    Good morning lurkers

Thanks, Dale. Hopefully I can see a good increase next physical. Dh was teasing me that I wouldn’t be able to get through the oatmeal. He thinks the blackstrap molasses is awful. But I honestly didn’t mind it. In fact, that will be my breakfast today ;)

Happy we are halfway through the week. Hope everyone has a good day!
    Good morning Sara
‘’Yes hopefully it will improve greatly.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening lurkers

Our turn to have breakfadinner. We had french toast (I added banana, drizzle of caramel and a squirt of reddi whip) and homefries with onions.

Think it will be another early night for me. I am so tired. Kiddo and I will have to finish the movie maybe tomorrow. Sweet dreams

Oh dear, I don’t know that I knew there wouldn’t be a season 6. I haven’t watched any of the spin offs.
I watched 1883 with Sam Elliot. It was really good. I think Tim McGraw is a better actor than he is a singer and he is a real good singer. I enjoyed it. There is 1923 too but I have not watched that. I think they are making 1944 or something and it is supposed to have Matthews McConaughey.

Ken thought he was going to mow the yard yesterday but I would not let him. I didn't think it would be good on his ribs even though they are doing very well. I have been doing it for so long that it was not a big deal. It was the 21st time I had mowed this year. Yes, I keep a list. I hope his ribs are all healed by the time the leaves fall. I will gladly let him help.

Bought a rotisserie chicken at Sam's and it was so good. It is nice to know that there is one thing that has not increased in price. They are still $4.95.

Last night, I took the leftover chicken and made a pot pie. I used the Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit mix for the topping and it was pretty darn good. I took my aunt a big bowl of it and she called me and told me how good it was. It is so nice to do nice things for people that appreciate it.

I went to bed tonight and went to sleep but woke up after just an hour and a half. I hate that. I tried to go back to sleep but could not. I guess I will try again. I am cold for some reason. Guess it is the change in the weather.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

    Good morning lurkers

    Chinese is always a win!!

Chicken pot pie sounds fabulous too! Ooooh, Sam Elliott, you say. I will have to add that to my list to watch! I wouldn’t have let him mow either. How long did the dr’s say broken ribs take to heal?

Can’t say I feel any more rested today. :?: Sorry you didn’t sleep well, Rat2.

Hope everyone has a great day!

For some reason this sounds like it would be a good vape, gonna have to put on my thinking cap and try to come up with a recipe.

    Good evening lurkers

For sure, Dale!! My schedule has been off for about 2 years now, brain fog, night sweats, mood swings. Dh is probably ready to ship me off to a private island….I wouldn’t mind

Kad, my version of banana foster. ;) perfect way besides banana bread to use up those ripe bananas too! Vaping it would probably be amazing.

Taco Thursday at the Love household. With corn for the veggie. Hope you all had a lovely day! Gonna aim for an early bedtime again. Sweet dreams

How long did the dr’s say broken ribs take to heal?
He told Ken 6 weeks and maybe a little longer.
‘Has it even been two weeks since he had that accident Rat2?!
It doesn't seem like it but it has been 17 days. He is really doing better than I expected. He says they are not rubbing together nearly as badly unless he coughs/sneezes. He says he may try to get the bike out this weekend. (crazy if you ask me) but I understand he misses it. I think it is getting a little too chilly for me to venture out on it. We will see. I am a thrill seeker.

Bless your heart. When I had my hysterectomy in 92, he would not take my ovaries and said there was a 50/50 chance I would go through menopause. As of yet, I have not had one hot flash. With my cold feet and hands, I would probably enjoy them.

but my knee said, “nope…not today.”
I understand that! I listen to mine too. It is okay if there are days I can't. I am old enough to know it is better to agree with what my body tells me. We just get along better that way.

Good morning all! Chilly here but the coffee is good. And this is going to be another lengthy post from The Rat.

Thursday, we went to Hobby Lobby to get Ken's granddaughter a $50 gift card. She loves making things. We went to the Moose Lodge after we got it. We hadn't been there in about a month and everyone seemed to miss us. There are such nice people there. I got hugged a bunch.

Well, anyway, I left the gift card out in the Honda for some reason that I have not figured out why I didn't keep it in my pocketbook.

Yesterday morning I filled out the card that I had gotten and went out to the Honda to get the gift card. The only problem was that the Honda was not where we left it in the driveway.

Can you believe it? My SUV was stolen from my own driveway. I always lock my doors. It is just a habit but Ken does not (I think he will now). He felt bad because he didn't lock it. They also dug through his truck but Ken could not find anything missing. I can't tell because it is full of stuff.

I personally think it was just kids taking a joy ride or maybe someone looking for a gun. They emptied out his glovebox looking for something. Moved everything in his truck. There was a nice expensive drill in his backseat and they did not take it. That would have been easy to get rid of at a pawn shop. There was also a nice knife in plain sight and they did not take it either.

Of course, I called 911 and they said they would send someone out. They called me back about an hour later and said they were not coming because it was raining. Sheesh! He said they could not get fingerprints from the inside of Ken's truck. I know darn well I have seen them do it on TV.

Where is CSI when you need em'?

Because our 3 vehicles were old my dad would not carry comprehensive on our insurance so there is nothing that I can do. I should have changed that when he passed but I've been so busy I did not even think of it. Since it is a 06, they would not have given me much anyway and I would have paid a lot of the extra coverage so I am not too upset over that.

In fact, I'm not upset at all. I hate it happened and I have never had anything like this happen before but why get upset over something I cannot control? I am just very lucky that I have other means of transportation. I hope that they do find it on the side of the road somewhere. We will just have to wait and see.

Because my garage door opener was my car, Ken figured out a way to put a master lock on it so it could not be opened. He said we could go buy new remotes today to reprogram. It is nice to have someone to go through this with. I sort of like having someone in my corner.

It was a heck of a day. I also received the first notice of wanting payment from my attorney. I went to them last December and they quoted me $1800. She said it could be a little more depending on their time. Evidently, they put more time into it than I knew about because I have done so much myself. I received a bill for $4,700. Now that upset me a little bit. They sent a list of what they did and the date but did not have any times listed. There is not much I can do but I will voice my opinion.

Well, this post should make you feel better about the kind of day you had. You are welcome.

    Good afternoon

Oh man, Rat2. I am so sorry about your cars. That is absolutely awful and insane the police didn’t even bother. Hopefully it is located in one piece. I would be through the roof with that lawyer bill. You poor thing. I’m glad to hear Ken is feeling good enough to entertain the crazy idea of riding. Lol Men!! 6 weeks is not a life sentence.
