The sun is shining but the rain will be here soon. I am going to try to go walk before it does and maybe come home, get another cup of coffee, curl up with a book, and take a nap. That's the plan. We'll see. My plans normally go awry.

Across the street from the shooting range I went to yesterday, there is a Mexican restaurant that I have eaten at a couple of times. So good. It was all I could do not to pull into their parking lot. I have been thinking about Mexican food ever since. I might stop by the store and get some ground turkey and make myself a taco salad. That sounds pretty good to me.

I am happy it is Friday for those who love them. I have nothing planned for the weekend other than laundry. There is just something so wrong with that. heehee

Happy Sara's Fri-YAY to everyone!

Good evening lurkers

Woot!!! The weekend is finally here

Burgers in a bag because I was lazy and didn’t feel like cooking.

Mmm I absolutely love the chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants. Hope your taco salad is good, Rat2 :)

Ugh, Dale sorry about your weather. It was beautiful as far as sun goes but it was downright cold. Deceiving for sure.

Well, it was another sunny, beautiful day here. In the 80's and I got a little warm but I'm not complaining.

Went back to the Spectrum store again yesterday and ended up buying a new phone. I was going to wait til the S24's came out next February but I figured since they were going to give me $688 for a trade-in I better go ahead and upgrade. They did not have one in the store but my tracking says I will get it Monday morning. That's not too bad although I would rather have gotten it yesterday.

I ended up not having to cook either. My cousin called and asked if I wanted to go with her and my aunt to Poblanos for Mexican. I ate so many chips with the salsa that I had to bring home some of my meal because I was already full by the time it got to me. heehee I do not keep stuff like that in the house because I am willpower challenged so you know I attacked those chips like a wild woman.

It was nice to have something to do on Friday night. Guess tonight's excitement will be laundry.

Yay! I like doing laundry. I just don't like to put it away. Just like I don't mind washing my hair but I hate to dry it. Sounds like I do everything half you-know-what.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

    Good morning lurkers

Super jealous, Rat2 ;) Both of your weather and chips/salsa! I saw a video on tiktok that the amount of chips in the basket equals 20 tortillas   No shame in my game, they are always perfectly salted, slightly warm and crispy, yum!! We may or may not get the basket refilled too!

Watched my brother take off from the airport on the FlightRadar app, he and sil are headed to Jamaica for a week. That was really cool to watch.

I spy…..Dale :) Good morning!! Hope everyone has a great day!

Not surprised that I woke up to rain. I am not going to let it stop me from going to the gym, especially since tomorrow they are closed.

Slept a little better last night thank goodness. At least I feel like I did. The rain is doing its usual "don't you want to cuddle up with a book and do nothing" thing to me.

    I am ignoring her. heehee

I am going to take back the little tablet I bought yesterday. The girl neglected to tell me it would have its own telephone number and I would be charged.

I called Spectrum last night and she said there would be no problem returning it and she deactivated that number. I should be more careful and asked better questions but they should have made it clear also. Oh well, easily rectified. I did not need it anyway. I have an older one and the only thing I do on it is watch tv and listen to the radio. Y'all should know I also have an electronics addiction to go along with all my others.

    Enjoy the day!

    Good morning Lurkers.
I'm amazed I went to work yesterday, torrential rain greeted me when I awoke, and it persisted til at least noon.
I made a rash decision to hunt a Geocache during my first break... not a good idea. 10 minute time window, still raining, no visible trail to follow through the fairly dense underbrush up hill . I laughed at myself when I returned to the truck....soaked trousers, moss and greenery all over me and no find :(
Still it was fun, and I dried out over time.
Not having learned my lesson, I hunted another during my "lunch" break around 5pm. Trails this time, but soggy muddy ones that did not lead to the location fast enough for my liking, so I set off "line-of-sight" ..mmmm big ravine ! ahh, there's a fallen tree across it. Yep. I went across that tree, soggy wet bark, danger of broken stuff if I fell, at least a possibility of another soaking. Made it!
And got to the GZ, giving it a good scouring with no result... at least I was out in nature, doing what I enjoy. Checked the time, hit the trail and back to the truck.
After leaving work I rolled up on a simple, easy and fast (barely get out of the car) GC to keep my streak of 18 consecutive days with a find intact. My longest streak is 38 days, so I have a goal.

It's blustery, 48° and sporadically rainy today...seems like good weather for a quick stomp with the dog.

Have a lovely day wherever you may be and whatever you do

Wow Kelt you were a busy boy!
    Ha!
Somehow I managed to find time to gather with Co-workers for a pre-work diner breakfast, do a Gearshift audit on 1/5 of our fleet of trucks, deliver over 200 packages to 136 individuals and businesses, and make over a dozen pick-ups, driving 75 miles for the work day, and 74 miles (round trip) for my commute.

Got home and dispensed pills to the doggo pack, prepped for today, and made some design notes for the neck pouch I'm prototyping, so I have some sewing time this evening.

I also have a gear addiction, backpacks, knives, pens and flashlights, and a blooming interest in drone flying (help me)

Good morning Rat2, Kelt and Joey

Sounds like everyone is dealing with unpleasant weather. Raining. High wind warning for this evening. Have everything plugged in to charge including extra power banks in case we lose power.

Thank goodness you were able to return the tablet, Rat2.

Definitely sounds like you had fun despite the sogginess, Kelt.

Oof, Joey. Last time I checked we were supposed to get maybe an inch by Monday afternoon.

Dale, when do the boys come home, tomorrow?

Working on laundry, dishes, general cleanup before I jump into washing windows, baseboards, ceiling fans cupboards. Hope everyone is having a decent day.
