What a great afternoon! I hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as I did.
Took the Geo-Dog out for a Cache run, we hit one of the rails-to-trails paths, and logged about 8 miles out and back. Straight as an arrow, gentle grade and bright sunlight, tolerable temps. At the turn, I realized it was now uphill, and into the wind, but still it was pleasant. It probably would have been more fun on a bicycle, but that brings a whole other dimension of dog-wrangling
We found seven geocaches, and reported another couple as probably missing. There's more on this trail to the North, and loads to be found in the State Park to the West, so it's a fair bet to think that I'll make the half-hour drive back there again before the year is out.
We did a pretty good job of staying clean, apart from muddy boots and paws until we hunted for the last Cache of the day, whereupon we harvested about a million burrs from the undergrowth. It took two of us a full 40 minutes to clear that long-haired dog of most of them!
Now to engage in that ritual so beloved of all working folk: get prepped for the week.
I'll be absent til next weekend, probably, so here's wishing you all a wonderful week. If conditions allow, get outside!
