All is forgiven.

Yeah, I just wanted to know so I could *check* on the batteries. I wasn't actually going to buy any. I just want to know if the ones that are supposedly going to be used in the V2 are available where I live. I never buy stuff ahead of time unless I know for sure it is going to work.

So I was just going to look.

lol its all cool man im just trying to think big picture i guess ...i dunno the way i see it whats easier on steve means he has less email to answer and more time filling orders and doing r/d for the protege.
Call me crazy but the less fuss the better i would think... maybe im just a fundmentalist follower of the kiss principle

You also have to remember even if you can buy them locally alot of people might not take into consideration that things may change and they tend to become upset at steve when they have money invested in things that dont work.
Really it comes down to its the consumers fault for jumping the stick but that doesnt make it any easier or better for steve, my conclusion was just to not have to deal with those issues and not realease the information till it was set in stone

Again, fundamental design cosiderations like batteries are in fact set in stone.

The Protégé should be nailed from the get go, considering the tool to press the adapters (which was the correction for the Prodigy) has already been made and things are being pressed correctly now :)

I think they are too but to be honest untill the unit is produced and selling I still thing changes can and probably will happen. I may be wrong but I think its probably healthy to assume nothing is set in stone at this point.

If it's all the same I'll go with Steve's take on it. :)

Im not sure your reading steve correctly he said the adapter has a tool that is made and should be in working order with that said he said the basic design "should be pinned down" Now i will agree with you that it sounds pretty well set and done but there is still room for change, with the word "should" instead of saying the design is set and ready for production.

Well I do not know who this Antebellum person is, but I feel they should get a FREE one since you guys are using the name that he/she came up with!! :) LOL

Look forward to seeing some previews of this unit as I think it is right up my alley. What are you estimating the battery life on this unit? I am looking for something that will go 6+ hours if not more. Tired of changing the batteries on my Dura-C. :(

I am a guy living in Georgia. I expect nothing at all because I love my Prodigy and the name seemed natural for the Prodigy's little sibling. In fact, I don't think I need one. The big one seems to be socially acceptable everywhere I've used it, and nobody has ever thought it was smoking. :D

Believe me, that would NEVER happen. We would absolutely never open up something else for either pre-order or shipping until the Prodigy stuff is caught up. Don't worry, we're getting everything all taken care of!

Thanks for that clarification, Casey :) Umm, wait..that means Prodigy AND PT adapters, right? :D
