Well, I'll say my piece and be done with it. All of the saloon's have had their cliques IMO. Before ECF started cleaning up and moving things around, I tried to join in on the deaddog saloon but was never acknowledged. So, I gave up pretty easy and just lurked. I tried again after the move to the provape subforum and it seems it took a certain person to respond to my post before anyone else got on board. By the time this thread began I was a tad bit more comfortable. Yes, sometimes things did get out of hand with all the innuendo flying around. I also noticed that the more "popular" personalities no longer came around. However, I was never on the inside, so to speak, to begin with, so I didn't know the reason. It's sad to see from my standpoint because with ECF as a whole, people have been targeted or ostracized for simply owning and even not owning certain devices.

The main reason many of us are here is because we are fighting the daily battle to stay off cigarettes. If for no other reason, we should be able to come together for support and information as well as have a good time.

Anyway, I'm getting off my little soapbox now. Have a great day everybody and has my signature says.....(see below)

Live well, Love much, Laugh often and vape on.

As far as I'm concerned Testify!!!

Thank you very much. This was the kind of information I was looking for. It's really hard to figure out some of this stuff from Youtube. My local shop has some good folks, but they're just not into rebuilding. They're here for the college kids with the egos and a clearo, which is fine, but not my thing. They work, but I'm too hard on stuff.

I mean I killed a Spinner. I didn't think that was possible! Yeesh. Not to mention the fact most of what I vape breaks tanks. I mean really does, isn't just advertised to break tanks. (I'm doing a running survey over on the ejuice forum. Its interesting to see what juices have actually melted or damaged what tanks.)

It just takes practice to make coils. I'm pretty consistent at it now.

I posted on that other thread already.

Indeed, indeed. I think that was the primary cause of the vast exploration of my vocabulary the first time I built mine. Then I found out it was too low.

Although I think I'm doing something wrong. I keep thinking I shouldn't need 15 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal to hit 1.5 ohms. I mean every build I've seen people doing was in the 1.3ish range, but they're only using like 9. And the inductance on that one really makes batteries unhappy.

Yet another reason for a Provari. You might end of draining your batteries, but I get the feeling it isn't going to destroy the board. Or at least if it does and is under warranty, you're in luck.

The number of wraps also depends on the diameter you're wrapping around. Some people use 2.25mm, some use 3/16" so when you ask or
You check you need to know the diameter of the coil. Also I've noticed on my patriot at least, if one of the post is not screwed all the way down I will show a hire Rt. Haven't checked in a Kayfun.

I use a 2mm diameter rod- it's actually cut up pieces of wire hanger- I measures the diameter with a set of calipers and it showed 2mm- 8-9 wraps gives me 1.4 ohm with 28g.

There has got to be a better way to capture wires on a Kayfun. The one I'm using, I capture the wires around the screw head and tighten it down. But my fingers are just not working well today. I'm about to just give up on the RBAs and go back to clearos and carto tanks. Not a lot of flavor with those, but at least I can change out a carto or head when I need to.

I loosen the screws pretty far and keep the coil on the "wrapping tool" the wrap the leg completely around the screw and pull it tight. Then tighten the screw, seems to grab pretty well that way. Sometimes; though, I need to use tweezers to to pull the legs.

I stick with 28g and shoot for 1.4 ohm with provari- use a 2mm rod to wrap. Usually 8-9 wraps. Shooting for .08 when I get done with what's in it though, gotta try and maximize this mech till I get my precious back.

It is a Trollop Training Camp!

Disney itself actually offends me. All of the "princesses" are from divorced parents, most of them are not of color, they teach little girls that sexual contact with boys cures illnesses, they gave the world Miley Cirus/Britney Spears/Alanis Morrisette/Justin Timberlake..............need I go on?

Mine is an EHPro KFL+, no holes, no nothing, just very tiny rotary wire binding devices. Very, very tiny ones. I'd thought about investigating some kind of clip or friction binding device, but most of them are too big or won't take the load. Most electronics at that size are built for milliamps, not amps.

I have some 32 AWG on the way so I may try it. Lots of web sites give the length of the wire for the resistance but I'm still hunting for number of coils. Most coils look far, far shorter than mine, but never having had a chance to study different builds in real life, I'm rather stuck with Youtube and the like. Makes it a little difficult. Especially as I don't have calipers to measure the wires I'm using to wrap with. I think it's the right size and people have used it, but ...

Still waiting, counter time, tick tock tick tock ... wonder how late the postal critter is going to be ... waiting ... ;)

We have the same one- try backing the screw out almost all the way; the positive post is shorter than than the neutral so be mindful of that. Lay the bit or walkways we you use with the legs facing down and make a complete wrap around the post them tighten. Works every time!
Once the posts are tightened you can position the coil and cut the left overs.
