Leftover chili from the freezer and homemade corn bread with jalapeños for dinner. Tonight’s Advent activity was picnic by the Christmas tree. Let’s just say, chili….not a good idea on the beach blanket by the tree  It’s in the wash, no biggie. We also did a Christmas word scramble after we ate. Dh won the most words lol
Lols Sara, I can see where that was a challenge

I had some leftover fried rice. Wasn’t happy with the way this batch turned out but figure I should eat it anyway

Lol! Well I thought it would work out ok because it was in a bowl….of course when I put the tag in the advent calendar our menu wasn’t planned yet ;) I washed on cold, the spills (NOT MINE BTW) should come out.

Note to self….make sure you remember what day that is and plan accordingly lol.

Sorry your rice wasn’t as good as it usually is. I’ve been there, hate to waste too!

Off to watch a Hallmark Christmas movie. Sweet dreams.

I saw the sun this morning and it was wonderful. Just got my shower. I go get fingerprinted today at 1 if the GPS lady gets me to the right place safely. It is downtown and I really do not like driving down there with all those one-way streets and people walking around. I used to love working downtown but that was because I carpool with my dad. It was nice that the police carpooled and it was so much cheaper than paying for parking down there. I used to walk on my lunch break but you had to be careful. The wind was really strong with all those tall buildings. I'm sure my dress blowing up did not look anything like Marilyn Monroe's.

Thank goodness way back then, everyone did not have cell phone cameras.

Well, I better get moving. Y'all have a great day. Be back later.

    Good evening lurkers

Hope everything went well with the fingerprinting and you made it in and out of the city ok, Rat2

Grilled cheese and soup for dinner. Then kiddo and I watched Elf. Now I’m ready for bed. Lol Sweet dreams!
    Hi Sara
We had a rotisserie chicken with Alfredo noodles and broccoli.
I’ll probably watch NCIS if it’s new before bed.

    Have a peaceful night:wub:

Well, of course, the GPS lady said my destination was on the right and it was not. I ended up pulling into the parking lot of some lawyer to go in and ask for directions. The place I was looking for was down the street a couple of blocks so I asked if there was any way I could leave my car there and just walk. They were very nice and said that I could. . . for $5.00. heehee Well, worth it to me.

No cell phones or tooters in the courthouse. Another reason I don't particularly appreciate going downtown. It did not take long at all. Just had to put my signature on fifty-eleven things. No black fingers. All done sort of like biometrics on a phone. I do not understand why there would not give me a copy. They sent it somewhere electronically. Personally, for $97.00 I think I should have gotten something I could have taken home and put on my fridge.

Stopped off at the estate office while I was in the neighborhood. Picked up some information and asked a bunch of questions. They were very nice. I still did not file dad's will. I had everything with me but I thanked them and left. It just makes it so final. There are so many things I do not understand. I would definitely have to make several trips downtown to get it all filed. I am going to ponder this but I am thinking this is something that I do not want to do and it would be less stressful to just have an attorney handle it all. At least then I would be certain that everything was done correctly.

I was so down when I left that I called my sister's first of five husbands and asked him to go walking with me. I knew I needed to walk and the fresh air was wonderful. No romance between us. He has a girlfriend although it is a weird relationship. He is the only husband I stayed in contact with. We have been friends since 1978. He gives me good financial and personal advice. At least I think he does but what do I know? I tell him all the time he picked the wrong sister. They were only married a little over a year and probably a year too long. heehee

Terry did come back from the coast. I thought he might come over but I am sure was tired from the drive. It is a 5 1/2 hour trip. He did call and he did ask me to go to the church to eat Wednesday night with him so there is that. I told him I still owed him his birthday hug (it was Dec. 4th). He chuckled and said maybe I had better give him 2 for good measure. Okay I have to admit that was kinda cute.

I think I will stop by the store on the way back from the gym today and make some kind of desert for after our church date. It will be our 8th date. That is a new record for me. His cousin did not take me out that much and was not near as much fun.

I am going to go read and try to get a good nights sleep. It has been a long day.

    y'all

I'm right much to handle in all honesty.

Sorry, your alarm did not acknowledge your peaceful slumber. heehee I woke up early with making a mental list of stuff I need to do today. I do some of my best pondering when everything is quiet.

Hope you have a good day.

Good evening Sara and Rat2

It’s been a really dark, gloomy day and stormy here, made me lazier than usual
‘Poor Randy, deer season has been a real bust this year for him. Got a message this morning that he didn’t need me and wasn’t sure when he might, really broke my heart ;) I do feel bad for him though :(

    Good evening Dale

Awww that really stinks about deer season. No one in my family got one either.

I truly believe you are the lucky one, Rat2. :)

Taco Tuesday and then we swapped out hot cocoa for peppermint frosties and drove around town to look at all the Christmas decorations. (Today’s Advent activity) We got lucky because the weather is going to turn Thursday and get nasty. We even brought Lucy along. :) it was a lot of fun.

Now I’m cold and snuggled under my electric blanket. Going to try to turn in early and hope for a better night’s sleep. Sweet dreams

Went walking with my ex-bro-in-law again. He had on a big coat and gloves. I had on a long sleeve t-shirt and capri's. I did not get cold. I only get cold in warmer weather. I swear my thermostat has never been right.

After walking with him, I went to the gym and walked some more and did the machines. Thursday, it will be a month of going to the gym. I was not sure if I would like it but I really do.

I went to the thrift store and bought 2 shirts. I love shopping there. The name of the place is Freedom House. I like the name too. One shirt was 75% off so the two only cost 7 dollars. Really cute too! I came home and washed them already.

I have a 10:00 appointment tomorrow. The only bad thing is I have to go back downtown. It is in a different building from the courthouse so maybe the GPS lady will do better than she did yesterday. Fingers crossed.

After shopping, I stopped by the grocery store. Got a little Lean Cuisine pizza. I used the air fryer function on the new microwave and it did work nicely. I also came home and made a strawberry shortcake. I usually make them in the summer but for some reason, I have been thinking about them. Terry called tonight and I asked him if he liked them. He said he was not big on any desserts. What? Are you kidding me? I am sorry. That is going to have to go on his list on the con side. I figured I'd find something odd about him.

All jokes aside, it is really good and I wish I did not have such a sweet tooth. I do not keep stuff around because I have absolutely no willpower on some things.

I have been on the new "real" thyroid medication for a little over a week. Tonight is the first night that I think I am going to have to take my socks off. I have WARM feet! I cannot remember the last time this happened so I am thinking the meds might be doing something. YAY!

Hope everyone (including me) gets a wonderful night's sleep. Dale if you go back to Hawaii, please take us with you. heehee
