy and rainy. I would have stayed in bed but I thought if I made myself go to the gym, I would feel better. It did not work this time but at least I tried. I only worked out for 34 minutes before I had to quit. I went by and picked up the new thyroid med and came home and went straight to bed. I felt a lot better after I rested. I am getting ready to go back now.

Friday I have my mammogram. I have not had one in several years so I thought since I am getting ready to lose my health insurance, I better go ahead and get one. I am way behind on my colonoscopy too but it was not covered so I am just not going to think about that right now.

I'm done for the day. Hope everyone sleeps well.

    Good evening Sara
I had an unusual day, lots of down time at work, not much accomplished.

Supper was chicken nuggets, mini tator tots and broccoli.

I think this is the first day since dad passed that I have stayed home all day. When I got up this morning, it was the first time I did not make my bed up as soon as I got up. I knew I would be going back. Just another really yucky day. I forced myself to go to the gym yesterday but I felt worse today so I did not even attempt it.

My aunt's 90 year birthday was today. The family all went out to eat. I called my aunt today and said I was not feeling well and I would take her out for a birthday lunch one day soon. Her kids went in together and got her a new tablet. They said that my part was going to be setting it up for her. I really don't mind doing it. I would just prefer to be asked first. I'm silly like that. heehee

I hope everyone has a nice Thursday.

    Good evening Sara
‘Hopefully you sleep better tonight and I sleep longer ;)

Yes I’m happy to stay home
‘My car might be ready Saturday but I’m not holding my breath.

I don’t generally like slow days as it makes it seem to drag, maybe I should start carrying a book ;)

I‘m already ready to lay down but trying to stay up longer.

Hi Dale, Sara and Lurkers :)

Hope everyone is feeling good, I still have a cough and runny nose. Glad it is Friday and I have the weekend :) My sister is coming up from Florida for Christmas and New Years, also I'm almost done shopping for gifts. Christina has not really told me what she wants so I'm left to figure it out

Good afternoon Dale and Joey

The stores here are in rough shape. Lol! I grabbed a few stocking stuffers. Seems like no one really knew what they wanted this year so that didn’t help. Kiddo was the same way, Joey.

Ugh. Hope your car is done soon, Dale. I remember you mentioned possibly Saturday. Fingers crossed.

Hate you’re still dealing with the remnants of your virus, Joey. That’s great news about your sister. :)

*yawn* I could use a nap. But that would really mess up my schedule ;)
