Finally heard from Dan today. He has a pinched nerve and went to a chiropractor today. I hope he feels better soon but not sure why I have not heard from him since last Thursday. We talked tonight and he said I give him mixed feelings. He says he thinks we are working on a relationship and then I say something that makes him think he is being thrown to the curb. I suppose he has a valid point. The problem is he is moving a lot faster than I am and it scares me.

I just enjoy being with him and we have a wonderful time. Why can't that be enough? Enough woe is me.

I worked in the attic a bunch today and I think I sweated off most of what I gained while I was away. The fan helped but not much. I think since it is so hot now that it would be best if I worked very early morning or after dark. I do see progress though. There are 5 big bags of garbage that I will get rid of tomorrow.

I found some more cool things. An old typewriter. I thought I was going to break my back picking it up. It is in really good shape. Maybe it is worth something. Who knows?

I ate supper with my aunt and cousin that came in from South Carolina. Since I am driving so much he asked me if I would bring his mom down to visit him. He said her car needed to be driven on the highway. First of all, I don't like driving other people's vehicles. Does not exactly sound like the fun I have been having going to meet Dan. I really think her kiddos should be taking her. Oh well, there goes another woe is me. Sorry.

Good morning Dale and lurkers

I’m sorry, Dale. I was so out of it yesterday and never did mention your friends/dad. I hope everyone has a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Sending good vibes their way.

Well that just stinks about Dan. Hopefully you two can come to an understanding, Rat2. Hope his pinched nerve settles. Definitely an awesome attic find.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Good morning everyone

Hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July

@daleron prayers for your dad and friends that they get better :nun:
    Good afternoon Joey
    Thank you hon :)
My friends husband is a good bit older than us and they’re going to have to collapse his lung to remove the cancer plus he has severe copd so it’s a bit concerning. Dad’s 83 and has so many different health problems it’s always a serious thing when he goes under. Not sure how Pam managed to get a hole in her colon or how serious that is

I got rid of the five bags of garbage and all those 5 cushions dad made me put up in the attic when he bought new cushions. Never did figure that one out. I filled two recyclable containers on the street with cardboard and then visited the dumpsters behind a grocery store.

Went to my cousin because she said she would trim my hair for me. She asked me to bring her a milkshake from Cookout which made me feel better since she did trim my hair. It would have been rude for me not to get one and drink it with her. Such a sacrifice.

Why do all beauticians want to talk you into cutting your hair short? I let her cut it up to my shoulders 4 years ago and I just did not like it. She says it would make me look younger. I really don't care. I just love putting it in a ponytail. It's low maintenance.

Dan's back is still giving him a fit. I am not sure how he is going to drive tomorrow. I hope it will be better. He is also sad because he did not get to pick up his little dogs and he so loves spending time with them.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 4th. I fixed a baked potato and was still hungry so I fixed a PB&J. I have not had one in a long time so it was pretty good. I would have rather had a steak.

Good evening Rat2. I ‘ve experienced that with beauticians too, maybe they think they’ll get paid by the inch

Sorry for Dan’s woes , hopefully he’ll be better soon.

Steak is good but tonight I was more interested in the salad, only ate about a fourth of the steak.

    Good evening Dale

We had stir fry and finished up the strawberry shortcake.

Yup, back to work. That’s ok, another mini staycation coming up the week after next. Fingers crossed we get nicer weather this time ;)

It sure was a hot one today, 90. Tomorrow will be the same. Cooler for the weekend.

Hope everyone had a great day!

I worked in the attic again today or should I say sauna. My pores have never been cleaner.

I found out why my hummingbird feeder has been going down so fast. He even knocked one on the ground. I have fed them for years and this is the first time I have ever had a problem with a squirrel.

    20230705_073911.jpg

Found a little plastic figure in the attic today and threw it in the garbage. I found another one in the box and used the Google Lens app to see what it was.

Screenshot_20230705_135440_Google.jpg Needless to say, I got the other one out of the garbage bag. What kind of person would spend that much on a little plastic toy that is not even cute? There is no telling what I have tossed in the garbage before I started looking things up. Sheesh!

I have a dental appointment tomorrow that was supposed to be a 1. They called today and wanted to know if I could come in at 8. I go down to the local community college and let the students clean my teeth. They want a good grade so they do a good job but it takes F O R E V E R. The things I subject myself to just to save money. They have to do x-rays tomorrow so they said it would be $7.50. It's $5 if they forget.

    Hope everyone is staying cool.
