Good evening lurkers

Awwww, look at his smile. He definitely loved that!

I love me some waffles, yum! We ate poorly. Burgers and fries. That's ok, I'm gonna finish up my steps to hit 10k again. I know the exercise won't make up for dinner, but I was honest and logged all my food. Only over by 228 calories. Not too shabby.

Ahhh I  you, Dale!! We splurge too much ;) That being said, I was going to treat kiddo to burgers/fries on Thursday (Dh out of town tomorrow-Fri) but the weather is supposed to take a turn for the worse so we swapped dinners this week. I’ll make spaghetti on Thursday night so I’m not making an extra stop since they are talking 4-8 inches of snow. Fingers crossed we stay closer to 4.

Hope everyone had a good night. Sweet dreams

Yeah it’s still raining I think and may freeze tonight but we’ll have ice instead of snow.
    ‘Sleep well friend

I cannot tell you how long it has been since I drove the porcelain bus but that is what I did yesterday afternoon. OMgosh, I hate throwing up. Have not run any fever but had clamminess. Drank some of dad's ginger ale. He said it always helped his stomach. It was actually pretty good.

I have laid in bed so much my back is killing me. I wonder if my sleeping issues are related to my back. Psychologically I know my back hurts if I lay too long so maybe that is why I keep waking up. I don't know. I just know I can handle anyone being sick with anything but when it comes to me, I'm a wuss.

I hope I feel like going to the church tonight because they are having chicken pot pie and it is really good. Also because I think he is going to invite his sister and her husband. He can eat chicken. I still think that is so weird to not be able to eat meat from any animal that has hair. I would hate eating fish and chicken all the time. All that from getting a tick bite. Sheesh!

It is a rainy day here. I can't believe I have not been to the gym all week. I really miss going but there are a lot of older people that go there and I would not want to pass on this stomach whatever I've had to them.

Been craving waffles lately so spent some time this afternoon making waffles ... pretty sure I’ve already eaten my supper
Oh, that does sound good. It has been a while since I fixed them. I was looking at videos on Instagram the other night and they took frozen french fries and put them on a waffle iron to make sandwiches. It looks pretty darn good and I am going to have to try it. They used a regular waffle iron and mine is a Belgium so I don't know if that would make a difference. My mouth is watering thinking about a BLT fixed on a FF bun.

Now I have added cheese and bacon to my waffles and they were delicious. And of course, blueberries and chocolate chips too. I am sitting here making myself hungry! heehee

Happy "Hump" day to everyone.

Is it Terry that got the tick bite? I’ve heard about that illness, nasty stuff!
No thank goodness. It is his brother-in-law. I have never heard anything like this and I hope I never get it. I like my meat too much. I am going to be paranoid about ticks this summer.

    Good evening ladies

Sorry you weren't feeling well, Rat2. I hope you were able to get that chicken pot pie for dinner.

Wish we had rain instead of sleet/snow yuck. Dh snowblowed part of the driveway before he left, we had about 4 inches. Roads were nasty coming home. Kiddo and I shoveled the whole driveway which was about another 2 inches, so 6 on the side he didn't snowblow. They increased the amounts from 4-8 to 7-10. I have used the snowblower but, never started it. Figure I will check youtube tonight to see how to get it running. It took us 90 minutes to get it all cleaned out. I hit 10k steps for the day without walking this morning

Dinner was hot pretzels and ice cream. Well deserved and I was too dang tired to cook.

Ugh work after work, no wonder you had a weird supper
‘Hope you don’t get much more nasty weather :(. Just cloudy here today.

We had Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwiches for supper.

I haven’t had Wendy’s food in awhile. Yum! We did get their peppermint frosties a couple times when they had them. I’d even take cloudy as much as I’m missing the sun lol

Kiddo wanted me to get delivery and I said no, it’s too nasty outside. If I won’t drive in it, I’m not making someone else drive in it. I can do you one better. How about ice cream for dinner. His eyes got as big as half dollars. I had preheated the oven when we finished shoveling, but by the time I changed, started laundry and fed Lucy, hot pretzels was all I wanted to do.

    Sweet dreams

Definitely felt much better today. I wish I could have gone tonight but I just could not take the chance around the people at the church. There are a lot of older people. I really wanted that chicken pot pie but I always end up doing the right thing. Looking on the bright side, all my wash is done.

Remember the plant I bought last week? It is blooming beautifully and makes me long for spring. As fast as time goes by, I am sure it will be here before I know it.

    Good morning lurkers

Hope you are feeling even better today, Rat2.

Thank goodness we have Lucy, I might have slept through the alarm  At least it’s not 2am

Hope everyone has a good day!
    Good morning Sara
Have a good day. I’m not happy about being up either, not rested at all.

Glad you’re feeling better Rat2

Terry couldn’t bring you a to-go tray? :( DH brings me stuff from the church meals all the time.

Your flowers are beautiful! I had a pot of flowers like that once, planted them in my little garden after they died back.

Oh, you should know he offered but I told him no. I have never seen him sick and I don't want to start now. He has always been healthy as a horse. I have never known him to call in sick at work. I just think it is best to err on the side of caution in most cases. I am forever a professional caregiver.

It is a shame I do not have a green thumb considering how much I love flowers. I may try to replant them if they live but that is a big "if".

I have a long row of Peonies that I have been telling dad needed to be thinned out. Do you know when the best time to dig some up would be? I have several people that would like some that live on my street. Of course, if they want them, they will have to come to dig them up. I have retired from doing everything for everybody.

I am feeling even better than yesterday but I sort of wish I could have it just a tad longer. Not the upchucking part but the I really don't have an appetite part. It has been wonderful. Maybe not the best way to lose weight but I'll take it. heehee

I think it would be a good day to try to go to the gym. I will not do as much as I usually do and I know I will quit if I get clammy. But I think it would do me good. I have been in the house since Monday night, which is a record for me staying home since dad passed. I cannot tell you how wonderful it has been to be able to go places when I want and be by myself. I am sure it will run its course and I will turn back into a hermit as I have always been. I really am more of a homebody anyway. Especially if it is a happy home.

I hope everyone has a good day. Dale, sorry you are not rested. It might be a good day to grab a short power nap. I think sometimes what keeps me from sleeping is being over-tired when I go to bed. And thinking about fifty-eleven things too at the same time too!

Not that it matters much to me but I am happy it is Fri-Yay eve Sara. I did not mean to be inconsiderate talking about blooming flowers and Spring when you are having to deal with what you are. Bless your heart. I know you are used to it but I am not sure I could take all that snow. We have not had the first flake this year and it wouldn't bother me if it stayed that way. When I read about your driveway, I thought, boy if I lived close to her I could use the scraping blade on my tractor and clean your driveway off for you but then I thought, that would only cause a skating rink. (which could be fun too!)
