Big Screen looking good man! I had a thought for you and joining the NR wire to the Nichrome without all the twisting, have you ever used crimp beads before? Something like these and you can get them in silver and in pretty small sizes at a Michell's or your local craft store. I use them a lot on my Penelope.

Boy, that would sure make things easier! If they still fit in the tube after squashing them, that might be all that's needed to seal in the top.

If not squash'em flat and fold them over on themselves and squash again :D put some JB on that puppy sand slide it in there!

Yeah, those crimp tubes/beads are way cool...makes it sooo much easier to connect the NR. Be sure to get the proper size crimping tool as it will make the tube fold into itself and creates a nice compact finished product.

k3vin, here's an eBay listing for 100' nickel wire 32AWG shipped for about $11...not a bad deal.
