Disney itself actually offends me. All of the "princesses" are from divorced parents, most of them are not of color, they teach little girls that sexual contact with boys cures illnesses, they gave the world Miley Cirus/Britney Spears/Alanis Morrisette/Justin Timberlake..............need I go on?
Disney princess also teach girls that they must be a certain size, and dress a certain way to be beautiful. I also believe that some of them dress too provocatively.

And lest we forget that awful song from Frozen?

It just takes practice to make coils. I'm pretty consistent at it now.

I posted on that other thread already.

Yeah, I figured. You should have heard me when I learned to solder. Or maybe not. I went and hid while I was practicing that one. At least with coils you're not very likely to burn yourself.

And thank you again for your response! I did notice you. It's been really interesting, actually. Although it looks like it's going to fade for the longer thread. Oh well, I learned what I wanted to. Which is no, most of these juices aren't instantly deadly to the heavier and better built plastic tanks, like the Aspire or the Kayfun tanks. Just the older cheaper ones.

Hahaha I learned to solder in a computer class back in 97- we had to take a motherboard from a 486 and verify it worked then de-solder the entire board; have it inspected; then resolder the entire board and it had to still work. The class was pass or fail. That class room was like the Tower of Babel 99 percent of the time.

I loosen the screws pretty far and keep the coil on the "wrapping tool" the wrap the leg completely around the screw and pull it tight. Then tighten the screw, seems to grab pretty well that way. Sometimes; though, I need to use tweezers to to pull the legs.

Like the trick with wrapping it around the legs. Thanks!

Although I think if I ever create my own atty, I'm going to use some kind of clamping mechanism, not the way all of these are done. But then it'll be for me and my friends, not for sale. The biggest issue is most connectors have solder in them somewhere, making them non-food safe. Not to mention the fact that solder does flow at the temperatures coils reach.

When I first built my KFL+ I kept looking for the holes to stuff the wire into though. That's the type of 'capture' I'm used to.

Oh yes. Had a couple of ex-military guys who liked working in my lab last semester. They'd be talking about parallel processing and all this cutting edge stuff ... and every other word was at least off color if not downright vulgar. The effect was more disconcerting than offensive. I let 'em be. They weren't too loud and it didn't seem to be bothering anyone, it's just the way they were.

This is the one computer lab on campus where you are allowed to eat, drink, vape and be noisy. Thus, if someone has a problem, they can go to one of the quiet labs. I hang out there 6 days a week, at least 8-10 hours a day. (well, Sundays are a half day. I need some kind of a break.) That way if someone does have a problem with the noise they can come in at another time. Sundays we even have music and often set up the XBox or PS3.

So when my precious gets here, I'll be redoing that coil. I think there's something really wrong with it. I shouldn't have to have that many coils of 28 gauge on 1/16th to hit 1.8 ohms. Actually, rebuilding that KFL+ will probably be my project so I don't assault the poor mailcritter when he arrives. ;)

Realistically, I think that things here are sometimes taken too seriously. It is just an internet forum. You have to be an adult to use e-ciggs so you should be adult enough to hear certain language. I also think the rules here are a little goofy.

Having said that, I do see the point of view that if a new person came here at certain times, that they could be turned off by coming here at all..........ever again. I am not really in that camp myself. If the conversation wasn't as random as it is (going from serious talk about mods to risque talk to how Disney is offensive), I wouldn't find it interesting. We are a group of different individuals but everyone is greeted here with open arms regardless of what we discuss at different times.

When I first started coming here, there was the same postings about random things. Although I don't think the jokes went as far, they were still joking to a level that someone could possibly get offended. I think we are all friendly and familiar enough with each other that if anything I said offended someone........I would hope they would send me a PM. I am an adult (sometimes), you are all adults and for as much right as I have to say what I say; you have the right to say if it bothers you. I know that people don't always "get me". It is intentional. I enjoy coming up with things that walk the line or is crazy for the effect. Some of the "original" saloon go-ers don't come around as often or at all anymore and I don't know if that is just circumstance or that the recent talk has driven them away. If it is the talk that happens here......sorry. Say something if you are bothered. I just think that anything that someone says has the strong potential to offend someone else. Everyone is so easily offended these days anyway.

I have seen some things that I thought were over the top as well but I don't complain at all. Mainly because I don't care enough but you have no right to get mad about others complaining about you and turn around and complain about something someone else does.
