Good afternoon Dale and Kad :)

Thank you for breakfast and wise words to remember ;)

    Hope all is well, Kad!

Just now sitting down, can’t believe it’s already after 3. That’s what 2 weeks worth of deep cleaning get ya  and it’s almost time to start dinner  poooh!!
I don’t have to worry about supper tonight, we’re meeting dad and Mary at a restaurant at 5. First time I’ll be eating in a restaurant in 3 years, I haven’t missed it but wouldn’t miss meeting dad for the world.

I got back around 4 this morning. Long drive. Had to stop pretty often because of my leg. Grrrr Traffic is better at night but it is more enjoyable to see stuff around you. All in all, it was a nice trip. I actually could have stayed a couple more days. Well, only two days because that was all the extra meds I carried with me.

Slept in late and started getting the wash done. Thank goodness it is all over with. I am still rather tired from my trip. I haven't even gone down to my aunts to get my mail. I had Temu and Amazon packages, so you know I am tired.

I did not feel like going anywhere because I am tired of eating out. Since I wanted something easy, I just thawed out a container of spaghetti. I had the Texas Toast but no salad mix. That's okay. I am hungry and will eat anything.

Ken is doing remarkably well considering. I know it is going to take some time to heal. A sneeze came up quickly on him the other night when he did not have his pillow to cough in. Boy did that hurt him. His ribs have been making noises. I can't imagine. I have never had broken ribs. I hope he will continue to get better.

Miss everyone. Hope you have been having a nice Sunday.

    Hugs.

    Good evening lurkers

Yay for not having to cook. I hope you had a nice time with your dad and Mary, Dale. :)

Glad you’re home safe, Rat2. Hopefully you two can rest up some and feel a bit better soon. We had spaghetti too. No salad but I did steam some broccoli that we needed to use up.

    Sweet dreams

I did all my traveling laundry yesterday. Boy, you mess up a lot when you leave your house.

A cold front has come through. It is only supposed to get up to 59 today. I am ready for cooler weather but I am not ready for mulching leaves.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good morning Sara and Rat2

No Sara I wasn’t nervous about the restaurant but any social situation is stressful for me and seeing how bad dad is doesn’t help. He’s in such awful shape but I did learn they’ve got a caregiver now to help with bathing and stuff.

You should know that you’re important to us Rat2 ;) I know all about that traveling laundry, DH is going camping the end of the month and will fill all the hampers when he comes back.
‘It’s cold here too at 47 :thumb: The high for the whole week is supposedly 77, subject to change of course:rolleyes: it is Arkansas after all. ;)

    Good evening lurkers

Last load of towels waiting for the dryer. I do remember a weeks worth of clothes after being in Virginia Beach. Grateful that I only had to wash my own. ;) We are happy you are back, Rat2!! Missed ya.

I’m so glad to see they have help but I’m real sorry he’s not doing well. (((Dale)))

Salad with grilled chicken for dinner. Dh made it while I was on the treadmill. Clean up was a breeze lol. Gonna start a horror movie with kiddo. Sweet dreams

When I went to visit my cousin from South Carolina at my aunts, they sent home a New York Strip steak that they had left over and a container of mashed potatoes. For supper last night, I fixed a salad and added green beans and we had a very good supper. I did not want to go back to fixing meals but after eating out so much on my trip, I did not mind it at all.

Ken must have been really tired. I cannot believe he is still sleeping. We stayed stayed up late watching Yellowstone. He had never seen it so I have been watching it for the second time and I am picking up stuff I missed the first round. I guess I was on the computer or doing something. It is sad but I just found out there is not a Season 6. I watch Sam Elliot's 1883. I still need to watch 1923. I have not been watching any tv since Dad died so it is nice to have someone to watch it with.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    Good evening Dale

    :bday: to your dad!!

We had pizzas on flatout crusts. If you’re not familiar, they are the thickness of a flour tortilla. Then bizarro me, had a pouch of maple and brown sugar oatmeal with a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses. Managed to hit 100% of the DV for iron today. Don’t think it’s something I will be able to pull off daily, but maybe a couple times a week. Better than nothing, right? Lol

Oh dear, I don’t know that I knew there wouldn’t be a season 6. I haven’t watched any of the spin offs.

Off to watch the next installment of Jeepers Creepers with kiddo. Sweet dreams

    Hi Sara
That’s great that you were able to hit the mark on your search for iron in your diet.

    Pleasant dreams to you too.

    Good morning lurkers

Thanks, Dale. Hopefully I can see a good increase next physical. Dh was teasing me that I wouldn’t be able to get through the oatmeal. He thinks the blackstrap molasses is awful. But I honestly didn’t mind it. In fact, that will be my breakfast today ;)

Happy we are halfway through the week. Hope everyone has a good day!
