I like that about the saloon too and there's nothing wrong with joking around and having fun. That's what this place is all about. I know I skipped past your question, got tired of reading all the one liners that ended being 10 pages.
When I'm in the mood I'll jump in when I'm not I'll go lurk the timeline and get involved in a new member thread, get into an argument with some screwball recommending a new person get either a zna30 or a 30 amp mech and learn now to wrap a macro nano triceratops coil. Then have to come back in here to regain my sanity.
It wasn't that serious though. It was probably the tamest of all posts between last night and tonight. In fact if you look at the quote below by me you may be able to piece it together sort of. I'm not gonna repeat it for obvious reasons. But in the "offenders" defense I do think it was a tad harsh considering the tember in the room at the time. At the same time I think it was the only way the moderator was going to pull in the reigns. If you know what i mean

I don't recall what yours was, but could it be you asked a question that no one in the room had an answer to?
Certainly, I've seen that happen - someone asks something a little technical or about a specific bit of gear, and no one knows...so no one answers...
Which is extremely sad considering we were one of the few sections that DIDN'T require moderation- we did a fine job of our own but those days seem long gone.
It shouldn't take Ocey to have to come remind us all the time to watch what we post.
As a member of the ProVarinati I respectfully ask the rest of you to step your game up- much of what's getting tossed around here is turning folks off.

I can understand that and I'm sure that's happened in the past; I know I've seen it but it was a wicking wicking question and really not all that important.
In it of itself the scenario is what is a little agitating. I've come to the point where I'll generally pm someone whom I know will have an answer; then, come back on here with the same question. so I can see what options are there. Like coils I'll ask kiwi, drummer or bad. The custom stuff I'll go to you or scandal. I was just asking about rayon; but, the rayon was already enroute. I was looking to see if I had to wick it differently.
All that said I can understand where people could get really aggravated with putting up a question and not getting a response; at the same time, the world doesn't stop spinning because someone gets dizzy.
I know for a fact I didn't answer your rayon question; not that I was ignoring you but cause I've never used it.

I didn't bother reading. But I take it as a reminder to stay inbounds and we are watching.
I wasn't alleging any one person just making a third party observation. truthfully I don't personally care, like I said it was already enroute. I was just making the point on behalf of others about another thing that could be turning some people off. If you asks a question and 45 minutes to an hour goes but and you see 35-40 other posts but your question hasn't even been noticed; when other people are told hello and they haven't even posted anything it could be a little discerning; especially to people new in the saloon.

Ultimately, sometimes it takes a slap on the wrist to bring one back to civility.
Six of one, really. I do rather like having a place that's not exclusively focused on vaping and I have never had a real delay getting any question or post answered when it's outside of the saloon.
They're not set up for it, but it would be sort of cool if they could put a sign on the door, "Enter at own risk. Contents are often off topic and may not be rated G." But at least this is better than another board I was on for a while where if it wasn't suitable for 2-3 year olds and non-offensive to anyone in any culture from anywhere in the world. You couldn't even make a comment about having an adult beverage without getting a permanent 'strike' on your record. (Since those types of beverages are offensive to people from certain religions.) That got really old, really fast.
That said, um, obligatory vaping comment, when's my p-thingy going to ship? Wah!!! I have ONE mod and a backup eGo battery. Ship already, ship! Patience was never my strong suit.

The mech is not my thing for all day that's gonna drive me batcrap crazy. I'm considering getting a cheapie ego or something to hold me over I still have my aerotanks and evods. Hell I'll take a vamo ... Jesus strike me down

Ok I'm gonna be praying the satin silver mini is still on clearance on July 3rd. That'll be my backup and the one I can get customized. One 2-18350 batteries should be good for a night out on the town.

To bad we don't live closer. I have a spare whole kit. It's one of those little blister pack thingies but it'll fire a coil. (Ok, an Evod or Aerotank or pt coil.) I'm keeping it for the next hurricane, which considering I live in Nevada ...
But I have thought of getting or making a really basic mech at some point, possibly even a bottom feeder. I don't see the point in buying a Reo when I can make something that does the same job for a few spare parts and some time with Fimo clay. Could probably make a pretty cool Reo clone with Fimo, now that I think about it.

It's cool bro, thanks for the thought, something will work out, it always does, if not I have no one to be angry with but me. I was warned by half the saloon at one point or another. Things just always came up. Hell I could get a dna30 clone first week of July but I REFUSE to buy a clone with a board. With my luck that'll short out and burn my house down. Maybe Lizzie's MVP will come in earlier and I can get mine back.
Either way my prediction is I'll buy the mini and a week later the p3 will be released. When i ordered mine 2 days later the emerald green came out- so angered me.
