I tossed and turned and got up and down all night long. Yep. It is supposed to have some hard rains tomorrow and I am feeling it. I think we are having rain the rest of the week. Yay! Not! heehee
So glad the power was okay this morning. I detest having to wait to have my coffee. This is not a sign of aging. I have always wanted my coffee as soon as I get up.
Ken just asked me if I wanted to go outside with him to smoke. It is 32 degrees so what do you think I said? Guess the honeymoon is over.
I got the stuff to make beef stew but we have so many leftovers in the fridge, I think I will wait until tomorrow. I hate wasting food although the critters don't mind.
Hope the day goes fast and easy for all that want it to. Me? It does not matter because I'll have to check what day it is before the day is over.

I too require my coffee no matter what so I have a small gas powered stove and metal pot just in case
I used to have a camping grill that would heat water but. . . I lost that in the divorce.
If it had not come on the other morning, I would have gone and gotten a cup. If it had been snowing, since I don't drive in that, I would have walked to McDonald's.

It was long and miserable But that means only 4 more to go and then long weekend for the holiday (MLK Day)
Long because the boys were up hootin and hollerin over the football game. I despise late night games. Had a serious convo at dinner about consideration for those who are trying to sleep during said games. My smarty pants kid says, “well no one said they were going to bed and I don’t remember a hug or kiss goodnite indicating you were in fact going to sleep.”
Somehow I doubt it would have been quieter had I announced it. I did apologize for not saying goodnight. Lol Then not only did the security alarm started chirping at 4am so did the smoke detector in the basement 
I take my coffee cold mixed with a protein shake.
I can barely keep my eyes open, so I’m gonna call it early….and will definitely be passing out hugs tonight. Sweet dreams

Well, what did The Rat do today that was ridiculous? I tried to boil a pot of water to make a gallon of tea and went and forgot about it. I was doing my jigsaw puzzle on my laptop and Ken asked me what I was cooking. Yep. Boiled all the water out and was burning the bottom of the pan. I scrubbed on that pan for a very long time. I got it off and I think it is ok. I fixed my tea. Things like this are starting to happen at an alarmingly frequent rate. It is what it is. I just laugh when I do something like that. (and then I tell y'all)
Tomorrow is another day and I am 99.9% sure I will do something else.

Woot!! Waffles for dinner. I’m excited. We got a new waffle maker with plates that can go in the dishwasher. Even being able to soak in the sink is a win in my book.
Weather sure is crazy here. Snowed about 2 inches, turned to freezing rain, everything was covered in ice and then to rain with monster winds. Fingers crossed we don’t lose power.

Oh that must be a great waffle maker! Cleaning mine is a headache but waffles are sometimes worth it No snow for us but it’s been particularly nasty today with much wind and very cold temperatures. Very low overnight temperatures expected this week with slowly warming day temperatures until rain mid week then another extreme cold snap over the weekend. I’m visualizing ice before it’s all over

I save the pot after some serious scrubbing so now I can chuckle about my mishaps.
We had hard winds and rain all day yesterday. After reading so many alerts I filled the tub up with water just in case we lost power. I have a well and it is best to be prepared.
Fixed a big crockpot of beef stew yesterday and the house smelled so good. Ken liked it a lot. I took my aunt some of it today. I usually do that when I fix a big amount. She appreciates it so much. I took her banana pudding Monday and she called just to tell me how good it was. I like sharing.
I am fixing kielbasa and sauerkraut for supper. I usually fix mine with onions and green peppers but Ken mentioned he likes it with kraut. It will probably be okay but I am sort of want waffles now.

It was in the 30s and we still have the awful wind.
I was only laughing about you wanting waffles, Rat2. We (as a family) haven’t had kielbasa….ever. My mom used to make it when I was a kid. I should get some. I’m kinda craving italian sausage. Might have to add that to the menu next week. We had mini pizzas and salad. I picked up a 3 pack of crusts at Aldi’s and then discovered someone ate all the sliced pepperoni when I went to make it. So I had to thinly slice some off of Dh’s stick that he got for Christmas. It was meh! I didn’t like the crusts and the ‘roni was thicker than I prefer but I did my best.
Thank goodness half the week is over. Went to bed at 8 last night, think I’ll do it again tonight.
