How’s your day going, love? Wishing you the best day as well!!
Went okay, didn’t accomplish much though ;)

Do you work? If so what do you do? I retired at 62 but am still working part time as a contract worker for an old butcher friend.

Nothing wrong with a lazy day!

I wish, I miss it. I’m a stay at home mom; I also homeschool my oldest (he’s autistic). My hands are pretty full lol :p But damn do I miss getting out and adult interaction lol!

I stayed at home with our two until both were old enough to stay alone but I definitely didn’t attempt homeschooling. I do admire those who can.

    Good evening everyone

    Welcome to the forum GP

Hope you all have a great night
    Hi Joey.
Hope work isn’t sweating you too much!

    Good night everyone. :)

Aw sorry luv, it’s always hot and humid here in Arkansas but at least I don’t work in a factory without air conditioning. I couldn’t handle that anymore.

At least we can go into the break room to cool off for a bit ;)

Homeschooling definitely isn’t what I set out to do lol; COVID pushed the hand on that one. After they all started returning back to school staffing went down drastically, they took away his 1:1 and his services voiding his IEP… Rendering that environment (and his learning ability there) useless and stressful. He’s never been as successful and relaxed as he is since starting the homeschooling program though so it’s a win! Online makes it easy, and he’s actually ahead two grades now. Too smart to keep busy, and too affected to cope— makes for a rough situation in public school!

    Good afternoon everyone

Corn fields are not cooperating this past week, hopefully we will be running full bore tonight. I hate it when we do not run production, with nothing else to do I usually ask to leave.

Hope everyone has a great rest of your day

That great that he’s doing so well with his schooling at home

I don’t blame you, standing around with nothing to do at work is boring! However for your financial situation I hope the corn cooperates. ;)

Supper tonight was a ribeye with green beans and hash browns … I admit that I really dislike cooking shredded hash browns, I much prefer the patties but these were free so there’s that. ;)

Looks like we're going to get a reprieve from the heat tomorrow before it goes back into the triple digits.

Be nice to see some rain if it actually comes to fruition.

Good morning, Joey and lurkers

Stay cool over there, Joey. Summer is almost over and before we know it, it will be snowing. lol.

Don’t get me started on Bluetooth/iphone, retired  Works great in the beginning and then as time goes on, won’t connect, searches forever so I’m stuck with the lightning cable. Which also doesn’t connect whenever it feels like it. If my commute were longer than 12 minutes I might spend more time trying to figure it out. I had Sirius for a long time and finally cancelled. Too much repetition.

Oof, Dale. Lots of kiddos at one time and while I know you adore and cherish them, it would definitely be tiring.

Rat2, I hope the dr can get things figured out with Perry. I’m sorry he’s still not feeling well. Did you say if he’s on bp meds? They might need to tweak them, I know that can take a bit to get them just right.

GP, another kindle reader over here. Thanks to TikTok currently into Dark Romance (not so much pitch black, more on the morally gray side) but I will read anything. Just finished the Kindle Unlimited trial and stayed with it. That is awesome that your son is doing well with the homeschooling. I have one and he will be a senior this fall. Not looking forward to an emptyish nest. lol

Off to make my shopping list. Have a great day!

Good morning Joey and Sara.
Currently 78 here at 6 a.m with a very slim chance of rain this afternoon. Humidity is 94%.

Yes Sara, our grand children are very much loved and at the same time tiring

Having lunch at a Mexican restaurant today with the whole family to celebrate DD’s 35 birthday. Other than that I’m hiding in the house ;)

Almost over? HAH! We're in the oven until at least the end of September, and even then, it's not uncommon to see 90s going into October.

    Repeat after me. APPLE SUCKS!

GP, another kindle reader over here

Kindle is an absolute godsend! After dragging boxes and boxes of books world wide while I was in the military, having the ability to have all those books and then some at my fingertips is nothing short of a miracle. People keep telling me I need to get AppleTV (fat :censored: chance!) to watch the Foundation series. Watch it? I've already read it! (And yes, Asimov's Foundation Series is an absolute must read!) I dread watching something that is supposedly based off of a book or series of books. Take Game of Thrones for example. First season was pretty danged good and followed the first book pretty well. Second season ticked me off to no end as they started jumping all over the place and not following what was in the books. Stopped watching it and refused to pick it back up. The books were much better anyway.

Initial training has ended at the school, and after a written test on Monday will be ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) certified. It doesn't stop there and the next two weeks are designed to build on that foundation. To say it's intense is a bloody understatement! Gotta get in some more range time. My close up and personal aiming needs a bit of tweaking as we're expected to take the shot if at all possible. I'm good, but I need to get better. And the one thing that will ruin your day is missing the bad guy and shooting an innocent bystander. I now have two ranges I can go to which is nice. My usual range I already have a membership, but there's a second range that all I have to do is show my school ID and I'm allowed free range time. I intend on taking advantage of it on a regular basis.
