    Good morning everyone

My elbow is starting to calm down some. I’m able to bend it a little bit more every day as the swelling goes down. Not forcing it at all just taking it easy.
    Hi Joey
I was going to ask about your elbow, glad to hear it’s healing well :thumb:

Lols Rat2, your mind is unique
    I think so too!

I’ve currently got an orchid, kalanco (sp?) and jade
Orchids are gorgeous. I keep looking at them but I prefer the less expensive plants since as soon as they enter my care, they are on death row.

Who knows? Maybe my arthritic thumb has turned green too. It could happen. It is so exciting to have living things around me. They calm me and I haven't been calm in a long time. I like it! The back porch is looking more like me every day.

It was so nice to be back on the treadmill, reading my book, listening to music, and eating cinnamon candy with the fan blowing on me. And people say I can't multi-task. I beg to differ.

Went and had my thyroid tested today and was pleasantly surprised that it only cost me $28. I was not sure what it would be without insurance. I sure hope it comes back normal. It would be nice to have something normal on me.

Stopped by Aldi's on the way home and spent $50. Of course $20 of it was two planters and 4 microfiber towels. I was elated to see that the eggs were down to $2.27 a dozen.

Came home and continued trimming the Boxwoods. That is til I got the battery-powered trimmer stuck and when I pulled it, it came apart. It took me waaaay too long to get that sucker back together. I thought I was going to have to ask my little texting friend that works at a lawn and garden place to help me and I hate bothering people. Derek is the man who picked up my aunt's mower to be fixed. I talk to everyone and he was a talker too. We have been texting for 10 months and 23 days and he still has not asked me out although he says he is going to. I've never dated a younger man.

Only six years. That's not too bad. He has not dated anyone in a while. His girlfriend of 12 years hooked up with a classmate from high school and left him. Guess that could do it. Or maybe I scare him.

Good morning all. The sun is shining beautifully and that makes my day start off exceptionally well. That is until I saw how filthy the windows were on the back porch. I can't have that in my newly created happy place.

As soon as I finish my bush trimming project, that will be next on my agenda.

I received my thyroid results and I know why my hands and feet stay cold all the time and why I have not been able to lose that last 10 pounds. She is doubling my thyroid meds and wants to check it again in a month. I figured she would need to adjust them and hopefully next time they will be in range. I was on ArmourThyroid for almost 19 years with continuous normal results and since the new meds are natural instead of synthetic, I hope to have the same result.

Going to go to the gym and git-r-done and then I guess I will see if I put that shrub trimmer back together properly.

    (fingers crossed)

    Enjoy your day!

    Good morning Rat2
Hopefully the increased medication works for you!

    Good morning everyone

My plan is to go outside with my daughter to pick up branches that the wind has blown off the trees. Also need to rake the leaves that I did not do last fall
    Good morning Joey
We just mow our leaves, good for soil accumulation.

    Good evening lurkers

Ohh Rat2, sorry your meds have to be increased :( Sun is out here too, we hit 70 today. 75 tomorrow and over the weekend. Next week will be back to normal temps.

Joey, you best be careful with that elbow! In our old house, I used to make Dh help me clean up leaves that collected in front of our neighbors fence. We had 2 big trees in the front yard and I’m certain a good portion were ours. He would get so irritated but I felt it was the neighborly thing to do. New house: no perimeter fence and no trees = no leaves

Haha, Dale. Sometimes I wish we had a privacy fence. New neighbors have a security cam on the side of their house pointed in our direction. I know it’s to keep an eye on their shed but it still makes me uncomfortable because that side of the house is our living space. I kept the top half of the plantation shutters open 24/7 but now as soon as it’s dusk, I close them.

Sad to say no one smiled today. But no one likes to come see me to get their business done. I’ve always said they have a chip on their shoulder before they even leave their house. ;)
