Awww Happy Birthday, Classy  I hope you had a wonderful day!!

Hoo boy, Dale. That is exactly what’s heading for us. Raining now and we’ll have a sharp drop in temps tomorrow.

I’m whooped. We went to my favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. Looking forward to a nice, long vacation now. Hoping we don’t lose power tomorrow.

Sweet dreams

    I was 32 in 92 too!

    Me? Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

The pizza was wonderful and I pigged out. I let Terry pick the movie. A western with Gregory Peck. It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. We still had fun.

He couldn't wait to give me my Christmas gift. I have enough ammo to go shooting quite a few times. I can't wait to go. I think he liked his drone and Orca Cooler. The big insulated cup had 4.7 stars out of 5 on Amazon. I just liked it because it matched his boat really well. I am so matchy, matchy. heehee

I can't wait to go to his sister's but I can already tell you, this had been a really good Christmas for me. It is nice making happy memories.

Even though it was cold and raining, I forced myself to go to the gym. Had a really good workout. I think knowing I was eating pizza for supper made me work harder. It is a good thing I went because I found out that they will be closed until next Wednesday. I am glad they give their employees time with their families but I am sure going to miss going.

Hope everyone (including me) sleeps well.

Good morning everyone. Dale you are always first but that is because I cannot bring up ecf on tapatalk like I used to do on my phone and when I bring ecf up in the browser I cannot find my followed threads. heehee I am not sure what I am going to do when I go to the coast. I cannot believe I am going to spend time at a place that does not have internet. Sheesh! I might not be able to stay gone as long as I would like to.

It is 45 degrees outside but something is happening. The wind might blow my huge wreath to someone else's door. This may be the cold coming in because they are still saying with wind chill, we are going to be 8 below. We have not been that cold since 1985. Talk about a good time to snuggle!

All I am responsible for is making that Buffalo Dip which can be made the day before and I can heat it up before I leave for Terry's sister's. Of course that is if he will give me a definite time that he is picking me up. Everytime I ask he says he will let me know. I ask him when we are going to be leaving for the coast and he said he has not decided yet. Someone needs to tell him that I am NOT a fly by the seat of my pants kinda girl. I have to ponder and fret and plan every detail. heehee Maybe it is a good thing he is like that because I sure could use a little "what difference does it make" in my like. He grins and says I worry to much and he is right.

The gym is closed today and I am not sure what I am going to do. Shoot, after I get the dip ready, I might just sit down and what Christmas movies. Or find me a pattern for something to knit. I am taking yarn and stuff with me. I can easily entertain myself. heehee

Sara, so glad you got to sleep in this morning. Most of the time I can't sleep in because I can. If I have an appointment or something to do and I have to use the alarm, I swear I could sleep all day. heehee

Everyone, have a wonderful day. I just need to tell y'all once again. . . I am so grateful y'all let me be a part of this thread.

Awww. I feel your pain, Rat2. I am a need to have a plan in place girl. I have asked Dh repeatedly what time we are going to his parents for Christmas. I still don’t have a response although with the storm it’s probably not going to happen now until next weekend. Stay warm.

Speaking of which it’s here and in full force. The wind arrived a couple hours ago. The gusts are awful, I hate wind. It was pouring this morning when I got up and now the snow is sideways and it’s a total whiteout at times.

We’ve now been without power for the last hour. And my step dad got to work safely only for there to now be a travel ban. Grrrr

Of course my post didn’t post. Lolol

It came back on after 2+ hours. House was down to 60. We turned the oven on to get a quick dinner in, just in case it goes off later.

Good evening Rat2, Joey and Sara

Wow Sara that’s some terrible weather you’re having!
We got all the way up to 20 today

Spent a good chunk of the day prepping for Christmas dinner. Hopefully after tomorrow all I’ll need to prepare will be the turkey, cook the dressing and set the rolls to rise for baking. Tomorrow I’ll be making cornbread and chopping a bunch of stuff , hope to get the dressing assembled to bake. Oh and make the sweet potato casserole. Probably wait until Sunday to devil eggs as fresh is better. Kids are supposed to bring some sides and desserts... if they don’t we’ll just do without ;) No one will have reason to go hungry except maybe Nathan, he does not eat any type of vegetables and won’t eat my dressing either because it has onions and celery in it

Make some dressing in a small bake pan that doesn’t have onions and celery in it

It is brutal cold here when the wind picks up. We got about 2” of snow, roads are nasty. Taking a break from cooking and cleaning tonight, we are going to have tuna fish with onions and chips. Need to make potato salad for Christina she has been asking for it. Not sure what to make for tomorrow nights dinner yet, Christmas dinner is a prime rib roast with mashed potatoes and corn and 3 bean casserole.

Just need to wrap gifts tonight and relax, hopefully I don’t have to go to the store tomorrow. Not really interested in dealing with people I don’t know anymore

I offered to do that the first year and got a hard no so I haven’t offered again.
I’m making some cold potato salad tomorrow.

I’ve been to Walmart once in the last two months  Mainly because I didn’t have a car.

Good evening Dale and Joey

Weather is definitely nasty. Wind is still roaring. But the power has stayed on the rest of the day. This is supposed to go to 12/25. I’m still hoping we will be able to go to mom’s, Christmas morning.

Dinner will be baked ziti, meatballs, garlic bread and salad. Buckeye pie for dessert.

    Sweet dreams lurkers
    Stay safe and warm.

Hey everyone. My internet was out all day yesterday and I woke up to it's still down. At least I found this thread on Chrome using my phone. And I'm supposed to spend time at a place with no internet? I don't like it. Not one little bit.

My cousin called last night because she was unable to get her mom on the phone. So I was going to my aunt's to tell her when to expect her son to get here from Edisto SC and I closed the garage door and realized I did not have my car keys. Put my code in on the outside keypad and it would not work. Grrrr Kept trying and finally just walked down to my aunt's because I was cold. Figured it might be the batteries so I borrowed some from my aunt and carried her heavy ladder down the street to my house. If it was not the battery, I was going climb into the garage window that I never could get locked. That was better than breaking a window to get in.

I had a garage door opener in the car but no keys to get into it. I have a house key in the garage but couldn't get in there either. And on top of everything, it was 22 degrees outside.

I guess the keypad was frozen and thawed out while I was trying to figure out how to get to the battery because all of a sudden the buttons lit up. I put my code in and the garage opened. I went in the house and put a coat on and took the ladder back. What a day.

Now at least I know I need to hide a house key outside somewhere or put one of those magnetic key boxes under the car somewhere.

Handled everything without getting too upset. (I always have delayed freakout when something like that happens) Just glad my aunt was home.

I did get my Buffalo dip mixed up last night and I will heat it up before Terry picks me up tonight to take me to his sister's for supper.

Doesn't my posts help y'all be grateful for your own problems and not mine. Heehee I'm used to weird things happening and I can assure you it will not keep me from having the best Christmas ever. I love happy endings to my stories.

I do hope my internet gets fixed soon. I'm having laptop withdrawal. Heehee

    Merry Christmas eve everyone!
