Trying to convince myself to go to Walmart, desperately want some salad mix and it’s not something DH values
Vegetable beef soup and cornbread for supper, lots leftover but the weekend is upon us so it may not last long.

Yeesh, that is costly and omgosh, those temps would have made me ill
We had burgers, fresh corn and fresh beans for dinner. Got distracted and the beans were almost charred
They tasted a little smokey but not too bad.
So glad it's the weekend. I am so very tired. We were down to half staff all week and it was super busy.

Got our grocery shopping for the week done. We had to buy household stuff so that drove the cost up. Gosh, time to start making laundry detergent and shampoo at home.
I know it can be done and have read up on both, just need to do it.

Yeah it gets expensive doesn’t it.We’ve got sunshine but hoping for rain later in the week.
I kinda feel like I am just doing drive-by but I have been so darn busy. Keeping up with Perry is a full time job. I had not quite gotten over fixing all that salsa and then we shucked 240 ears of corn and blanched it and then cut it off the cob to freeze. Worked 10 hours on it. I was a tired puppy! I may have to start staying at my house more because I do not seem to work near as hard (even though I know I need to).
We sure need some rain too. It looks like we may have a wet weekend which is okay since we need it so bad. I will try not to complain. I need some down time anyway.
Had a wonder 4th. Went to one of Perry's friends for dinner (hotdogs) and they have two neighbors that compete each year to try and outdo the other on the fireworks display. Somebody spent a bunch of money. It was one of the best displays I have ever seen. I told Perry I would love to come again next year. Hope everyone here had a great day.
I am at Perry's again today because he is having the sub floor installed. The man (which is a friend of Perry's) just asked me if I could use a drill. Darn it. I was going to catch up on here. Oh well, Perry had to go to work and left me here. A woman's work is never done!!!!
