Good mid day TARTARA, Dale and Rat2 :)

Just got home from the vet's, can't remember if I mentioned it and too lazy to go back to my previous posts. Lucy has been limping since before Thanksgiving. She likes to attack the washer, vacuum and pretty much anything that makes noises. I wasn't sure if she injured herself or if she's just getting older. Anyhoo, treatment is rest for 2 weeks and 2 different meds. No apparent injury, so if things don't improve then she will need to be sedated for an xray to see if there is a partial acl tear. I'm not keen on her having to be sedated so hopefully the rest will work.

Good thinking on splitting the cost of the refuse bill, Rat2. Chili over a baked potato sounds delish!

Think it will be a movie and electric blanket kind of day. I am freezing. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Good evening everyone :). Finally saw dad today and he looks terrible :(
Our visit might have lasted 5 minutes and he asked us to leave he was so tired. Mary said they might send him home today or tomorrow, they’ll have to have in home help for sure.

Supper was nice, garlic and herbs turkey loin, baked sweet potatoes, salad and toast.

I am sorry about your visit also. I was hoping for a nice one. Maybe he will do better when he gets home. The hospital always gave Dad Sundowner's Syndrome, which is very common in older people. Hope the next visit is better.

It was fish night last night. We went to Sharon and Kenny's and rode with them to Harbor Inn. They have great seafood. I got the same thing I always get. The shrimp was good. Ken got Alaskan Flounder and it was really good. So thick and there were 4 big pieces. I ate several bites of his and I might get it next time. I am always afraid of fish bones but there were none tonight.

Tonight, we are supposed to go to my fav restaurant Bonbon's with my aunt and cousin. Every time I have taken Ken there, he wants the ribs. They are awesome. The best I have had where I live and I have tried a bunch of places. You just grab the bone and it slides out completely clean. So tender. My mouth is already watering.

No wonder I have gained 10 lbs. grrrr

After we left their house, we stopped by the Moose Lodge and everyone was so glad to see us. They are awfully nice to us. They are having a band there tomorrow tonight and Ken said we might go listen to them. I do love to see people sing and play. Probably because I do neither very well. heehee

We cleaned out a small closet today. Dad has kept every cell phone he ever owned and the box it came in. Found an old Polaroid camera still in the box. It was so heavy I could hardly hold it up with my thumbs. They have been bothering me something fierce lately. If I had insurance, I would go get some cortisone shots in them.

We found an old and heavy adding machine. The kind where you put the numbers in and had to pull the handle down. Glad they had that in the closet instead of the attic. Not sure how old it is but I remember dad using it when I was real little and that has been a good while ago. heehee

Happy Saturday to all. Hope you have a lovely day. It is going to get up to 68 here but 85% chance of rain on Sunday. My joints and bones are already feeling the rain. Oh well, it could always be worse.

    Good morning everyone

oh no, sick? I'm sorry Dale :( I hope you feel better soon. Lucy is pretty much the same, she doesn't complain and if you weren't watching her walk, you wouldn't know there is an issue. Dh took her with him when he dropped kiddo off at my parents so I could vacuum. I have a feeling we will need to do an x-ray in a few weeks. Thank you for breakfast and quotes

Brownies and meatloaf, what a perfect day, Joey!! Jealous all your shopping is done.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Joey and Sara
I’m about done with Christmas shopping. Nothing is wrapped yet but we can’t put any under the tree anyway as Paco would tear it all up

Not much beats meatloaf and mashed potatoes

Sorry Lucy is not improving Sara :(

We were going to have Kalli today but with both of us sick she has to go home.

I’m sorry you are feeling yucky. There are quite a few people in the office that are sick. I hope it doesn’t keep you down for too long.

I’m still off. Go back tomorrow through Thursday and then another 4 day weekend. Need to finish my shopping and wrap too.
Oh wonderful :thumb: Short weeks are great ;)

Boy did we have the rain yesterday and I felt every drop.

I was really looking forward to seeing the luminaries but of course, they did not have them. I did go to Ollie's. I had a coupon for 15% off anything. It was rather peopley and we both quickly decided that there was nothing we could not live without. Before I left, I gave my coupon to a nice man who had a cart full. He probably thought I was crazy but who cares?

We had leftover ribs last night. Yum! I fixed steamed cabbage, mac&cheese, baked beans and cornbread. I good southern meal. heehee Ken went back for seconds so he either liked it or was starving.

We stopped by a bar close to home last night. Ken accidentally left the back window cracked and the rain soaked the back seat all the way over to the other side. He was so afraid I would be upset but you know, he did not do it on purpose so what was there to be mad about? It is supposed to be dry today and I am going to open all the doors and try to dry it out. That should keep it from getting moldy-smelling.

They are having a Christmas party next Saturday night at that little bar we go to. They are going to have a bunch of food. You bring an unwrapped gift to donate to Toys for Tots and another wrapped gift (under $10) if you want to do the Dirty Santa thing. I have never done that so it might be fun. They had a girl there yesterday who was putting glitter strands in everyone's hair. I sure wish I had been there. They said she was busy all afternoon and made a bunch of money. It was $2 a strand. I am not really sure how she did it but it was supposed to stay in for a long time even when you washed it. You know I would have had got me some. heehee I do love to sparkle.

Dale, this is no time to be sick so I hope you are feeling better soon. Bless your heart. Sending healing thoughts your way.

Sending Lucy some too, Sara. Our pets are our babies and I know just how much you care. Maybe rest and time will help. Probably a good idea to take her for a ride if you are cleaning. I bet she is funny barking at the vacuum. One of my little dogs went crazy but only when I cranked the weedeater.

I have Christmas shopping to get done this week. It will be easy though because Ken said he has always given his family gift cards. I guess you can't go wrong with that.

Hope everyone has a nice day. Get Monday over with and the rest is a breeze.
