Good evening Dale

So glad you didn't have the severe weather, Joey.

Wow, Dale. That's chilly for you. Just realized I didn't stop in this morning lolol

Fran, hope your wind wasn't too bad.

We had french toast, bacon and fruit for dinner. Looking forward to the weekend. Planning on trying a new to us recipe. Mississippi Pot Roast.

Time to wind down. Hope everyone has a nice evening

    Good evening lurkers :)
I made DH my kind of supper tonight . We had broccoli salad, apple slices , part of a cucumber, ham slices and some chicken for him. Also broke my 2 quart dish in the process , I’ve had it longer than I can remember.

    Good evening, Dale

Sorry about your dish. I don't like when that happens to me.

We had pork chops, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. I've been weighing my food and tracking again and let me tell you, 100g of potatoes is nothing, I was cheated!!!!

A local butcher has chicken quarters on sale. 40lbs for $35. We pick it up next weekend. Should be interesting to learn to cook. We're a chicken breast kind of family. I did make that split chicken breast in the crockpot and last weekend the boneless chicken thighs. Never too late to explore new horizons.

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening.

Chicken quarters are generally a good buy, I bake most of ours. We’re the opposite, white meat is our least favorite.
‘Back before everything was big sized a serving of meat was actually about 4 ounces, nowadays it’s ridiculous what people eat. DH and I are happy with half a ribeye and loads of veggies.

Hope you have a restful night and great weekend ahead

    I agree!!! :(

Rocky one for me too. I was up 4x. Oh well, lots to do today.

I probably only eat 4oz of meat at a meal, but I have a love/hate relationship with carbs ;)

Hope you were either able to get back to sleep or can grab a nap today!
    Good morning Sara
‘Ugh sorry you had a bad night too, I’d blame the moon but it’s well past full.

No nap yet, don’t know what the afternoon holds.

Carbs is bread, potatoes and pasta?

lol I know. I eat more carbs than meat because I love carbs. But they aren't that great for weight loss. So in that respect I hate carbs
I've cooked for 4+ decades with lineage of excellent Italian cooks before me, who taught me along the way.

My motto: Cook what I want to eat | I'm a Foodie.

Super cool! Italian genes on one side but no Nonna to teach me the ways. My current motto: Eat what you WANT, add what you NEED. Don't even get me started on 2oz of pasta being a serving. Just plain criminal

I'm jealous that you can pass up breads and pastas, Dale. lol I wish. Oh, who am I kidding. No I don't.

    Hope you sleep better tonight.
I sure hope so! Needed some pain medicine so just took some Tylenol p.m., that ought to help. Going to bed soon, hope you have a restful night
